Both main girl charecter have to live in the same house with a handsome-smart-cold guy..
very recommended ^_^
Both have love triangles in which other girls fall in love with the main characters "destined one", and vice versa. I think Hana Yori Dango is better, but they are both really good love anime
There both great story's and the characters do more than ust look alike. This is like kodocha note Kodocha is marmalade boy on crack!
Love trouble that has happy ending like Marmalade Boy
Though Marmalade boy is heavy on the romance and doesn't include ESP nor magic. What these shows have in common are that they are quite similar in style and in animation and both shows from the early 90's.Miracle Girls does have some romance but not as much as Marmalade boy.
Marmalade Boy and Ultra Maniac are the only Yoshizumi's works that had been adapted into anime. So, if you liked the art style and story of Marmalade Boy, don't miss Ultra Maniac, which in addition has plenty of magic and fantasy.

There both romance anime with lots of love triangles. The anime doesn't just focus on the main couples but on other charecters relationships. I keepes thinking of marmalade boy as I watched sukkite Ii na yo
in both the girl doesnt like the boy at first but soon falls in love with him. in both, they completly fall in love and many things like going to a far away place for a while, push their relationships to the limit but in the end they manage to over come their problems.
The plots are really similar, due to irresponsible parents, the female and male lead has to live together. They go to the same school and try to hide the truth from their friends. There are many love interest/ rivals whom tries to stop them becoming closer. The art style is kinda similar too.
It's just that both heroines happens to live in the same house with the guy that they like...hehehe
they both have many love triangles, both have comedy-ranma has a little more comedy, the main couple live together because of their parents, the characters are in high school

Ranma 1/2: there is romance, comedy, martial arts, and action

Marmalade Boy:comedy, drama, romance, and shoujo

I really enjoyed both :)
Romance, Comedy and Drama ^^,
Both are sentimental stories, to watch if you like the genre :-P
both has a cute couple that obviuosley needs to be together, but for some reason isn't.
both are funny and romantic, and really remind me of each other.
Both are slice of life, shoujo anime and both are 90's anime. Only difference is Jidai's characters are middle schoolers with some growing pains and Marmalade Boy's characters are high schoolers. I highly recommend watching both anime if you like shoujo.
they both have the theme that one of the familiy member will fall in love with the other...
miki is the spitting image of miaka.
Done in the same art style, and although it's got a magical girl in it, the amount of drama and love between couples is still pretty much the same.
Both are very heart warming storys, where all of the characters are very easy to relate to. Also, both of the series revolve around a couple who are brother and sister (even though in marmalade boy the couple are only step bother and sister!)
