Same feel to it. Great graphics and same ingredients but Aquaring has more Power rangers style because of the teamwork stuff...

They both have a gigantic robot-guardian of Earth ridden by a 15 year-old. The fights are episodic with different opponents. And in both animes the military is trying to meddle in and trying to take control of the robots.
The plots are generally quiet different, with Bokurano having more thriller and drama elements, more main characters and different stories intertwined.
Reideen is mainly revolving around one boy's life and the story is filled with more action.

Both animes have very good visual effects. The main character transform in to the mecha/suit with an item, which is similar. They also share the same reasons as they fighting the evil guys.

Reideen may not have the same unique feel to it, and it also may lack the sort of emotional draw of E7, but Reideen features great 3DCG, smooth animation, and plenty of action...
The series is also based on aliens with giant robots fighting against humans with giant robots, although it technically wasn't that simple in E7, it still occurs...
Also, there is a love story between the main character and another girl, although it was blatantly introduced in the first (and only so far) intro, it is very subtle in the series, and has not even come up yet, despite being pretty far in...
Reideen 2007 is a series based on a Classic that I have not seen, so I can't tell you if it's faithful to the original or not...
The series is one of my favorites overall, despite it being hard to get due to its lack of support, it comes out on random dates, and you're lucky if you find it while checking fansub.tv's front page...
The encodes are Decent from Huzzah, and the subbing is pretty good too, just don't expect the best in the world, if you can go RAW, I can't because I don't know Japanese, but it would probably be the best option if you do...
Reideen 2007 is a great series, don't pass this one up...

i have to say this is one of the best series i had ever seen, as said the 3dcg was high quality and oso the battles are quite unique.. i like the god's theory on the swords, wands, underwater, god bird, arrow and i guess GOD's GREAT... something like it could end any tremendous evil forces in 1 slash. guess saiga junki was a big hero of the world... i like how it end... 9/10 series... hope it'll have OVA or smth.. to keep it running

Reideen 2007 by Production I.G. (who did Ghost in the Shell TV series, it's predecessor Reideen series were the prototype for Rahxephon. The new Reideen has a character similar to Mishima Reika, but Reideen's character does a lot more and is a lot more involved in the main character's life. Reideen does lack the brain trip/psychological exploration factor, and it's more like a beautifully done CG update of the classic giant robot series. It at least, isn't concept heavy like Eva, Rahxephon, or Gasaraki.
