Yu-Gi-Oh! (1999)

This is the first, only and last movie of the original YuGiOh that only aired in Japan.
The story is nothing we’ve never seen before:
There’s a kid Aoyama Shougo who sucks at duel monsters. One day he buys a pack and inside is the rare Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
Kaiba, who has cameras all over the city…, sends his goon to steal the Red Eyes and Yugi’s puzzle to lore him into a tournament hosted by Kaiba.
He ends up retrieving the Red Eyes for his friend and Joey secretly sneaks it into Yugi’s deck. Yugi goes off to face Kaiba. Kaiba summons his 3 Blue Eyes. Yugi fuses Red Eyes with Meteor dragon and wins the duel.

This movie is neither good nor bad, since we’ve seen this plot many times in YuGiOh. I enjoyed it mostly because I’m a YuGiOh fan.
And I’ve seen all the episodes of the original Yugioh and it’s quite good. The original stays true to its name YUGIOH= King of Games, Game King. It’s not only about duel monsters but about games.
