Naruto: Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto. The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as he has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization Akatsuki.

There are two kinds of fillers, you will see good fillers like One Piece where you can't even differentiate whether it is actually a canon or fillers and then there is bad fillers which messes up with the canon story line and ruining character development. I forgot to mention, there is also a hidden category, the worst of all are the flashback fillers and what is even more worse than that? Flashback fillers of scenes that you have already seen. This anime is ruined by enormous amount of flashback fillers that I can't even begin to describe. Seriously, these are just way too much that read more

I am a big anime fan and I have to say that Naruto: Shippuuden is one of my absolute all time favourites. There are probably so many people that would disagree with me and tell me that Naruto and Naruto: Shippuuden are a waste of time and that the story is a bunch of fillers put together. I strongly disagree and will tell you all why with this review of mine.

First of all, the biggest difference between Naruto and Shippuuden is the darker tone, the maturity and the depth in Shippuuden. In Naruto, the whole series was about him wanting to become the Hokage, read more

this anime, is turning into a huge disapointment,
its just being filled with fillers so they can make more cash and in echange losing naruto fans,
i am still waiting for the last fight, the manga ended a long time ago, literaly from episode 400 to 412 is made of fillers, thats 3 entire months of fillers....

the art has a 8 to me, it would be higher, but you can see that some episodes were just rushed out, the sounds have a 9, theres alot of character development on the wrong places that happens on the wrong times being made as fillers,
the enjoyment drops fast as read more

After an endless wasteland of filler, Naruto returns! Joy! Happiness! Frowns turned upside down! I couldn't believe it when the fillers ended. I was ecstatic.

Now I'm ready with a pillow whenever I tune in every friday. Question mark? I'll tell you why I'm prone to falling asleep while watching Naruto:Shippuuden - it just isn't Naruto anymore. It just isn't the same series.

Story: Don't get me wrong, Naruto didn't just magically start stabbing me with disappointment because the story started to totally go downhill. In fact, the first episode's preview with Naruto's future encounter with Sasuke had me on the edge of my seat. I read more

Anime: Bleach
Naruto and Bleach both synomonous with action animes. when you hear bleach the next anime that you would think of would be naruto... if you like it that is. they both are epic anime with outstanding character devlopement and plots so intricate you might would who were the brillant minds to think of this (I did anyway...) also there is some comic relief, a little bit of romance, and tons of serious parts too. and they're great for anyone

Anime: One Piece
Both of the anime series have a character that isn't the brightest of the bunch as the lead, and they both feature similar themes of being friends with each other, and rescuing one another from harm. Another very similar trait that they share is dreams, while Naruto wants to become the Hokage and Sasuke wants to become powerful enough to defeat Itachi, Luffy wants to become the Pirate King, and members of his crew share amibitions. One Piece is a must-see and by far one of the best shonen anime out there.

Anime: Fairy Tail
When I first started to watch fairy tail it reminded me so much of both naruto and naruto: shippuden, the coolest thing about about is that every character resembled a character off of naruto, for example nastu would be naruto, gray would sasuke, Lucy would be sakura and so on, and they both hold a lot of susppense so if you like fairy tail you are definatly going to like naruto

Anime: Nabari no Ou
Nabari no Ou is slightly more grown up and a modern 'way of the ninja' then Naruto. Both the main protagonist look alike, but Rokujo is more carefree and unknown about the whole situation he is in.

About Naburi no Ou: His English teacher and several students from the school protect him and theirselves from several enemies including ninja villages.
Scenery and animations have a more down-to-earth look and give a realistic feeling in some extend. Definatly worth a try, even if it's just for a few episodes. To get a feeling of 'Ohhh, there is more then just a ninja named Naruto  read more

Anime: Dragon Ball Z
If you like Dragon Ball Z you'll love Naruto Shippuden. These are both the second part of amazing series. There both more high action to their original and go into further depth with the characters and story. The one part I like about Naruto Shippuden over DBZ is that the main character, even though may not get as much screen time, has a tremendously better backround and character development.

Anime: Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Both animes have a main character is determined and always optimistic and when they decide on a goal they stick to it and fulfill it with 100% and determination. Obviously before you watch Naruto Shippuden you'd need to try the first series of it which is also similar to HxH because there are exams at the beginning and minor enemies to fight off to improve strength etc.
Both are fighting shounen animes so overall Hunter x Hunter and Naruto/Naruto Shippuden are greatly similar in many ways.
