Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga (or the shorter English title "Recently, My Sister is Unusual") follows the story of a young girl and an older boy who become step-siblings due to their parents marrying each other. The setup is pretty standard, but the catch is that the younger stepsister gets possessed by a ghost who's in love with the older brother, is forced to make moves on the brother to send her new poltergeist companion to the next life, and ends up falling in love with him in the process. Mysterious missing parents and ecchi, incesty hijinks involving a chastity belt then read more

Story (8/10)
For an ecchi anime, the story is really interesting, simple, but I liked it a lot, and even for a comedy anime, they made you feel bad for Hiyori.

Art (9/10)
The art style was great, it was really nice, great animation, and it wasnt exaggerated, just like the fanservice.

Sound (3/10)
Pretty normal and stereotypical soundtrack

Characters (8/10)
Of course, some characters are really simple, but the ones like our protagonist and yuuya, avoid the cliche, in my opinion.
I love how the show wasnt so much about a love triangle, or a harem-like kind of anime, because the chars werent so cliche, the childhood friendship actually was in read more

Incest is a very interesting genre in the world of anime. For some reason, the japanese love the idea of forbidden love in their animations, attempting to twist the idea so they can still have said forbidden love so it abides by the law, kind of, with well-known titles like "Oreimo" and "Onii-chan Dakedo" taking the spot as the more well-known incest related animes. Today I will be talking about one of the more recent introductions to the incest genre, Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga, or, Recently, my little sister is unusual. Let's begin.

Story (6.45/10): The story of Saikin read more

Art style was great 90% of the time, although Mitsuki's face was a little off on the edges in some scenes.

Story was barely there, as it was an excuse to throw in some more ecchi, although it was the only reason for her actions.

Sounds only get a 5 from me, as her voice was sometimes that generic high pitch. Although her normal talking voice was not. That was good.

Hiyori was probably one of the characters they needed to explore most, but never did. Mitsuki and her brother are pretty generic, but hey! Still nice. They only got a 6 for that reason. Otherwise, most of read more

Anime: Kiss x Sis (TV)
Very eechi shows... involving brother sister romance. Fan service gold if that's what you're looking for.

Anime: Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai
Both are about a relationship between an older brother and a little sister. At first, in both, the sisters hate their brothers but after some (or maybe a lot) situations, they end up loving them.

Anime: Onii-chan dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne!
Both involve a sister in love with her brother and have the same yuri element. Both siblings aren't related to one another. The sister in one anime was madly in love with her brother, while the sister in the other anime despise her brother and in fact, it was a ghost that was possessing her body who loves her brother. The siblings in one anime were orphans and live independently, while the sibling in the other anime still have their parents.

Anime: Inu x Boku SS
mitsuki and Ririchiyo have similar face, the main character guy always care about the main character girl, both mitsuki and Ririchiyo doesn't really like to talk in the beginning

Anime: Onee-chan ga Kita
Both have a step-sister, but in Onee-chan ga Kita, the step-sister is clingy to the main protagonist, unlike in ImoCho, where she is kind of shy toward her step-brother.

Anime: Binbougami ga!
Both are about a supernatural being (a god of misfortune in "Binbougami ga!" and a ghost in ImoCho) causing mischief in the lives of the girls they "haunt."

Differences: Binbougami ga! is not ecchi (there are some moments, but it is not a central part of the series). Binbougami ga! is a parody/gag anime, whereas ImoCho tries to be a romantic comedy. I think Binbougami ga! is funnier.
