Vexille: 2077 Nihon Sakoku

They're similar in that they have the same visual/art style (cell shading) , and coincidentally is being called, “Appleseed’s brooding cousin” - (Ender-seaslugteam.com) 

Both are sci-fi movies with stunning graphics and humanoid robots. If you liked Appleseed movies you will like Vexille. No dubt about it! 

Same director, many similar storyline moves, comparable CG. Though Vexille is not so epic and has weak face animation (it's like in the 1st Appleseed movie). 

it all about Sci-fi stuff and fighting terrorist organization.the both is made from excellent 3-D design that will make our eyes is being spoiled.and also have a good stories inside.  

Both high octane action-espionage style anime movies with mecha elements and a female lead. 

Both by the same producer and explores the notion of bio engineered humans and other such possibilities. Although, Vexille is slightly more about the ethics of such research and experimentation. But both are equally good movies. 

Both are fully CG animated scifi action movies, with very similar settings (like mech-suits and both main protagonists are members of a special units). And both stories are fairly straight forward and entertaining scifi-romp, without too much pointeless philosophy or thought. 

Visually it looks the same and even the plots are kind of similar. Vexille is a lot more "gritty" in the setting though. 

Both about a post apocalyptic world.Has similar themes through out the story. CGI anime. I don't want to put to much in case I spoil something. But go check out them out. 

Deunan Knute and Vexille are both young, pretty and athletic type ladies. They both take place in futuristic settings and the stories in both those animes involve androids and advanced armor used in combat. The director of Vexille, Fumihiko Sori, and the writer of Vexille, Haruka Handa, both worked on Appleseed. Also, they both have great action sequences (even though I think Appleseed had better ones), great looking CG and music artists like Paul Oakenfield, Boom Boom Satellites and Basement Jaxx both were part of the soundtracks for both animes.
