They are made by the same manga-ka and the main characters are very alike and they are voiced by the same seiyuu
Same mangaka, similar graphics, same seiyuus. Wanna hear Yamaguchi Kappei again? Then you should watch this.
This is very similar animes, even same devloper,Inuyasha and Kikyo voice actors, here as Ranma and Akane, both have action-romance and comedy, even same personality ^_^
Same creator, same stuff... I just tend to love this type of stuff. XD
Both are by Rumiko Takahashi and the relationship between Kagome and InuYasha is very similar to the relationship between Ranma and Akane.
it's just like inuyasha but more like the love side. it doesn't really have any blood. and ranma 1/2 is just a little more silly =P
Another long series by the same creator Rumiko Takahashi that revolves around the term 'tsundere'.
Both from the same creator! They are both action and romance!
Same creator
both have lots of action and fighting
same romance-ish feel
some of the same voice actors XP
The characters, story and art are very similar. What else do you expect if it's made by the same creators? Though the genre is not exactly the same thing. They added action (Not matrial arts, but fighting most of the time monsters) and adventure to InuYasha, so Ranma 1/2 has more comedy. Ranma 1/2 is also older, they maked InuYasha after Ranma 1/2. So the art looks very similar, but InuYasha's art is better.
There are some characters with almost excatly the same personality..
Akane Tendo - Kagome Higurashi
Ranma Saotome - InuYasha
Ryoga Hibiki - Koga
Cologne - Kaede
and probably more.. InuYasha and Kagome's relationship is almost the same as Ranma's relationship with Akane.. It gives me the same feeling.
If you liked Ranma 1/2 I strongly recommend you to watch InuYasha.
If you you watched InuYasha you might think Ranma 1/2 sucks because its old. Thats what I thought before watching it, and now Im really glad Ive tryed this series.
Im sure you'll like it ^^

Both are long stories that are mostly about the main couple and their fight against a powerful foe. They both have their funny moments as well.
Both are similar because they involve a modern girl who gets transported to alternative feudal Chinese world. They also appear to have some of the same historical Chinese myths and legend occasionally. Both are fantasy anime but Fushigi Yuugi seems to involve more dramatic plot turns, deeper romance between the main characters, and occasionally serious subject to bring depth to the character and expose their psyche. Overall Fushigi Yuugi and Inu Yasha both have good characters and are both humorous and entertaining anime.
Both are Are "Magical Girl" (Mahō shōjo) Animes and Mangas, with the main character being transported into a "Fudal Era" alternate world. I prefer Fushigi Yuugi over InuYasha for the fact that all though it is a long running series, the series does come to a conclusion! In both the Manga and Ainime...
in both of them there are priestess that have a mission and role to complete and on their journey they both make friends with some more people.
I think they are both similiar in such a way and maybe in the plot, another thing is that the both priestess came to this world by a magic entrace and live in their own modern world.
I think Fushigi Yuugi contains much more romance and cuteness and I liked it so much, if you liked Inu Yasha and want something with a little more romance Fushigi Yuugi is the Anime for you :)
The girl goes back in time and falls in love with someone from there.
Its a must watch for girls!!! They both have adveture, romance and lots of action!!!
THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOO SIMILAR ITS CRIMINAL!!!!!
Magical item to past: Well(Inuyasha) Book(Fushigi Yuugi)
Inuyasha: Tama Home
Kagome: Myaka
Koga: Emperor
ITS got the whole "you are a priestess who will save us" thing and the whole forbiden love and 2 lovers for Inuyasha thing. The dub is better but thats for you to decide. There isnt very much bad language in this as there is in Inuyasha but they are sooooooo similar i think i will die! there arnt as many episodes in this but its still awesome!!!
The show is in feudal time Japan. It has many different genres like action, romance, fantasy and more! This is my favorite anime and Fushigi Yuugi remind me so much about it. (There's a monk in Inuyasha too; Except he doesn't say "You know" a lot but he rubs girls butts enough!) Please watch Inuyasha AND Fushigi Yuugi they're both REALLY good animes!

Bleach is so simular to Inuyasha it's scary. If you like one, you'll probably like the other.
Both are about an unsuspecting teen being dragged into a world of fantasy and adventure, while at fist glance they may appear about equal, Inuyasha is better written, so i recommend it more as an alternative than Bleach
Both are very much alike in their style and themes including the supernatural aspects
Both have lots of sword fights with samurai or ppl who look like sumurai and have to deal with demon slaying
Demon of some sort or another apear, though the concept behind each are very different. There are also a ton of sword play in there that works beatifully.

It's a love story and a comedy, but not a love comedy. In both anime, the main character is a former mass-murderer who has deadly potential which is deliberately restricted (Inuyasha's necklace and Kenshin's reverse-blade sword). And mind you, both Kenshin and Inuyasha wear red kimonos (although in Kenshin's case, it's often violet).
Both about a man that had a bad past and then after a few years they began to change although in Inuyasha the main mostly changed because of the meeting with the girl other then that the story is quite similar both revoled around the guy main character both has romance although not so much in Rurouni Kenshin
They are both about people (Kenshin and Inuyasha) battling with the past. Kenshin has do deal with his reputation of being the "man slayer". Inuyasha has to deal with Kikyo (dont know if I spelled that correctly). They also carry around weapons (Kenshin his reverse-blade sword. Inuyasha his giant sword [forgot the name]).
I know this doesnt make them sound similar, but trust me. They have the same feel and immensly reminds me of one another.
Rorouni Kenshin and Inuyasha are very similar. They both have to deal with not fitting in with most people around them because Inuyasha is seen by half youkai to humans and to demons he's seen as half human, and then kenshin used to be a man slayer so he has to deal with that and the guilt he feels for taking human lives. Inuyasha meets Kagome and he starts to transform into a better person (demon?) while also becoming friends with miroku and sango and everyone else. Kenshin also gets friends and settles down when he used to just be a wanderer doing good deeds. Both people are trying to change for the better.

Both have to deal with traveling back and forth between the real world and a fantasy world. Both have cute and funny romantic situations as well.
these two are similarly enjoyable to watch, they both have: love, magic, another world, fighting, humor etc
both stories were created by the same manga artist (Takahashi Rumiko)
Again the same creator and they are both action and romance
Both these anime have to do with fighting demons, plus the cute ears are defiantly a plus! They are also similar in the aspects of characters that are out of their elements...Kugen in the human world, Kagome in the demon world...
Both have almost the same theme and focus on battle against demons, and main characters that looks the same (Inuyasha = Tenko, Kagome = Noboru, etc.).
If you enjoyed the whole "time travelling" theme that InuYasha is based on, then you may also enjoy Rumiko Takahashi's Fire Tripper. Both set in the Civil War era of Japan, a girl in a school uniform who can jump through time & a great love story.
Time travel to feudal era.

A demon protecting a priestess against his will but later start to accept her.
Both Zenki in his sealed form and InuYasha have also the same voice actor.
I think Inu Yasha are much better because the character development in Zenki almost standing still in the beginning of the serie at least.
Similar history and main characters.
It about a girl who falls in to a wheel and meets a half-demon and strangers on the way. They need to find all jealshards before the enemy do. They ends up falling in love with each other. :)
Both feature adolescent males with a guilt-complex, who are dense, hot-blooded, and intensely protective of a more intelligent girl who feel obligated to share in responsibility of guarding the surrounding area of demonic invaders.
Though considering Inuyasha's popularity, Kekkaishi offers a better plot, less repetition, and a more varied cast of re-occuring characters.

One demonic boy, who of course lives long. His partner is a human girl who looks like another girl in the demonic boys past.
I think it is similar because it includes fighting Demons, trying to defeat one main bad dude, ect.
The usual high school student who finds a portal to a different world whilst finding a "foreign" love. The main female ends up befriending many people to help the love interest with his problems. A bunch of action/romance/drama here yet still very entertaining to watch.
A magical girl gets somehow transported to a magical world where there is action and adventure and a cute boy with a sword and wings. Great characters and a general "to busy fighting for a love story until the end" feeling.
Both of these follow strong-willed guys, who travel with a female companion(with hints of romance), while searching for feathers/shards.
It's similar because, in both of the series they are in search for shattered pieces.. Also the two main characters are in love!
A school girl that turns into a priestess and deals with jewels. Does that not sound similar? They both even went through a well.
They both involve demons and humans living in the same world and bumping heads. They also both involve a high school girl, (Akane vs Kagome) being taken against their will to another world that's way further back in time. The two girls are both taken by the same means too- down a well. The two animes are also drawn in similar ways with similar humor.
Both have modern and non-modern aspects to the story line. They also have demons of some form or another.
Both main characters are part demons and have big swords. Their swords have great powers. Though they have separate plots. Both main characters act tough and mean, but they actually help people. They are both filled with comedy, action, and fantasy.
Both deal with demons/spirits. Also, there are some yummy bishies in both of these shows. It's great~
Both characters of Magic Knight Rayearth (Hikaru Shiidou, Umi Ryuuzaki and Fuu Hououji) and Inu Yasha (Kagome) transported into another world to defeat the evils of the demon Naraku and Zagato.
the show kinda mach beacuse inuyasha and lelouch are looking to kill their greatest enimies
A kind-hearted girl meets out-of-the-ordinary boy and family, and helps them. Focuses on relationships and love story more than Inuyasha, but also shorter! And with better character development. (as will all anime, the manga is better, but only slightly different, I suggest to read Fruit Baskets manga starting about ch 31 where the anime leaves off).
With love triangles and love rivals this anime will teach guys to not underestimate a girl's will power!
InuYasha: Kanketsu-hen/ The Final Act (犬夜叉 完結編) is the continuation of InuYasha (犬夜叉).
they both are conceived as an a long adventure at the research of something with an epic love story
both take place in a different time era and both include people fighting and working in a group.
Becouse in Inuyasha and Spirited Away are lot of ghosts and
male main they're monsters. Girls main are children.
The romance is somewhat simalar
And they are both good but D.n angel is shorter but a wonderful 26 episodes
One is the special, one is the series. Obviously you should see both... that is, if you can get your hands on Kuroi Tessaiga, because this one seems to be almost non-existent on the internet.
Same creator! Both romance!
Magic ,people traveling on an adventure, Inuyasha and Orphen are alike you can tell if you watch both anime
A demon is bound...released...and after some clearing up of drama becomes a great friend and ally.
I'm not sure why, but I think you would like this one if you liked InuYasha ^^
InuYasha is very similar to Blue seed. The story uses a lot of the story plots from Blue Seed. Both are action comedies dealing with a school girl who falls in love with a rebelish demon guy who was once in love with someone they were connected too such as in Blue Seed a her unknown sister or as in InuYasha her previous life character. I believe if you enjoy one you should enjoy the other.

Its a High School Girl & a weird strange boy. Kaname Chirdori, the main heroine of Full Metal Panic shares many characteristics of Kagome. Sousuke Sagara, the main hero, is more like Sesshomaru without the pride. With the perverted Kurz Weber and battle-ready Melissa Mao to round out the major group, it leads to funny high school slapstick and awesome Mecha action. And with Teresa (mistranslated as Teletha) "Tessa" Testarossa to complete the romantic triangle comedy.

There are many similarities between Shounen Onmyouji, and Inuyasha. Masahiro is half spirit fox, and half mortal. Inuyasha is half dog demon, and half human. Masahiro's partner Mokkun is very much like Shipo. Then their is Princess Fujiwara no Akiko, who is very much like Kagome. Akiko can see demons and is attacked by them often. Kagome is the recarnation of a priestess who can defeat demons with holy arrows. The main reason for the same similarities is that both animes deal with hunting demons, becoming stronger, and protecting the spirit world and the real world.
they're not that similar accept for the fact that there are not quite normal people fighting demons and saving normal people. Oh, and there are ewven stronger people out to get the protagonists by useing the demons, if you know what i mean. and if you don't to bad for you.

InuYasha is about Kagome Higurashi, who falls down a well and is transported back in time to feudal era Japan, where she has to work with InuYasha, a half-demon, to restore the shattered Shikon Jewel before it falls into the wrong hands. Hatenkou Yuugi is the story of a girl called Rahzel, who is kicked out of her house by her father and told to go and see the world. She befriends others and discovers here place in the world along the way.
Hatenkou Yuugi is a lot like InuYasha, but in a more condensed form (10 episodes to Inu's 167). Both stories are about a girl traveling with friends, and have plenty of romance, action, and of course, comedy. If you liked HY, but want something more, InuYasha is the way to go. Likewise, for Inu fans, Hatenkou Yuugi is a taste of something similar, yet with a flavour all its own~ xD

Yu Yu Hakusho and InuYasha are both in depth fighting animes. The main protagonists, InuYasha and Yusuke, both develop into stronger, more powerful individuals along the course of their adventures. They both weild incredible powers, whether it be InuYasha's Wind Scar, or Yusuke's Spirit Gun, a lot of fun will be had watching either show.
They are both really similar. Both with Super Powers and Evil Villains that threats the world. But if you are not a Romance fan you wont like Inuyasha that much. But It still has a lot of Action though

Hated, neglected, and scarred. All the bad things and more happened to the main character as a young boy. years later, the boy finally gets friends. Can the boy change and let go of his past? Does the boy change enough, or too much?Pain is a part of life, just like happiness. Watch the main character fight though pain and happiness in their life full of super-natural things.
well they maybe different but they have some of the same aspects. Shattered jewel shards spread across a world, a being from another world, fighting monsters to collect the shards, etc.
Hanyū reminds me of the demons in Inu Yasha... the cute ones that is. If one happens to like the other kind of genera, then one might try the other on for size.
