Matantei Loki Ragnarok

Well, I was only expecting to watch Special A at the time, but found this instead. Since it was the weekend then, I was able to watch 4..or 5 episodes of this, from around episode 4 I believe. Initially, I expected something like Detective Conan, but of course that was wrong. MaLoki is a show that focuses on Norse mythos, the main character obviously being one of the deities.

The show is good for laughs, I'll admit, but if you're looking for detective work here, the manga does a better job, though of course the manga's focus isn't on that so it's still a far cry from any mystery novels and such.

It's surprising for me to find out that the mangaka who made the series which this anime is based on is also the co-creator of another anime/manga I watched and somewhat liked, Tactics.

Honestly, I like Yamino-kun here better than Loki, though he has his moments. Mayura is a bit more loopy here than in the manga, but she has her "fushigi mystery!" moments in the manga too..just not that often.

This series, manga or otherwise, I feel needs a little more fan love and I recommend it, as it's a funny series, but also delves into mythology (if a little bit distorted from the actual Norse myths) but as usual, I would rather people go for the manga instead, although the anime does have good clean animation and the episodes are nice, they just don't have that same feel as what the manga had. But maybe that's just me, missing the murder elements in the manga...ah well. read more

Produced in 2003 by Studio Deen, composed of 26 episodes, written by Sakura Kinoshita, "design" over the Oka Moriko, directed by Hiroshi Watanabe and a beautiful musical arrangement (Rakuen no Tobira and Believe in Heaven are good examples), this anime tells the story of a young detective named Loki and his companions. Detective stories are common, but you've seen some based on Vikings Gods? This anime explores one side of half-forgotten history of animation, "Norse mythology", that is, the Gods Vikings are the main characters. But what they are doing on earth, more precisely in Japan?

According to the plot, some gods were banished from Valhalla (Valhalla is the palace in Asgard where Odin lives with his warriors) because of some acts they committed, against the wishes of Odin. Among them are Loki (Fuchizaki Yuriko), the Fire God of the Norse and blood brother of Odin. He is considered the symbol of evil, the master of tricks, trickery and magic. Loki is now seen as Aces (well), or as Demon (Mal), and according to legend, he was arrested on a rock, which will remain until the end of the world, when it is released. He married a giant called Angrboda and had 3 children, one of them was Hell (the Goddess of Death ... watch the end of the anime ... eheheh).

The anime is represented by a young man who appears to have about a 10-year, very intelligent, skilled and owns a detective agency. Working with him we have his friend and servant Yamin Ryusuke (Miki Shinichirou). Yamin is the incarnation of the snake that ate the world's mythology, anime and it serves Loki almost blindly, as one must for some, questions his master only a few times, just as the dog Fenrir (eheheh ... someone CDZ ever seen, the Saga of Asgard ???). In fact, quoting other anime, I can not speak of the Norn sisters: Urd, and Skuld Verdandi are killers sent by Odin to kill Loki (opss. .. someone saw Ah Megami Sama ??)... but, returning to the subject, Yamin and Fenrir has something in common: they are children of Loki ... hey! Loki is 10 years ... Yamin and his partner and Fenrir is a dog ... are children of Loki? How? ... Just watching ... I will not tell ... ^ __ ^

In the anime, in one episode appears a robbery, according to mythology, actually occurred, the "theft of the necklace of the goddess Freya, which Loki hid himself among the rocks, but Heimdall recovered. But as to the plot of the anime, Freya was with her spirit trapped inside the collar, and when the young Heimdall recovered, she was freed.

Moreover, I have one of the funniest passages of the anime, which is when Frey, the brother of Freya, the fantasy of a thief trying to steal the necklace (which is in a museum) in order to regain his beloved sister. Sincerely, Frey (Takehito Koyasu) is a ridiculous clown that makes a good laugh. Well, talking about Frey: He is the God of Freedom, Peace, Fertility and Fertility Fields of Men, which flows through the air mounted on the Golden Boar, which bristles radiate intense light. Heimdall (Romi Paku) is one of the Norse gods. In the anime he is a young man who hates Loki with all his strength, is also stuck in the human world and, for some reason can not return to the world of the Gods. According to mythology, he is the God of Light, "Splendor of the World," Father of the Guard and Human Rainbow. Whoever keeps the door of heaven against the giants, which would explain part of the hatred he has for Loki. It senses so acute that reportedly can see the growth of wool of a sheep (Wow! ... That which is keen sense). At the beginning of the series, he shows an exaggerated and irrational hatred of Loki, trying to kill him at all costs, but toward the end, it becomes more balanced, because above all he admired the courage and strength of Loki.

Apart from these characters, we have other very important, but give the plot why? If the thing is able to monitor the face of astonishment of the people watching ... I say one more thing: it gives you Narukami-kun! (PS: someone throws ragonline? Most powerful attack of Wizards of the game "Wrath of Thor" could well be launched by Narukami-Kun ... after all, the God he represents is the owner of this power ... eheheh .. . need to mimic ^ O ^)

When I saw the anime, I confess that all the poetry of the Gods Scandinavian just fascinating me, and I was attracted immediately by the anime. The design also helps, because it decays during the series, at any time to note flaws, but there's nothing spectacular. The story is good but somewhat vague, because it explains many events does not explain "why" of things are happening, it explains so much irrational hatred, does not explain why so many persecutions, nor Odin knows what he wants .... eheheh . In short, the plot got very good ... lost in the middle ... but reunited a final and appropriate. But the outcome of the anime left to be desired, it is as if someone shouted, "I want, I demand a sequel!". If these decreases were not in the plot, would be a great anime, but from the start he gets down: fun with no intention to innovate, and that's what he does. The bottom line is nothing spectacular, but worth it.

PS: Ragnarok is a Norse myth about the apocalypse, and talks about worlds being created and destroyed: it means "the doom of the gods." It is a world in which the drama unfolds in a conflict between gods and giants, this conflict in which the gods appear at a marked disadvantage, the "ice giants" (refers to the harsh winter Scandinavian) are invincible. Ragnarok is the final battle between the gods and their enemies, led by renegade Loki. One by one the gods fall, although the monsters and giants - including Loki - to die. In the struggle, the Earth and the universe perish. The sun and moon are swallowed by the wolves, who harassed them since the creation. The earth caught fire and was destroyed in a new "big bang". Almost like an insignificant detail in the course of battle, life and humanity are extinct.

This is the end?

No! Somehow, a new generation of gods survives. Another Sun and Moon are the other to exist, a new Earth emerges, a new pair human has to continue the life which had been destroyed.

Histórias de detetives são comuns, mas você já viu alguma baseada nos Deuses Vikings? Este anime explora um lado meio esquecido da história da animação, “a mitologia nórdica”, ou seja, os Deuses Vikings são os personagens principais. Mas o que eles estão fazendo na Terra, mais exatamente no Japão?

Segundo o enredo, alguns Deuses foram banidos de Valhala (Valhala é o Palácio em Asgard onde vive Odin com seus guerreiros) devido a alguns atos que cometeram, contrariando os interesses de Odin. Entre eles temos Loki (Fuchizaki Yuriko), o Deus do Fogo do panteão nórdico e irmão de sangue de Odin. Ele é considerado o símbolo da maldade, o senhor dos truques, trapaças e da magia. Loki é visto ora como Ases (Bem), ora como Demônio (Mal), e segundo a lenda, ele foi preso em um rochedo, no qual permanecerá até o fim do mundo, quando será libertado. Ele desposou uma gigante chamada Angurboda e teve 3 filhos, um deles era Hell (a Deusa da Morte... assistam o final do anime...eheheh).

No anime é representado por um jovem que aparenta ter cerca de uns 10 anos, muito inteligente, habilidoso e é dono de uma Agência de Detetives. Trabalhando com ele temos seu amigo e serviçal Yamino Ryusuke (Miki Shinichirou). Yamino é a encarnação da Cobra que devorou o mundo na mitologia, e no anime ele serve Loki quase cegamente, como alguém que deve algum favor, questiona seu senhor apenas poucas vezes, da mesma forma que o cãozinho Fenrir (...eheheh, alguém já viu CDZ, a Saga de Asgard???). Aliás, citando outros animes, não posso deixar de falar das irmãs Norn: Urd, Verdandi e Skuld que são assassinas enviadas por Odin para matar Loki (opss...alguém viu Ah! Megami Sama??)... mas, voltando ao assunto, Yamino e Fenrir tem algo em comum: são filhos de Loki... peraí! Loki tem 10 anos...Yamino é seu parceiro e Fenrir é um cão... são filhos de Loki? Como?... Só assistindo... eu não vou contar... ^__^

No anime, em um dos episódios aparece um roubo que, segundo a mitologia, realmente ocorreu, o “roubo do colar da Deusa Freya”, o qual Loki escondeu entre a rochas, mas Heimdall recuperou. Mas, como conta o enredo do anime, Freya estava com seu espírito aprisionado dentro do colar, e quando o jovem Heimdall o recuperou, ela se libertou.

Aliás, aqui temos uma das passagens mais engraçadas do anime, que é quando Frey, o irmão de Freya, se fantasia de ladrão para tentar roubar o colar (que está em um museu) para assim reencontrar sua amada irmã. Sinceramente, Frey (Koyasu Takehito) é um palhaço ridículo que faz dar boas risadas. Bom, falando sobre Frey: ele é o Deus da Liberdade, da Paz, da Fertilidade dos Campos e da Fecundidade dos Homens, que atravessa os ares montado num Javali de Ouro, cujas cerdas irradiam intensa luz. É nessa parte que morro de dar risada (eheheh), pois o Javali de Ouro foi transformado num porquinho mecânico que mal se agüenta nas pernas. Temos aqui também a jovem Reya, uma menina que, após ser salva por Loki, se apaixonou perdidamente por ele, mas... na realidade ela é Freya, a Deusa Escandinava do Amor, a qual, na poesia dos Edas, simboliza a paixão violenta. No anime, ambas as versões (Reya e Freya) morrem de amores por Loki, e compartilham personalidades parecidas: são bonitinhas, tontinhas e abobadas.

Heimdall (Paku Romi) é um dos principais deuses escandinavos. No anime ele é um jovem que odeia Loki com todas as suas forças, também está preso no mundo dos humanos e, por algum motivo, não consegue voltar ao mundo dos Deuses. Segundo a mitologia, ele é o Deus Luminoso, “Esplendor do Mundo”, Pai dos Humanos e Guarda do Arco-Íris. Aquele que guarda a porta do céu contra os gigantes, o que explicaria parte do ódio que ele nutre por Loki. Possui sentidos tão aguçados que, segundo consta, pode perceber o crescimento da lã de um carneiro (Nossa!... Isso que é sentido aguçado). No inicio da série, ele demonstra um ódio exagerado e irracional por Loki, tentando matá-lo a todo o custo mas, rumo ao final, ele se torna mais ponderado, pois acima de tudo ele admira a coragem e força de Loki.

Fora esses personagens, temos outros de grande importância, mas entregar o enredo por que? Se o engraçado é poder acompanhar a cara de espanto das pessoas ao assistir... posso dizer só mais uma coisinha: dá-lhe Narukami-kun!!! (PS: alguém joga RagOnline? O ataque mais poderoso dos Bruxos do jogo a “Ira de Thor” poderia perfeitamente ser lançado por Narukami-Kun... afinal, o Deus que ele representa é o dono deste poder... eheheh... preciso fazer mímica ^O^)

Quando comecei a ver o anime, confesso que toda a poética dos Deuses Escandinavos acabou me fascinando, e me interessei imediatamente pelo anime. O design também ajuda, pois não decai durante a série, em nenhum momento se nota falhas, mas não tem nada de espetacular. A história é boa mas meio vaga, pois não explica muitos acontecimentos, não explica “o porque” das coisas estarem acontecendo, não explica tanto ódio irracional, não explica por que de tantas perseguições, nem Odin sabe o que quer....eheheh. Em suma, o enredo começou muito bom... se perdeu no meio... mas reencontrou um final bem adequado. Mas o desfecho do anime deixou a desejar, é como se alguém gritasse: “eu quero, eu exijo uma continuação!!”. Se não fossem essas quedas no enredo, seria um excelente anime, mas desde o início ele mostra a que veio: divertir sem intenção de inovar, e é o que ele faz. No final das contas não é nada de espetacular, mas vale a pena.

PS: Ragnarok é um mito escandinavo sobre o apocalipse, e fala sobre mundos sendo criados e destruídos: significa "o destino fatal dos deuses". É um mundo no qual o drama se desenrola num conflito entre deuses e gigantes, conflito esse no qual os deuses aparecem em franca desvantagem, os "gigantes do gelo" (se refere ao rigoroso inverno escandinavo) são invencíveis. Ragnarok é a batalha final entre os deuses e seus inimigos, liderados pelo renegado Loki. Um por um os deuses caem, embora os monstros e gigantes - inclusive Loki - também morram. Na luta, a Terra e o universo perecem. O Sol e a Lua são engolidos pelos lobos, que os perseguiam desde a criação. A Terra pega fogo e se destrói num novo “big bang”. Quase como um detalhe insignificante no decorrer da batalha, a vida e a humanidade são extintas.

Esse é o fim?

Não! De algum modo, uma nova geração de deuses sobrevive. Outro Sol e outra Lua passam a existir, uma nova Terra surge, um novo par humano vem dar continuidade à vida que fôra destruída.
