Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou: Tou

Both Anime contain a group of kids with special powers trying to prevent the world from going to pot. Lots of angst, one is darker then the other. 

TMGK and Red Garden are both series about a happy go lucky group of high schoolers who find themselves in an unusual situation and become unlikely friends (teammates?). They both have creepy settings and both episodic and series long stories. Although I wasn't a fan of Red Garden, I think others who enjoyed TMGK may enjoy the dead girls of Red Garden as well! 

Both have great animation, good soundtrack (although Ga-Rei Zero's sounds more techno-ish, and Tokyo Majin's leans more toward Rob Zombie-esque metal) and overall same mystic vibe. 

Both have astounishing, stylish, well choregraphied fights. And to support that fact, Samurai Champloo's animation director Jun Nakai has worked on Tokyo Majin as chief animation director. 

In both animes there is a group of school students with special powers who have to fight monsters to protect the world from destruction. Both animes also has similar atmosphere - rather dark and sad. They both also have similar tempo - they are not dynamic, with unexpected leaps of timeline but once you get into them, they are quite gripping. 

What these animes have in common are: a group of people with amazing talents coming together for the sake of there homeland and people being controled by mistike forced and turened to mindless zombies. 

The main thing I find similar between these two is the tone, and color palette. The two shows share a similar atmosphere and style of music. Combine this with a strong emphasis on action and comedy I suspect liking one will correlate well with liking the other. Tokyo Majin however leans more to horror and an ensemble cast, in contrast to Hitori no Shita which focus more on a single protagonist and his progression. Other commonalities involve mystery around the main characters (possibly a birth secret?); exploration of similar themes using similar devices.  

Both supernatural anime have similar stories and focus on teenage boys that are destined to fight the Apocalypse. While reserved Kamui Shirou (X) knows of his predetermined fate, sensitive Tatsuma Hiyuu (Tokyo Majin) is unaware, but both of them decide to fight in order to protect their friends - who are also involved in the epic battle to come. Kamui must choose a side and stand with either the Seven Seals or Seven Angels, while Tatsuma's Star of Fate brings him together with others who are destined to side with the Golden Dragon. In Tokyo Majin there is a scene where the Dragons of Heaven and Earth are mentioned as well. They also share comparable dark atmospheres and concepts (death), sleek artwork, and urban fantasy action scenes. read more 

It has a similar feel. I would say Tokyo Majin is a little bit darker, because zombies, but they are both darkish action series about a group of teens fighting a supernatural element. Tokyo Majin is super underrated imo.  

They basically the same bunch of school kids fighting super natural creators and people with abilities but i would Tokyo Majin is more hardcore the deaths have more weight. You feel like the kids are in danger with Majin.  

KnB may not fight monsters or demons, but they do have the friendship that I saw here. Tatsuma Hiyuu and Kyouichi Horaiji have the same 'relationship' as Tetsuya Kuroko and Taiga Kagami. Kuroko and Hiyuu act a lot like each other but still, they carry a deep secret. 

They both suround high school students with powers and a story about fudel japan coming back to destroy japan now. 

An event occurs in both animes that causes horror and chaos. Within this horror there is blood and gore, where the main characters must fight demons. Though the plots are different, there are a lot of similarities between the settings and characters. 

In both animes there are shool students fighting monsters while risking their lives. Both animes have a unique, quite serious feeling in them and a rather dark atmosphere. 

TMGK is about a group of kids who fight to protect the city. DTB is about a group that fight to gain the truth. Althought there's no real main character in TMGK, Hei is the lovely lead role in Darker Than Black. Both anime have magic, or people magical/mystical/spiritual powers and action, fighting scenes. Personally I love both of them, so watch 'em 

Both have that monstrocity element to it, such as people infected and turning into beasts. The animation is stunning, and the characters are believable. Very highly reccomeneded. This is one of my favorite animes. 

A spooky atmosphere, buddhist culture, zombies, action. Worth checking out if you liked the other. 

lots,and lots of awsome action with good animation, there are quite a few really funny jokes here and there, and the character designs r pretty origional, each character has a simple mordern teen look that suits there personalities, and the anime moves at a really fast paste most of the time  

High school kids fighting the undead and demons. If you want blood and gore, these animes will fill your appetite. There is also some similiarities between characters based upon personalities and the formation of the groups in each anime. Though High school of the dead has quite a bit of ecchi and fan service where non is found in Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho.
