SynopsisCreamy Mami is about a young girl, Yuu, who after seeing a spaceship is given the power to use magic for one year. She is also given 2 cats, Poji and Nega, to watch over and guide her. Using her magic powers to transform into the idol Creamy Mami, Yuu must work hard at acting, singing, helping her parents at their crepe shop, fighting aliens and bad guys, going to school, plus try to get the affections of her childhood friend Toshio.

Fancy Lala and Creamy Mami are both Studio Pierrot Magical Girl series about young girls who are given the power to transform into an older girl and become idol singers. Lala is sort of like an updated version of Mami
Both mahou shoujo anime where the protagonist is a little girl who can transform into a pretty, popular singer/idol. The girl also has two magical creatures that follow her everywhere.
In both Creamy & Fancy Lala the idol has a female rival who hates and envy her.
Last but not least, for both anime the original illustrations and character designs are by Akemi Takada.
