Love Hina Spring Special

It's Love Hina. It's a spring special.There's a tropical island which makes for plenty of opertunities to "show" of the cast if you know what I mean. There's your usual Love Hina hijinks. There's mecha-tamas (and even a giant one) And Naru still can't make up her mind. Sounds like standard fare for Love Hina.
But lets dig alittle bit deeper into it!

Story!
It's exam time and Keitaro still wants to get into Tokyo U. Unfortunatly, he falls asleep in the exam and doesn't get much time to finish it. Filled with shame he decided to run away, and ends up in a tropical island where most of this special takes place. The girls of Love Hina wants to get him back. On the island they meet Nyamo, who is suspiciusly similar to Shinobu and is looking for her grandfather. So Naru and Keitaro tries to help with her quest.
I don't expect a tale of Shakesperian quality when it comes to Love Hina, but it didn't really dissapoint either. Shinobu also gets some of the spotlight which I liked. There's also some good over-the-top scenes involving mecha-tamas. Score: 6.

Art and Animation!
Well. There isn't really much new here. It pretty much looks like any other entry in the Love Hina series. Not that it's a bad thing though. It looks allright.
And since it takes place on a tropical island, there's ofcourse some fanservice.
Score:6.

Sound!
Well. Things sounds like you would expect. The voices are allright. And there's even a cute little musical number where the Hina girls sing in the episode which surprised me.
There isn't much more to say about that. Score:7.

Overall!
The best way to sum it all up. It's Love Hina. And If you can't get enough of the series for some reason. Then go check it out. I thought it was a fair addition to the series. Don't expect anything mindblowing or groundbreaking though. Overall score:6. read more
