They are made by the same manga-ka and the main characters are very alike and they are voiced by the same seiyuu
Both are long stories that are mostly about the main couple and their fight against a powerful foe. They both have their funny moments as well.
Bleach is so simular to Inuyasha it's scary. If you like one, you'll probably like the other.
It's a love story and a comedy, but not a love comedy. In both anime, the main character is a former mass-murderer who has deadly potential which is deliberately restricted (Inuyasha's necklace and Kenshin's reverse-blade sword). And mind you, both Kenshin and Inuyasha wear red kimonos (although in Kenshin's case, it's often violet).
Both have to deal with traveling back and forth between the real world and a fantasy world. Both have cute and funny romantic situations as well.
both stories were created by the same manga artist (Takahashi Rumiko)
Both these anime have to do with fighting demons, plus the cute ears are defiantly a plus! They are also similar in the aspects of characters that are out of their elements...Kugen in the human world, Kagome in the demon world...
If you enjoyed the whole "time travelling" theme that InuYasha is based on, then you may also enjoy Rumiko Takahashi's Fire Tripper. Both set in the Civil War era of Japan, a girl in a school uniform who can jump through time & a great love story.

A demon protecting a priestess against his will but later start to accept her.
Both Zenki in his sealed form and InuYasha have also the same voice actor.

I think Inu Yasha are much better because the character development in Zenki almost standing still in the beginning of the serie at least.

It about a girl who falls in to a wheel and meets a half-demon and strangers on the way. They need to find all jealshards before the enemy do. They ends up falling in love with each other. :)
One demonic boy, who of course lives long. His partner is a human girl who looks like another girl in the demonic boys past.
The usual high school student who finds a portal to a different world whilst finding a "foreign" love. The main female ends up befriending many people to help the love interest with his problems. A bunch of action/romance/drama here yet still very entertaining to watch.
Both of these follow strong-willed guys, who travel with a female companion(with hints of romance), while searching for feathers/shards.

A school girl that turns into a priestess and deals with jewels. Does that not sound similar? They both even went through a well.
Both have modern and non-modern aspects to the story line. They also have demons of some form or another.
Both main characters are part demons and have big swords. Their swords have great powers. Though they have separate plots. Both main characters act tough and mean, but they actually help people. They are both filled with comedy, action, and fantasy.
Both deal with demons/spirits. Also, there are some yummy bishies in both of these shows. It's great~
Both characters of Magic Knight Rayearth (Hikaru Shiidou, Umi Ryuuzaki and Fuu Hououji) and Inu Yasha (Kagome) transported into another world to defeat the evils of the demon Naraku and Zagato.
the show kinda mach beacuse inuyasha and lelouch are looking to kill their greatest enimies
A kind-hearted girl meets out-of-the-ordinary boy and family, and helps them. Focuses on relationships and love story more than Inuyasha, but also shorter! And with better character development. (as will all anime, the manga is better, but only slightly different, I suggest to read Fruit Baskets manga starting about ch 31 where the anime leaves off).
With love triangles and love rivals this anime will teach guys to not underestimate a girl's will power!
InuYasha: Kanketsu-hen/ The Final Act (犬夜叉 完結編) is the continuation of InuYasha (犬夜叉).
they both are conceived as an a long adventure at the research of something with an epic love story
both take place in a different time era and both include people fighting and working in a group.

Becouse in Inuyasha and Spirited Away are lot of ghosts and
male main they're monsters. Girls main are children.
The romance is somewhat simalar
And they are both good but D.n angel is shorter but a wonderful 26 episodes
One is the special, one is the series. Obviously you should see both... that is, if you can get your hands on Kuroi Tessaiga, because this one seems to be almost non-existent on the internet.
Same creator! Both romance!
Magic ,people traveling on an adventure, Inuyasha and Orphen are alike you can tell if you watch both anime
A demon is bound...released...and after some clearing up of drama becomes a great friend and ally.
I'm not sure why, but I think you would like this one if you liked InuYasha ^^
InuYasha is very similar to Blue seed. The story uses a lot of the story plots from Blue Seed. Both are action comedies dealing with a school girl who falls in love with a rebelish demon guy who was once in love with someone they were connected too such as in Blue Seed a her unknown sister or as in InuYasha her previous life character. I believe if you enjoy one you should enjoy the other.

Its a High School Girl & a weird strange boy. Kaname Chirdori, the main heroine of Full Metal Panic shares many characteristics of Kagome. Sousuke Sagara, the main hero, is more like Sesshomaru without the pride. With the perverted Kurz Weber and battle-ready Melissa Mao to round out the major group, it leads to funny high school slapstick and awesome Mecha action. And with Teresa (mistranslated as Teletha) "Tessa" Testarossa to complete the romantic triangle comedy.
There are many similarities between Shounen Onmyouji, and Inuyasha. Masahiro is half spirit fox, and half mortal. Inuyasha is half dog demon, and half human. Masahiro's partner Mokkun is very much like Shipo. Then their is Princess Fujiwara no Akiko, who is very much like Kagome. Akiko can see demons and is attacked by them often. Kagome is the recarnation of a priestess who can defeat demons with holy arrows. The main reason for the same similarities is that both animes deal with hunting demons, becoming stronger, and protecting the spirit world and the real world.
they're not that similar accept for the fact that there are not quite normal people fighting demons and saving normal people. Oh, and there are ewven stronger people out to get the protagonists by useing the demons, if you know what i mean. and if you don't to bad for you.
InuYasha is about Kagome Higurashi, who falls down a well and is transported back in time to feudal era Japan, where she has to work with InuYasha, a half-demon, to restore the shattered Shikon Jewel before it falls into the wrong hands. Hatenkou Yuugi is the story of a girl called Rahzel, who is kicked out of her house by her father and told to go and see the world. She befriends others and discovers here place in the world along the way.

Hatenkou Yuugi is a lot like InuYasha, but in a more condensed form (10 episodes to Inu's 167). Both stories are about a girl traveling with friends, and have plenty of romance, action, and of course, comedy. If you liked HY, but want something more, InuYasha is the way to go. Likewise, for Inu fans, Hatenkou Yuugi is a taste of something similar, yet with a flavour all its own~ xD
Yu Yu Hakusho and InuYasha are both in depth fighting animes. The main protagonists, InuYasha and Yusuke, both develop into stronger, more powerful individuals along the course of their adventures. They both weild incredible powers, whether it be InuYasha's Wind Scar, or Yusuke's Spirit Gun, a lot of fun will be had watching either show.
They are both really similar. Both with Super Powers and Evil Villains that threats the world. But if you are not a Romance fan you wont like Inuyasha that much. But It still has a lot of Action though
Hated, neglected, and scarred. All the bad things and more happened to the main character as a young boy. years later, the boy finally gets friends. Can the boy change and let go of his past? Does the boy change enough, or too much?Pain is a part of life, just like happiness. Watch the main character fight though pain and happiness in their life full of super-natural things.
well they maybe different but they have some of the same aspects. Shattered jewel shards spread across a world, a being from another world, fighting monsters to collect the shards, etc.
Hanyū reminds me of the demons in Inu Yasha... the cute ones that is. If one happens to like the other kind of genera, then one might try the other on for size.
