"To invade, or not to invade?"
If you are a fan of, or at least like original series, then you'll definitely LOVE this movie. I found it very surprising that a comedy series such as Keroro Gunsou, managed to get such a brilliant movie. It has everything a one hour movie can offer.
~Story~ (9)
Not having that much of an unseen plot, this movie couldn't get a perfect ten - yet there is something so bubbly and refreshing about it, be it the fact there are aliens that are, weird enough, cooperating with humans, or unusual mix of fantasy, sci-fi and slice of life genre, the story drags you in easily. It proceeds fast and simple, and just in the moment you start wondering about the specific things, they get explained. In short, the simple material was turned into a hilarious adventure.
~Art~ (10)
What does the ten actually mean? It means the art is clear and clean, colorful and simple, yet the animations is perfectly satisfactory. Not only that, but here and there are thrown 3D effect that are fitting on just right. No complaints at all, and I see no reason to give this anime lower than 10. It's swift, it's clean, and even funny.
~Sound~ (10)
Absolutely perfect. The music of the anime is the section I usually pay most attention to. If it happens you forgot the music of a specific anime, it's usually because it was lame. But this anime has just the right stuff in just the right moments. Be it a war trombone, or a simple piano tune, it will satisfy your musical needs.
The original cast remained for the movie, so there are no complaints there.
~Character~ (9)
As usual for the original series, packed with tons of laughter and jokes. Other than that, it's nice to see the characters showing the other side of themselves, or doing things they would never think of doing - not much has been added, but they remained just as we remember them from the TV show - awesome.
~Enjoyment~ (10)
What I liked about this movie is, while it is generally focusing on comedy and sci-fi elements, there is drama, there is a crush, there is a friendship, and boy, there is a battle - and this movie managed to fit all of these elements into one hour perfectly. Kudos for variety!
~Overall~ (10)
Keroro Gunsou (TV) became one of my favorites with the first episode, and it has always, and most likely always will fail to disappoint me. To be honest I didn't expect much from a movie, but it was AWESOME.
SO, if you do watch the original series, this is a must watch.
On the other hand, if you didn't go and watch it. At least for the sake of seeing this movie as well. read more
