Similarities: Both involves the same situation where mankind is under threat from alien invasion. Both involves secret organization whom were tasked to take them aliens out. Both have the same individuals with special abilities to fight off aliens. Dissimilarities: The aliens involve in one anime attack by using massive numbers, while the aliens in the other anime attack by snatching bodies from humans. One anime has a lolicon element, while the other anime had a romance element.

The same situation where people with extra ordinary abilities whose weaponry also came from alien tech, where they use it to battle beings or creatures from another world.

These two anime are based on the Sengoku Era and deal with Oda Nobunaga—but with a twist. Famous historical figures appear in both anime series. Nobunaga the Fool features Jeanne De Arc, DaVinci, Magellan, King Arthur, and many more to come. Nobunagun though has Ghandi, Newton, and many more to come too. Both series are airing this year (Winter 2014).

The most striking similarity between Nobunagun is the fact the characters use names of historical characters to identify their abilities. This however is not the only similarity these two series have. Both use a dark color scheme highlighted by bright colors and the plot line is dark. The characters in both series are eccentric in their own ways and the plots have a non-stop progression through the entire series and they both have a fast plot progression. There is also a bit of “willing suspense of disbelief” for both series as well.

*Humanity is attacked by Intelligent Non sentient beasts with a specific weakness to a certain kind of Biotech weapon. *There is an organization that collects people who are the only ones capable of using said bioweapons. * It is largely about the members' struggles against the various beasts that come to invade. *Characters include the Respected Veteran, Sniper, Machine gunner(Protagonist in nobunagun, deuteragonist in God Eater), Spotter/Scout, The "Bad Boy" Veteran.

The main heroine is “dumb”. Well, dumb isn't the best way to describe them... it's more along the lines of a nativity on the part of the characters. They go about life not putting much thought into things beyond the fact they want to be friends with the people that they meet. They're hot headed and get into the middle of things without realizing it, a trait normally associated with male characters from shonen series, not female characters. In addition to this there is the mecha gear that both girls end up having as well as the other characters with in the series. They pretty much  read more

Similairites: + Over-the-top action with gradually upgrading weapons + The main protagonists are similar (though the protagonist of Nobunagun is kind of like a combination of Ryuko and Mako from KLK) + Strong friendship aspect Differences: - The settings are very different (KLK is an intense school setting, and Nobunagun involves an organization fighting on a global scale) - KLK has much more fanservice, but also better characters

Similar in a way but not the same they both bring back historic people to use in battle

Similarities: •Characters from the anime gain their powers from their ancestors. •Both anime are filled with action. Differences: •Despite sharing the idea of manifesting their ancestors strength, Ikkitousen mainly focuses on characters from the book, "Romance of the Three Kingdom" (China) while for Nobunagun, their powers were gained from people throughout history (Britain, India, etc.). •The Ikkitousen series is a lot longer than Nobunagun (Ikkitousen has about 50 episodes - 4 seasons while Nobunagun only has 13). •Ikkitousen has a lot of fan service while Nobunagun doesn't.

These shows both contain modern day characters who link with certain historical figures or time periods and then weaponize them. They are both similarly cavalier about the accuracy of the history in question. They are both super stupid, but in kind of a fun way.

In both shows, creatures from another place invade Earth and it takes a team to defeat them. However, Nobunagun has the characters be reincarnations of historical figures, where Vividred Operation has the girls adopt a magical girl like persona to defeat them.

Powerful spirit from the past (Ddraig in DXD and Oda Nobunaga in Nobunagun) Awakens after an accident, Both animes have a epic fight scenes and a diverse cast of characters. besides the fact the that the protagonist of nobunagun is a female, and that nobunagun is more strategy oriented combat. both animes will appeal to fans of either one of them

Both anime series are about kaiju (monsters) emerging from the ocean then trying to invade the surface and wage war on humanity. All of mankind must work together in order to out-fight and out-smart the kaiju enemy that's constantly evolving into deadlier and deadlier variations of it's kind. Godzilla S.P. is more of a mecha/sci-fi anime with a great original story taken from classic Godzilla concepts. While Nobunagun is a really cool super power/sci-fi anime that reinvents the alien invasion sub-genre with it's gritty contrasting manga like art style, it's gunfighting, militaria otaku knowledge and historical concept. I would definitely recommend watching both. Thanks for reading, -Tooru25.

Ogura shio is very similar like Hotori. Both of them is dumb, easygoing and otakuish. Soremachi is slice of life anime but sometime mysteries become sci-fi.

Both anime take place in a world invaded by aliens and characters have superpowers. They're filled with action and as well as tear-jerking moments (Well, I basically cried while watching Nobunagun is only because Ogura Shio was too badass XD)

The main characters (Mato and Shio) have a similar personality The main characters have a other and really badass personality (Nobunagun and Black Rock Shooter) This other personalities fight using high caliber weapons

Both Shows take on the premise of action girl, both are somewhat over the top and both involve special people fighting monsters, However Blood+ Is noticably darker and much more gorey while nobunagun focuses more on the action aspect. PS: Both main characters can go from normal schoolgirl to full-on battle-addicted psychopath in the matter of seconds

Having an heavy ballistic artillary does a lot of damage.. Especially without lending them a hand They are based on a historical character with a great leader.. Among the rest Neither has a cynical persona...

Similarity in which a group of human is bestowed powers from a outer space being, and they use these power to protect the humans from things which do not originate from earth. They both start off with the battle between the group and the unknown monsters, then the main heroine is bestowed the power and join the group to help. However, in Nobunagun their power is based on historic figures such as Nobunaga and jack the ripper, while i believe in gatchaman their power is based on their personality/interest. Also, the monsters in nobunagun is taking over the world and destroying cities while in gatchaman the  read more

Spirits of old (warships for Kancolle, historical figures for Nobunagun) are reincarnated as people in the modern world as the only means of defense to fight against aliens that come from the ocean

In both: - group of chosen people need to fight with space-invaders - the defense was organised by strange creature (but in Gantz he organized the trening of group, in Nobunagun he create the Organization) - scenes of the death Both are: good mix of serious themes and trash-horror action. Gantz is more dark, but Nobunagun have more interesting MC's personality

Same basic plot in both:people with special powers get to fight against a invasion of -alien looking- giant bug creatures.

Soul Eater and Nobunagun both have a female protagonist that happens to fight with what could be called human weapons. Both series have characters that are eccentric in nature. The dynamics between the main female protagonist and the main male protagonist is very similar. The styles for each series are each their own style, a mix between old school style and a more modern style that doesn't fit the norm by using simple shapes and lines over complex lines. The color schemes for both Anime are the same as is the over all mood, not to mention there is an element of the crack fic  read more

In Shaman King, the characters also fight with weapons infused with spirits.

Same kind of premise of "secret organization using special weapons to eradicate dangerous, other-wordly life forms". Follows a lot of the same kinda cliches and formulas that Eva does.

The main character of Nobunagun is like a female version of the main male character of the other series. Both characters are seen at first as talentless compared to the eccentric masters, but they end up learning over the progression of the plot so that they can protect what they care for. Their fighting styles are also “different” and they aren't the norm, so people don't expect them to do the amazing things they do. The plot is also action packed.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
The main females are extremely similar and have similar fighting styles. They're both very tomboyish, "monsters" at their game and loved by everyone.

Similar character designs, fast paced action atmosphere, lots of strategical battles and fights.

tomoe and adam are total baddies. Kicking butts and taking names. nobunagun is more action pack and scifi with E holders while kamisama kiss is more a shoujo romance type. Both Tomoe and Adam have the same attitude with Nanami and Shio. Dont care really. i loved them both and want second seasons for both. Both endings are eerily similar.
