The art style, and the learning about the other part of themselves.. while in ergo, it's *actual* transformation, vs. persona, which is the idea behind the transformation of yr inner persona..

Both RahXephon and Persona have the main character thrown into a situation which requires them to fight for, at first, somewhat unknown reasons. However, RahXephon is more serious than Persona.

What is reality and how far are you willing to go to protect those that you care for? When does something just disappear and becoming nothing, and when does it become real. Both of these Anime deal with characters who can summon something and it comes from their personal feelings.

- A very similar, almost mystery puzzle-game like atmosphere. - Mysterious, deadly, supernatural phenomenon killing people off. - Posing ""'deep'"" and ""'philosophical'"" questions. - Similar themes re: group identity, consciousness, etc. - Investigations and storylines involve actual police, not just a bunch of children wandering around.

Both are supernatural dramas featuring teenage protagonists and police investigations.

Both deal with moral dilemmas (however in Persona they're far more subtle), and are well-animated. The character designs are detailed both in Phantom and in Persona, and plot is really slow paced to the point it may be boring.

Both Persona Trinity Soul and Blood+ share several key staff members and both shows feature the same kind of atmosphere as well as emphasis on familial themes and relationships. If you like Persona TS, you will more than likely enjoy Blood+ as well.

In both animes there is a group of school students with special powers who have to fight monsters to protect the world from destruction. Both animes also has similar atmosphere - rather dark and sad. They both also have similar tempo - they are not dynamic, with unexpected leaps of timeline but once you get into them, they are quite gripping.

Both focus on the idea of weapons hidden within human body, which are closely connected with people's souls; both feature teenage protagonist who is forced to use those weapons in order to fight for his family's and friends (as well as the world's, of course) sake; action in both takes place in the future, a bit more distant in GC. There are also some obvious similarities between the two girls who are the keys to enigma, pasts of the protagonists and their families, background events fundamental for the shows and the general messages behind them, however GC is more action-packed and futuristic, while "Persona" is  read more

Kids solving spoopy supernatural mysteries in a small town. High school in Trinity Soul and middle school is Ghost Hound. Psychobabble and creepy atmosphere.

Their both adaptations of the Persona JRPG series, both have a dark feeling to them. If you liked Devil Survivor be sure to give Trinity a try. Trinity has more suspense as well as character development. -Trinity is a sequel to the Persona 3 series, slightly more realistic as well. -Devil Survivor 2, is based off the Devil Survivor series (obviously) which Jackfrost is iconic in. -Trinity's persona's take a spectral form, while in Devil Survivor, they come digitally and take physical form.

Both series revolves around supernatural beings able to perform supernatural feats beyond human understanding. Additionally, there is a dark background in the stories and mystery written all over it. Both series contain drama and action delivered well.

Both are focused on a modern Japanese setting and a ya cast getting caught up in strange occultic events and share numerous amounts of religious symbolism in it as well too.

Both animes have a dark tone. Both are slow shows that involve plenty of character development, some sort of memory loss, hints on big mystery. Zegapain, however, is more flashy because of its mechas, but the atmosphere of the story is similar to Persona Trinity Soul.

Both of these Anime deal with powers based on the reflection of ones soul. They also have a dark horror side to them and power can get out of hand.

Those two animes are similar in a strange way, I can't quite explain the similarities. But anyway, if you like D.Gray-man, you mite like Persona ~Trinity Soul~ as well. I guess the the supernatural abilities make themsimilar...

Certain people have strange abilities that manifest as somewhat robotic-looking creatures that fight for them. In particular, both shows seem to have factions fighting against one another.

These two series seem to go hand-in-hand for some particular reason. Both of these are not only based on a video game series, they also are dark action series who manage to be occasionally happy, but always trudge back to its long moody sections.

Well, it also has a "dark ambient" sometimes. The mechas and the Personas are pretty similar, too.
