SynopsisNaruto, Kakashi, Sakura, and Lee are sent to protect a prince during his trip around the world and see that he returns safely to his home in the Moon Country. The Moon Country happens to be really rich and as such the Prince tends to buy anything his heart desires, during his travels the Prince would come across a circus group that features a rare Sabre-toothed tiger that he just had to have. So he purchased the entire group. Suddenly a mission to protect just the spoiled prince that hardly listened to anything said, turns in to a mission to look after aimals and a prince that doesn`t listen to what they say, and in the end somehow get them all back safely to their home country. All the while there are three mysterious Ninja wielding some frightening jutsu waiting for them. Why are they attacking them? What do they want with Team Kakashi!?! (Source: NarutoFan) |

Story:3
Well i don't expect much of a deep and compelling storyline or unexpected plot twists before watching a Naruto movie, but that's not what Naruto is about.The story itself was the worst out of the 3 Naruto movies.This was actually a real pain to watch this story "develop".The first 40minutes of the movie were like a REALLY long intro into the pathetic 5minute fight.The story started developing from the 2nd half of the movie. If you can call that development.The ending and the upcoming "plot twists"could be seen from the moment the fat prince confronted Shabadaba.
Well to tell the truth the story was below yu-gi-oh! story telling standards.That's really as low as you go.
Animation:8
Well Naruto is Naruto, nothing out of the ordinary here. The quality was pretty high, although i disliked the art style itself a bit. It seemed somehow different from the tv series and the previous movies.The CGI wasn't out of place nor overused.Nothing to brag about, but nothing to complain about either.
Sound:7
Sound was meh...Generally Naruto tends to shine at the sound and animation department. Well i can't say i hated it, i just didn't notice the sound at all.It's not the way it should be.It should intensify and dramatize the atmosphere, like during the original series.Though several musical scores were taken from the TV series, that's why it manages to score 7.
Character:3
Characters while trying to take themselves seriously, were more of a comedic relief than anything else.What this movie really lacked was the development of team Kakashi. Naruto being his usual dumb self, Sakura and Lee had as many lines as that Siberian tiger, which somehow managed to be incrustated into this mess of a story.Also i would like to mention after long and tedious work me and my friend managed to count that the word "papa" was used 43 times during the run time of 1 hour and 29 minutes of this movie. Which means you will hear the word "papa" accompanied by "dramatic" crying every 2 minutes and 10 seconds.
The "villains" were the laughing stock of the movie, their designs, voices ( and what's with the wannabe Jiraya wigs? : O), no back story, no motives, no nothing.
Enjoyment:4
Naruto is all about enjoyment, and this movie had none. This was really painful to sit out till the end. I just kept begging it to end.The 3 things that make Naruto enjoyable are the fights, the comedic relief and character development. The fights were the worst of the 3 Naruto movies.But what's really weird it lacked comedic relief, i missed inner Sakura and her aggressive behavior towards Naruto :(, also Lee's catch phrases like the "spring of youth" and his freaky "hard-working" attitude.And i won't even try to get into details about character development because there was none.

I am giving it a 5 and i consider this does justice to this Movie.It's lack of redeeming qualities even for a Naruto movie is really unbelievable. If you have some free time, and are bored as hell, just go and watch the first 2 movies or the shippuuden movies. Really you have been warned, watch this at your own risk.

I Hate This Movie!!!
I'm trying not to sound mean, but I did. This movie (along with the other movies) ruined some of my thoughts of naruto!!

Both are probably the worst movies of either franchise, hands down. If you like one of them, you're somewhat likely to enjoy the other. Neither of these display their respective franchise's correctly and focus all too much on moralistic actions by the main characters geared toward seemingly unimportant characters whom have absolutely no bearing on anything that would quickly resemble the main story which is arguably what shounen-driven franchises are all about. Not enough action and the same self-sacrificing "I put my life on the line for you" kind of thinking you've probably seen countless times in either show that shouldn't have been brought up again and used as the main basis for either movie with such irrelavance that entices feelings that will leave you hating the entire concept. If that's your thing, you should check it out.
