Synopsis

Through the long distance warp called the "Exodus Project", Worns, Ryer and the
other crew members of "Watchers Nest" manage to escape from the Earth. Misaki, who
was attending the final battle with "Ghoul" at that time, isn't present there and
before her eyes, the earth changes and gets enclosed by a time barrier.

Ryer and the others search for a way to escape from this space time maze, but the
earth changes to various forms. Innumerable "Nows" appear due to varying time axes.

And also Misaki, who should have disappeared because of the Exodus Project incident,
still afortiori. Before Ryer and the others, different forms of Misaki appear. The
Misaki from training school, the Misaki from her childhood days.

Are these reflections caused by the conflicts that exist inside Misaki?

She awakens a second time and when she derives the response, that history is leading
into a completely differnet direction now.

Will Misaki, Ryer and the others be able to find a real happy end?!

DE2 - Misagi Chronicles is second season for the divergence Eve series.

As a story it generally is about wormholes and multiversal string theory. In first season, they explain how human started to experiment with multiple universes in order to travel faster than light in space. End of that series was that the base constructed around anomalious planet that allowed this travel, jumped inside the anomaly and was trapped. This was due invasion of "ghouls", aliens from another dimension.

Now this series deals with the multistringular theory, and the crew is forced to travel through different times in order to figure it all out and to save read more

What else to say?

Perfect end to an outstanding series.

Every element used is well woven into the story, and some of the episodes were really touching.

The struggle Mizaki is having, trying to fix things she sees as wrong, and the consequences of her actions are so well depicted.

Every thing is explained and put to order, so nothing is left unresolved and all ties up are very well done, which is not common to animes nowadays.

You end up really cheering and worrying for the characters and their struggle, and the final episodes were a fine piece of tie ins, explaining/solving every aspect of what was happening and read more

Recommendations

Similar enemies and feeling as both animes contain travel through time space and some of the characters are somehow stuck in their space of time in one or another way while they trying to resolve the problem. There is also a girl with a unique power which also resembles the enemy’s power and is mostly the key of the mystery in the story.

Noein has a more serious plot, explains the sci-fi elements in a better way and the drama is better while Divergence Eve have more of the fan service part, but if you like animes with with science-fiction I think you will like them both.
