Imouto Jiru

Imouto Jiru is a short loli-hentai OVA that attempts to satisfy the lacking market in terms of actual loli animation. Where series such as Ichigo Mashimaro and Kodomo no Jikan cut the fanbase short, Imouto Jiru tries to fulfill. The series, however, does fail to deliver in terms of any form of story, character development, and artwork even for a hentai series.

The artwork for Imouto Jiru is more than well-dated in it's appearance. However, even after considering the age of the animation, the overall appearance is more than disappointing. Character expressions are few and far between in addition to lacking any real appeal. The backgrounds are traditionally lifeless and the use of a "dream haze" type of screen serves onto to hamper the visual appeal of the characters during scenes of erotic engagement.

The music for the series is more annoying than anything. With typical porn-oriented brass accompanied by an over-zealous drum beat, it only leaves the viewer there to laugh at the series if anything. The character voices are exactly what you would expect. The male is typical and uninspired, while the little sisters have the expected squeaky voices found even in traditional anime.

The characters themselves may have had some sense of development had the series lasted for more than two episodes. However, the compression of everything into such a short span leaves much to be desired. The mother is hardly developed aside from two scenes, a best friend character makes a sudden appearance, and the sisters themselves are left to simply appear and vanish at random. Only one of the sisters is given a chance to truly develop character-wise, but even her screentime was hardly for anything more than the ero-scenes.

All things considered, Imouto Jiru attempted to take a jab at a somewhat shunned genre and failed fairly hard. It lacks any form of development, has dated artwork with hindering effects, and fails to even develop any sort of relationship with the characters. Perhaps had the series been longer and provided more time for some form of character development, then it may have faired a bit better. The fact that this studio would attempt to satisfy the directed fanbase with this random collaboration of half-pieced ideas, could be seen as more offensive than anything. read more

To me, the story is completely made for the "Lolita-complex" fans. The art says it all, rather than having detailed, more mature character sketches, they went straight for the big eyed cuties. With eyes starring compassionately at you while you watch this hentai anime, you'll surely fall into a spell of enchantment. I'm not entirely sure, but they also added a bit more breast size to the little sisters just to show some modesty, but I say; what's the point? If your already halfway, why not go all the way? Shrink those breasts. And for those who are so fed up with the story line, I doubt they'll have anything good to say about it. Personally, I thought the story was good, nice and simple. All in all, it was cute and I enjoyed watching it at least more than three times.

Too bad though, the anime seemed to have a continuation to the series by showing a strange skit near the end, I think after the credits of the second episode. Alast, I haven't found the third episode, therefor, I have concluded that they just stopped it's production midway. Due to the sole reason; no one bought it. read more
