Both are another Set of cute Magical Girl animes,Yes! Pretty Cure 5 is the 4th season and recent newest season to the Pretty Cure Franchise, however, unlike the first 3 seasons,Pretty Cure,Pretty Cure Max Heart and Pretty Cure Splash Star, which the previouse seasons had two lead Females,Nagisa(Cure Black) and Honoka(Cure white), Yes! Pretty Cure 5 returned to the more familiar Sailor moon style(5 team members) Format, and is more similar to Tokyo mew mew than the previouse seaosns, for example,Nozomi(Cure Dream) the lead female in Yes! Pretty Cure 5 is very similar to Ichigo in Tokyo mew mew

Both have super hot guys that turn into fluffy animals!!!! Also, Nozomi and Tohru are similar characters but Nozomi is a bit more hyper, but she is younger than Tohru. The storylines are not that similar, so if you are a fruits basket fan and you like magical girls, try Yes! Precure 5. If you are a fan of Yes! you should watch fruits basket even though it is not magical girl, it is still fantasy.

Despite one being battle shounen and the other one mahou shoujo, the style, the visuals and the fights feel quite similar.

Team of magical girls, each with own unusual hair color to differentiate. They transform using magical tool that is actually just a product placement toy, as the main demographic of this series is young girls. Very straight played mahou shoujo tropes.

Despite the obvious genre, about magical girls, coloful transformations and strong friendship. I found both main -pink- character pretty similar (personalities, colors and role), but another characters are so quite similar too, like girls has the same cliche and maybe relatable personalities (smart one, sporty one, ojousama one and "idolish" one). Shop theme are similar too. Precure girls are a little bit more older than doremi girls, but them all have almost the same age, problems and topics are similar because of that. Ojamajo doremi franchise was a precursor of Precure series, a "toy-seller" anime, so both has too much similarities and both are sooo enjoyable  read more

Same monster of the week formula with five main heroines. Both shows also focus on friendships between these heroines.

Not Yes!5 only, but the entire Precure franchise. Very similar atmosphere, both are shows for little girls and nerdy otakus, both have mascots or pets who're gorgeous and adorable! There's also some romance, especially in Jewelpet. And both shows are somehow underrated, although Precure has recently gained some popularity.

It is similar to Sailor Moon in many way they transform and fight monsters that are made by other monster pretty much the same so if you like Sailor Moon you would like this show
