Its all about demons.. about super duper hero who kills in no time.. :D ;)
Both anime have wicked red-clothed protagonists who are some kind of demon fighting against their own kind for the sake of humans. Both anime involve a lot of bloodshed, tons of firepower and insane moves.
Both anime are dark, both deal with the supernatural, in Hellsing theres vampires and in DMC theres demons.
Both have incredibly lazy but superpowerful main characters. Both battle demons/vampires constantly. Both don't have a very well developed main plot, view more for entertainment than story.
In both series, the protagonist is a powerful person of demonic origin, dressed in red, who is nearly invincible, has superhuman abilities and two big handguns of different colors. He is employed by humans to fights other demons in exceptionally gory and stylish way on a daily basis. The animation style is also somewhat similar.
About blood demons things Devil May Cry have more action in it but they as some same quality try it!
Both main characters are fighting against demons or vampires. And both main characters are very silent, but strong and demon/vampire thereselve.
In both of series they are lots of battles, blood, and violence... I am happy for both of series
Both main characters aren't fully humans. Both Alucard and Dante work for people as vampires/demons exterminators and love to shoot. They spread fear and destruction by hand of their two pistols. Plot isn't too developed, both anime are rather bloody exchange of fire.
If you liked the bloody moments in hellsing you will like the bloody moments in Devil May Cry.These to animes have guns, blood and good outfits.
Alucard and Dante are very similar to each other. First at all they have big guns and great powers; they're also bored and want to find an equal opponent and perfect competition. If you like characters who get involved in crazy fights with monsters, these are a good choice.

both of the main characters(Dante and Alucard)have some special abilities.They cannot be killed easily,like humans.they protect one girl.They are hunters,that kill vampires,ghosts etc.

Both are about a guy who is kind of a loner. They both use guns to do their work.
Both heroes are gun fighters with super power.
I am not saying if you liked the Devil May Cry anime, you should then watch this. If you were like me when you first knew about a DMC anime and knew how awesome the video games were you would have thought that the anime would have alot of action; but this anime was a disappointment to me.
If you've seen it, I recommend you watch Gungrave, the similarities is that well, what most fans of the DMC series like, is that the main character is cool looking and wield duel guns and blasts the hell out of monsters.
The reason why I think you should watch Gungrave instead of DMC is because you can get a more indepth understanding of each of the characters; unlike in DMC were you probably need to play the games to understand more about the characters.
Of course the Devil May Cry games are more superior to the Gungrave games, but I say that the Gungrave anime is far superior than the Devil May Cry anime.
Main characters are simmiliar in many ways, fighting with 2 guns.
Those anime are based on simmiliar action games on ps2.

Both are about the main character's hunting down their own kind (Dante is a demon who hunts demons, Alucard is a vampire who hunts vampires.) Both are full of action, monsters and blood but Hellsing is waaaaaay better than DMC.
I hate to say it, but, the character type you see here in DMC kind of mocks Hellsing, I'm not as educated to say which came first, but, if you are into the following, over powered main character, pointless fight scenes, a character that exudes such high level of cool that he freezes everything he walks by, then take a stroll through DMC, it'll help you appreciate why the original Hellsing was re adapted.

Well, you can say that Dante is an exorcist himself.. And also, he looks A LOT like Allen Walker from D. Gray Man.
Both are about destroying demons, but the main plot is different.

They have different plot, but both of them are action-packed and somehow doesn't follow a specific storyline. If you have liked Black Lagoon then you should also try Devil May Cry(vice versa), because both of them offers intense action!

In both animes the main character is a rather laid-back guy who has to fight monsters as a part of his work. In both animes the main character is accompanied by a girl he has to take care about and a female who comes to help from time to time. In Nightwalker, though, the characters are vampires.

Phantom is 1000th times better but although they share different genres and themes there´s a great similiarity between these two animes: The main guys, (Reiji and Dante) are serious assassins that develop a deep bond with little girls and try to protect them. Both girls, (Patty and Cal) are blonde and have a similar personality.

Bleach and Devil May Cry both have supernatural elements to them. Their protagonists are also very similair. Dante and Ichigo both lost thier mothers and feel responible for it. They also both have a link to the supernatural world in their particular series. Ichigo's is being a shimigami and Dante's being half-devil. Dante also has a awesomely cool sword which he uses as his one of his primary weapons. This show is very violent and not drawn out. It lasts for a total of 12 epsiodes and the ending raps everything up nicely!

Both produced by Madhouse, both involve eliminating supernatural forces, but DMC is more serious and dramatic while PQ is more comic. Ah, and both main characters have financial problems O_o

Both main characters own buisnesses. Every episode is a different mission, basically. They both hunt for bounties. In that respect they are very similar

In both animes the main charater is a gloomy guy with a kind heart who gets accompanied by a girl trying to lighten the mood around him. Feature big swords and lots of fights (with monsters in Devil May Cry and mecha in Gun x Sword).

It is similar to Get Backers because like Ginji and Ban, Dante is also unlucky in terms of money and luck.

The fighting scenes are almost the same with each other. The character's animation is great and somehow the same, and the attitude of the protagonist is also the same! I want to give Zombie Loan a 10, but the ending isn't nice, I'm asking for more. As for Devil May Cry, I got hooked to it from the very beginning so I gave it a 10. These animes are great fighting animes! With the zombies/devils, it's an action-packed anime!

WELL...there are hot characters in both! There's ALOT of action and they both have awesome music during the fighting scenes. The storylines and plots are just amazing because you don't know what to expect. There's a good twist in the end of every DMC episode. ^-^

Both are high in action and drama. If you are a fan of destructive combat, these will both jump out of the screen at you.

In Tokko humanes are destroing monsters and demons just like Dante and just like in Devil May Cry thar are humanes with super natural powers.

Devil Hunter, Dante is the son of sparda, then the ARMs and gunslinger Sheyenne Rainstorm had many tricks on guns. But Dante is quite good than Sheyenne. Well never mind.

The good guys defeat the bad ones and there's your typical happy end. But in these stories it's not so typical. Dante from Devil May Cry is a demon hunter who on top of that is a son of the demon Sparda. Abel from Trinity Blood is an absend-minded priest who in reality is Crusnik - a vampire that hunts other vampires and feeds on them. Well, they're not your everyday fellows, don't you think? Despite these facts, both are the caring type and both have problems with money. Another critical for the story-line fact is that the world depends on them, otherwise it won't be even a place you could call home.
