SynopsisThree very different couples caught up in a storm of pure romance!
Romantica: Misaki is struggling to prepare for his college entrance exams, so his brother arranges for a private tutor. But Misaki's nightmare is just beginning when his tutor, Usami, comes on to him! How will Misaki ever manage to pass his exam? And why does he feel so mysteriously drawn to Usami?
Egoist: Just when Kamijou's life is at its lowest, he has a chance meeting with a man who never lets anything hold him back: Nowaki. His name means "typhoon," and he's about to take Kamijou on a whirlwind ride that will turn everything upside-down.

For anyone that is unsure about giving this series a chance, then you should read this to see if its right for you or not. (look for *)
IF! you switched half the guys for girls people would say this is one of the best romance anime's to date. That is how good this story, and anime are!
Okay here is a little background on me, I am a Straight male with no interest in men or for even watching a BL series, However there might be a few people out there who's Girlfriends really want to watch this so..... they FORCE you to watch this (which is what happened to me.) Before i watched this i knew what it was and i had a feeling i knew where it was going to go. well at first try i almost couldnt stand what was going on, i thought to myself OMG RAPE! and turned it off. then about two weeks later i then tried (got forced) to watch it again. To my surprise i enjoyed this, and very much so.
Story 9
Its very simple but very powering with alot of colorful words. its about three homosexual couples how they live there daily lives, some knew they were gay and accept it, it also shows the people that dont really know if they are gay, or even what being gay really means. It shows there struggle through acceptance, denial, and their love for one another.
* If you dont mind yaoi then this is a most watch, this was my first one. IF you like great romance stories with fun characters and sexually funny moments this is for you. IF the thought of two guys disturbs you in any way then i would try the first episode and see what you think
Art 7
The art, well its art. this has just the right amount for what its trying to accomplish. I cant give this a higher score because there is no need for the Art to be off the charts its a Rom/Com. they charcter designs were nice some of the guys looked the same so that didnt help any, i did however enjoy the silly faces misaki made when he freaked out, when the humor comes so does the silly drawings which were nice and a refreshing change from a typical romance style art.
* IF you must have Brotherhood type Art or a style classic like Mononoke or and art that has an old school vibe like bebop this isnt for you, this is a typical and averagely average Art style.
Sound 8
I cant say it was really typical but it wasnt overly aggressive. The OP and ED were decent nothing great, once again pretty average, the music throughout was the same, however when it needed music the most it got it. Every sappy love speech or new revelation they encountered the music fit wonderfully.
* Not a mozart score by any means, also not some Glee infested over hype. I dont really think theres much to say, but just to be safe if your looking for an awesome blow me over feel from the music and how it makes the whole mood better it does this decently. so if you a sound type of guy/girl not for you.
Characters 9/9.5
They were fantastic, i swear misaki is a tsundere... i dont know if thats how it works but whatever. you could clearly tell after a few episodes who wore the pants and who wore the mini skirt in the relationships. The characters were cute, funny, and dramatic what kept me from saying 10 was the over dramatic parts. most of the time the characters pulled of the role great and really shined but every half dozen episodes it was just to overplayed. The last couple to be declared really surprised me as well it also added in some nice background drama that i thought was pretty interesting and cant wait to see who they work out and how the other characters work out there relationships.
* Well this is a BL series so for obvious reasons if you cant get past that you wont like this, if you can do what i did and just treat the "weaker man" as the women you will be happy with this series. I think if you watch this it will be hard to say anything negative about these wonderful characteres.
Enjoyment 9
at first i really did not like this, it started of awkwardly with a little mis communication along with other things. Then after that moment passed i really started to get into this and found myself really wanting the relationships to develop. just really great.
overal 8.5/9
If this review helped and made you want to give this a shot then chances are you will love this it is a pleasant surprise and kind of a shocker for me that i actually enjoyed this as much as i did.
Thank you i hope this was helpful.

So since no one has gotten a chance to review this anime I guess I will do the honors of being the first. I stumbled upon this anime while searching for random videos of youtube and I have to say I never expected it to be as good as it turned out to be. I just cannot stop watching this anime its completely and utterly addictive. Sorry this isnt going to be very dramatic and new york times like.
Story:
Definitely a yaoi girls(or guys) dream. The story is filled of 3 main plots all involving 3 different couples. There is the teddy bear obsessed writer dating the younger brother of his best friend. The loner intelligent associate professor dating the student, and the divorced husband dating the brother in law. All stories giving something that puts this anime together. This anime shows how pure love is and how it is unexpected. Not to mention yaoi galore. Be prepared to watch tons of sex scenes.
Art:
I think the art is pretty good. A little different from what I'm use to seeing and definitely different in a good way. I've seen better but it passes the test. It seems to capture the love scenes without making it too *cough* explicit.
Sound:
The opening is alright I suppose. And the music during the show isnt that memorable.
Character:
Character development in this anime is extremely face paced. But there is never a moment in which you dont know how a certain character is feeling, but it also leaves openings for surprises and turns.
Enjoyment:
As I said at the beginning this anime is absolutely addiciting. I can sit and watch it all day. The stories that are told are touching and show how love can exist in the most unexpected and different ways. It also has its comedic moments which dont fail to make me laugh, and it is extremely hard to make me laugh.
This anime no matter how much it reminds me of gravitation is definitely worth the watch. Just make sure there arent any children in the room ;) read more

Same author, same producer, extremely similar stories and characters. I do prefer Seikaiichi Hatsukoi over Junjou Romantica, because the characters of JR are slightly more annoying. Also, more importantly, the relationships in JR feel forced and unnatural. Here is a description of them---
1. I actually love your bro, but now I suddenly love you, a highschooler, because you showed pity on me;
2. We grow apart because of our inattentiveness towards each other (read: we grow bored of each other) and so we don't speak for years when you go abroad, thus we have sex in library to solve all our problems;
3. I love you, but I am cursed because you married my sister, yet now you suddenly become gay and a cradle robber and want me, a highschooler.
That sums up the relationships of JR. Compare with SH 's relationships, which suffers much less from this---
1. highschool love, break up through misunderstanding, renewal of feelings when meeting after many years, but denial of feelings on one side, plus on the other side a jealous overprotective friend who once might have been something more than a friend;
2. three long time friends, but there are more-than-friends feelings running around, which causes jealousy and confusion;
3. love at first sight for a pretty face, and a jealous ex-one night stand.
SH's relationships have a better basis, which is why the story is more believable and therefore better IMO.
The story was created by the same author. And they both take place in the same story world. If you like one, you'll like the other.
Though nowhere near as good, Sekaiichi follows Junjou's style of storytelling by showing three couples all somewhat related to each other. It's more of the same, but the relationships are far less varied which is disappointing in my opinion. However, if you like one you may like the other just as much.
Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is basically Junjou Romantica again, but this time everyone is in the manga business.
Same author, same environment, same types of characters and relationships. If you've liked one , you'd enjoy the other as well.
Both animes are about boy love. They both show 3 couples. In both animes, in all the couples, one of them works in the literature business. Sometimes it's an author, others are editors and others are literature professors.
Both by the same author, boy love, focused in three different couples
The same mangaka, very similar style, if you like one you sure liked the other.
They're both by the same people, so they have similar artstyles and story lines. They're also both yaoi, and all yaoi-fangirls will love both these animes. Trust me on this :3
If you like one, there's no way you can't like the other. Seriously. They feel like the exact same show. Check out the other one now if you haven't already seen it.
Both look at three different couples, and their relationships as they progress. They are both Yaoi, if you didn't know already, and are really cute! They are by the same author (Shungiku Nakamaru), so the art is basically the same. I suppose Skaiichi Hatsukoi can be considered as a bit of a spin off of Junjou Romantics, because the storylines are similar, again, with them following three different couples. Both are really good, and if you liked one, you will definitely like the other!
Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and other anime can be seen here: http://www.myanimelinks.com/full-anime-list/
Enjoy!!! =)
They both have similar plots but Junjou Romantica is about 2 peope living together, and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is about 2 people who live next to each other and work together, but in Junjou Romantica, Usagi works as a Writer and Misaki has no job. But they are both filled with the "What going to happen next" feeling as you watch
Cause they both have mutiple couples and not just focusing on 1 couple.
They are both yaoi aniem form the sam eauthor, the art is similar, but personally i think Sekaiichi hatsukoi is much better. Both of them are the best yaoi I've ever seen.
Same producer, same author, same genres, similar characters.
They are yaoi, sexy and romantic
Art is basically the same, however characters are more developed in SH than in JR. Both were created by the same person.
Both have lots of yaoi scenes, although there's a bit more in JR.

Both animes are typical Shounen-ai. Excuse me for making such an obvious recommendation.
Both show love boys ;)
1 boy has similar character as Shindou (Gravitation) and 2 boy is a writer, he writes romance book as Yuki Eiri (Gravitation).
If you pleased from observing Gravitation, I'm sure that you will be charmed "Junjo Romantica".
Both feature smoking writers who are distant from their families, characters who are afraid to love again, and assertive ukes. After seeing Gravitation, all other BL falls short, but Junjo Romantica is so cute, I think any Gravi fan would enjoy it.
both are shounen-ai romance anime
The way that the characters act remind me so much of gravitation.
Yuki and Usagi-san are very similar characters (writers, distant, painful pasts). The stories themselves work out differently, but both have elements of serious relationship development and comedy.
These are similiar in many ways. If you like 'Gravitation', you're going to love 'Junjo Romantica'! Both have assertive ukes and hansome, cool, semes.
Both are shounen-ai and extremly amazing<3 Both have romance novelists(Usagi and Yuki) not to mention that the voice of Yuki is the same voice as Miyagi from Junjou Terrorist. Although Junjou is a bit more explicit than Gravitation but if you love Gravitation, you'll definitely love Junjou Romantica!
