Digimon Adventure

Digimon Adventure is a short 20-minute movie that kicks off the Digimon saga. It is about Taichi and Hikari's first encounter with a digimon, when they were small children. A Botamon egg appears from their PC, hatches, eventually evolving into a Greymon and protects the children from an attacking Parrotmon.

Story
The story is good enough, though nothing really special. It gets the job done - introduces us to the digimon and the main characters, pus the idea of digivolution. There really isn't much room for story in a small movie like this, but I still think they could have expanded on this more.

Art
The art is good enough, for it's day, though looking at it now, it's not all that impressive. Still, it looks cute, and that works well in this situation.

Sound
There is pretty much only one background song through the whole movie, and it's not even a very nice one. I got sick of it pretty quickly, and they used it in all the wrong places. The scene where Parrotmon appears needed more dramatic music, not that cheesy rubbish. On the upside, I really liked the ending theme. :3

Character
This movie establishes the basic character outlines for Taichi and Hikari - Tai as the overprotective brother and Kari as the cute little sister. Like the story, there really is no chance for expansion here much, but Ithink they could've put in some more effort.

Enjoyment/Overall
This serves as a decent introduction the the Digimon series, but doesn't do very well as a stand-alone movie. Fans of the series will like this for the cute interaction between Koromon and Hikari, but other than that, there really isn't much going for it. Still, I think it is worth checking out. ^_^ read more

Digimon é um anime que passou em todo o mundo. Teve o seu grande momento, mas na minha opinião sempre foi um anime underrated muitas vezes acusado de cópia de pokémon que também consistia em "pocket monsters" porém, é uma ideia completamente errada!

O mundo está estranho, por todo o lado há tsunamis, tornados, nevões, secas e o motivo permanece uma incógnita para a sociedade.
Enquanto isso num acampamento de verão, começa a nevar e sete crianças são confrontadas por acontecimentos estranhos! Quando dão por si estão muito longe do acampamento, muito longe do resto do mundo e o mais estranho é que pequenas criaturas estão com eles, criaturas que sabem falar, e que os esperavam, os conheciam! Na sua jornada para tentarem voltar a casa as crianças começam a entender que estão noutro mundo... o digimundo!

O anime continua, a história é o seu ponto mais forte e está soberba! Enquanto que as crianças vão descobrindo mais, vão entender tudo, acontecimentos do passado e acontecimentos do presente, pois, afinal, este mundo não está assim tão longe, e assim descobrem os digimons e seus segredos, aprendem-os a usar para derrotar os obstáculos, os vilões! Porém nesta jornada o maior obstáculo pode a confiança e a amizade entre eles, só unidos conseguirão ultrapassar os vilões, e é nesse ponto fraco que eles atacam!

É um anime épico, não o subestimem, já o revi duas vezes, a história é envolvente, acompanhado por uma boa dose de acção e fantasia, o design também está bastante bom e por fim a OST que adorei! Tenho pena, o anime sempre foi underrated, noto isso, e sempre foi assim, a primeira série teve a sua atenção mas continuou a ser underrated, basta ir às internets, não há absolutamente nada de qualidade em relação a digimon.

Recomendo a toda a gente, a série recebeu continuação, é engraçado ver como é passado uns anos mas a qualidade é bastante menor e falta-lhe o toque de épico! Quem vir o anime veja também o filme que traz informação adicional à série (não é filler). read more
