Synopsis

Perceived as strange and feared by man, over time the misshapen ones came to be known as Mushi. Although they harbor no ill intentions towards humans, many suffer from the side effects of their existence and strange nature; exploiting the Mushi without understanding them, even unintentionally, can lead to disaster and strife for any involved. Mushishi Zoku Shou continues the story of Mushishi Ginko on his journey to help the visible world to coexist with the Mushi.

During his travels, Ginko discovers various gifted individuals—those cursed by circumstance and those maintaining a fragile symbiosis with the Mushi—inevitably confronting the question of whether humanity, talented and tortured alike, can manage the responsibility of the unseen. Moreover, as a Mushishi, Ginko must learn more about these strange beings and decide if he has the right to interfere with the complex relationships between Mushi and mankind.

The continuation of Ginko's journey. Another masterpiece of Mushishi series.

Still with the story telling and episodic style, this second season (part 1) of Mushishi is continuing Ginko's journey through Japan-like Island(s) to find and solve any Mushi phenomenon. Mushi, a basic form of life that exists without many people realizing it, but they can definitely feel their existences. Blessed (or cursed?) with the ability to see and understand Mushi, Ginko--a Mushishi--helped people he met during his journey with the Mushi that causing problems to clueless people around.

Compared to the first season, this second season felt more raw and slightly darker. Many people Ginko met choose ...

Usually I don't enjoy anime series with no plot, but this anime is one of a kind. Each episode has its own story; it could be tragic, bittersweet, or happy. You never know what could happen in the end.

In the series, you follow this man named Ginko on his adventure as a "mushishi." Despite him being a protagonist, however, he illustrates the quality of a side character. Instead, the patient and their relationship with the monster causing their symptom is usually the main focus. This type of storytelling is quite rare, but the anime was able to pull it off and create a beautiful ...

Mixed Feelings
Mushishi Zoku Shou

Is the first part of the second season, which was divided into 2x 10 episodes each. Relatively little has changed in terms of content. As before, you follow the various missions of Ginko, in which he is confronted from time to time with new Mushi problems.

And here again the following: The episodes are still not attached. If it weren't for the subdivisions of the seasons, you wouldn't even know that a new season had begun. And so it goes with the stories, only with one difference. The first season had better narratives than this one. Here, half of the stories had ...
