Synopsis

Magic is what makes the fictional world of Earth-land go 'round, and its many mage guilds work together—or sometimes against one another—to bring balance to that world. Each guild flaunts unique features in hopes of being the best guild on the planet.

Lucy Heartfilia, a 17-year-old girl, is desperately searching for the perfect guild. After running from her father, she wanders the city in search of Gold Keys, for they unlock the Celestial Spirits that are so vital for her magic. With so many wizards around, it's a journey that's very challenging and dangerous to go alone. Yet a fateful encounter with Natsu Dragneel (a wizard who largely resembles a dragon) leads her to a guild known as Fairy Tail, which soon becomes her new home.

Her happiness amongst new-found friends is overshadowed by the evil powers of malicious guilds and the mysterious dark wizard Zeref. Their lives are about to take an unexpected turn as they battle evil, fight for their guild, and uncover fragments of their past. It will shake the foundations of who they are as people, and help explain why Earth-land has fallen into this state to begin with.

This is the first time I actually write a review, so please forgive me if I write it in a bad way. Also, this is purely based on my opinion.

Despite reading the manga, I dropped this (for now, maybe I'll continue once it's finished airing) because so many things were wrong with this it wasn't funny anymore.

Story:
Pretty much not existing at all. The characters lose sight of their goals and every 10th / 20th episode (This includes the "old" Fairy Tail as well) they suddenly remember it. "Oh, right, we were looking for our dragon parents who vanished."
The "story" is made out of single arcs read more

Note: I wrote this review in the time of the filler arc.
==Mild Spoilers==

Fairy Tail (2014) is the direct sequel of Fairy Tail which continued the Grand Magic Games Arc.
Not only that many changes were made. Character designs are different but the biggest change happened is the change of studio which formerly was Satelight to Bridge (creators of Nobunagun and Devil Survivor 2)

The thing is the sequel did not solve any problems the Fairy Tail has. It only got worse. Its still has bad story, bad characters, and bad writing and this was added by the horrible animation. Bridge is very inconsistent in animating. The first read more

After finishing the original Fairy Tail series, I wanted to see the heart-racing action/shounen anime in full glory once again, however, this piece of garbage did not live up to those expectations.

Upon the conclusion of the anime, I went on to read the manga and am currently up to date with the latest chapter. Then I watched the opening of the new Fairy Tail 2014. I had realised something, the WHOLE fucking plot was spoiled in the opening. The fact that you get to see which characters battle one another and the fact that there is a dark silhouette in the shape of a dragon read more

This is a 100% spoiler free review of Fairy Tail (2014) the sequel to Fairy Tail - An anime that I thoroughly enjoyed watching for 175 episodes and consider as one of my favorite anime.

I know what you are probably thinking,"there's already dozens of low rated reviews for this anime, despite it having such a high MAL rating; how is this not just another troll review by a typical fairy tail hater." So I would like to clarify that this is a 100% serious review with no hate specifically towards Fairy Tail or the shounen genre.

So if you have not seen either Fairy read more
