The main heroines wield a sword and have fire powers which they use to take care of supernatural creatures.
Both series contain ancient magic and a pretty long, red-haired girl with a flaming sword that kicks bad guy butt.
Both main Characters can summon fire and are really noisy.
FLAMES!!!!! Romance plays a big part in some of the story, It was also taken fro ma light novel. okay im bad at this... but just trust me Shakugan no Shana shares a whole boatload with this anime
Both have red haired female protagonists of a young/teen age which use a sword and manipulate fire in one way or another
Both have a wise "guardian". Kazuma in KnS and Alastor in SnS
Both have elements of romance
Both fight against some sort of army (and the enemy army from both anime, reside in a castle of some type)
As soon as I started watching Kaze no Stigma, it made me think of Shakugan no Shana. Both main characters are similar, with their flaming tempers, and love for fighting. They may differ in some but both put a great magical fighting story.
Both series talks about a girl and her everyday life. Also, both Shana as Ayano port a fire sword that make they very similar is their fight style.
Wow, my favourites anime. Let see Shana is similar to Ayano.
They use fire and get upset very often...
They both involve violent heroines that have a thing for their partners. Shana and Ayano also both weild fire swords. They both involve magic, fighting, and romance. Shana and Ayano both get jealous easily.
Same type of main characters (Shana and Ayano are exactly the same, they even look similar), comedy, romance and action
Both female protagonists fight with flaming swords. Both are romance + magic
The main characters (Shana and Ayano) have a similar personality. Both are tsundere, have a flaming sword, and are strong female leads. Both series have many fights, a bit of fanservice and romance. In my opinion, Shana is much better, though.
same thing. girls with flaming swords. difference is the guy in kaze no stigma is stronger than the girl while in SnS, guy is weaker.
Strong, female leads, tsundere, flame-tempered, fight with fire wielding a flaming sword with red hair, crush on the main male lead. Shana = Ayano.
The similarities are pretty obvious.
Ayano Kannagi and Shana are both red-haired flame users, who wield special swords. The only difference is that Ayano is somewhat taller and has bigger bobbies.
A girl with a sword that can control fire and meets a guy who she does not like at first but eventually falls in love with him. Sound familiar? Yep both KnS and SnS have that
Both main female protagonists are alike, both action-packed animes. The main characters are growing closer to each other over time, and there are so-called ''contracts''.
Both main female leads have somewhat tsudere attitudes (Shana more so than Ayano). The female characters also wield fiery swords. There is also those Crimson Denizens and the Youma, which Shana and Ayano both are obligated to defeat...
a girl with red hair and blazing sword..
Both series contain that flaming sense theme and the action genre. Fantasy, drama, action, and romance are imminent through the series as the main girls fits into the tsundere category. As the series continues, both animes' main storyline and backstory begins to unraval.
Super power, Fighting alongside, Similar atmosphere surrounding
Is it just me or Kaze no Stigma is pretty much the same as Shakugan no Shana except the background story and the plot are little bit different & the male Protagoras is more of a badass. The best part is i dont have to wait for 3 season to see the real romance in Shana......besides that Shana and Stigma are the same in many ways......

The main characters (Hei and Kazuma) are both contractors and the others also have some extra-ordinary powers which other people don't have. Than we also have the detective/police woman, in Darker than BLACK Misaki and in Kaze no Stigma Kirika. I think that Kaze no Stigma contains some more humour than Darker than BLACK but I enjoyed both of this series very much. Somehow I saw some things that were alike so I wanted to do this recommendation..
Both of them deal with contractors who obtain super powers ... DTB is much better than Kaze no stigma in my opinion but they both have the same theme. Kaze no stigma is not as dark as DTB though.
dark, magical, good action and decent plot structure
alot of fun to watch
darker than black is more action-based, whereas kaze no stigma also has the action, but more geared towards comedy/romance (not to mention the lack of a holistic plot, but then again... the manga for kaze no stigma will never reach completion, so i'll give it a break :P).
but i highly enjoyed both. in fact, i took the recommend of kaze no stigma from DtB so i hope someone else to like them too :)
Both Hei and Kazuma are slick contractors (they literally say contractor in both), with awesomely unique abilities. Darker than black is a lot more serious in tone in comparison to Kaze No Stigma, but it's still a fun watch if you're into cool action sequences.
the main male characters in each series are both contractors, both men have killed without remorse or compassion, both have lost a female loved one (in Kaze no Stigma, it was Kazuma's lover n in Darker than Black it was Hei's sister) both series have a female police officer in each that covers up/investigates supernatural occurances,
Darker than Black has in my opinion the same style of fighting as Kaze no stigma, magic and stuff. Both main characters have a dark past (Lee and Kazuma) have lost a loved one (tswe ling for kaze and Lee's sister in darker than black). both come in small arcs or single episodes intill about episode 14. Darker than Black is a lot darker and bloodier than kaze in my opinion, it has no romance or comedy. in kaze there are only 3 types of magic but in darker than black all of the characters have different powers. Both are great shows
Kazuma and Hei both behave in the very same way. They are both calm and cool. When it comes to girls they freak out. Both anime's have supernatural powers.

Both have strong willed female characters and alloof male characters, not wanting to have a part in the matters until they are forced to. Elements and swords are also involved, not to mention action scenes.
The characters and their interactions are almost a carbon copy, and without going into minute detail it's safe to assume that if you liked one show you will feel at home on the other.
The setting might be different but since both shows revolve heavily around character interactions, the change in scenario will barely be noticeable to most ><
They both have a red-headed tsudere girl from a prestigious family who tries her best to succeed her father but is totally useless. They both wield swords. Then comes the male characters with brown hair and blue eyes, who are both mysterious and cold but they grow to like the female character.
There is someone younger following both main characters in each anime who have blond hair and are soft-hearted.
In both, male characters had a girl who they(seemingly)liked but this girl got eaten by a demon and thus they seek revenge and both have a tremendous power that they gained from their malice.
The main difference is that the setting for both animes. Kaze No Stigma is in present time in Japan and Seikon No Blacksmith is ALOT earlier.
The lead carachters are very alike. Both girls are strong minded and stubborn. Both boys are cold. Both series have a lot of fantasy.
Both series contain a male protagonist who is independent, strong, but also caring towards his friends and allies.
Both series contain fantasy themes and involving the art of swordsmanship. The two main characters also has an unique relationship revolving around from tsundere, respect, and even affections.
Both series contain drama, action, fantasy, and hints of romance.
First off, both main male protagonists have a similar attitude. Both main female protagonists are very determined and Ayano & Cecily have red hair. Both have similar romance between the main characters. Both have action, & elemental powers (Aria; Air & Kazuma; Air). Both main male characters have lost someone dear to them in the past. Also, Cecily & Ayano use swords. I don't know who copied who, but it sure seems like one of them copied each other. I mean like, it is no coincidence that there are so many similarities in both Animes. But, if you enjoyed Kaze No Stigma, you should watch Seiken no Blacksmith. & if you enjoyed Seiken No Blacksmith, you should watch Kaze No Stigma. But, Kaze No stigma is much much better than Seiken No Blacksmith. Seiken No Blacksmith is much shorter = But u'll love BOTH! ^__^
If you want another anime including ecchi shots, tsundere redheads, and cool main male characters with a tragic past, than take a look at Seiken no Blacksmith.

The mains guys are both badasses ie extremely powerful
both shows have magical powers
Differences
Estetica has a huge amount of fanservice
Stigma isnt really a harem
Both series consists of supernatural elements and a mysterious atmosphere surrounding the main characters and setting of the story.
Both series' main male protagonist are independent and strong who are usually in control of any situation.
Both series contain action, drama, comedy, and also some emotional moments.
Both main character are very powerful.
Both anime could clearly have another season ( ._. )
Kaze no Stigma and Hagure Yuusha no Estetica are very similar to each other. The main protagonists personalities are pretty much equal. They don't allow others to toy them around for no good reasons and both are badasses and overpower. If you liked one of these series, I guarantee you like the other.

Because of Kazuma and Ayano. Their relationship is similar to those of Chidori and Sosuke. And their both funny. But, their difference is that, FMP uses military theme while Kaze no Stigma uses magic theme.
The main characters are strikingly similar, a serious-minded male lead and a tsundere female lead. Generally action oriented with a subtle/light-hearted romantic feel, so they are also akin in genre.
The relationship between the main characters kinda reminds me of each other.
Also the atmosphere. The guy and the girl, falling in love fighting side by side and in the breaks without fighting, they go through everyday problems.
Also the production studio is the same... but that doesn't count to much...
Both are Action/Romance shows based off of a novel from Monthly Dragon Magazine, where a strong male lead has to protect a weak, but strong-minded female in a High School setting. The main difference is that FMP! is mecha, but KnS is Swords/Sorcery.
the girl protaginists are almost literally excalty the same, acting tsundre towards the main protaginist
theres a bit of a difference one it comes to the guys, for FMP the girl always beats up the guy, while in kaze no stigma, he's always dodging it
also they both have dark pasts.
o, and a rival appears too for both of them.

The main persons are very funny. In both anime are romantic, action, magicans and a lot more stuff. Ayano and Louise have the same reaction the one with fire the other one with explosions.
Both animes involve a main female character who is expected to be very strong, they both jump to their own conclusions on anything and they have a lot of jealousy towards the strong male character when they are with another woman. Zero no Tsukaima has a little more romance, less action and a little more humor (that depends on what you find funny of course).
Both are action adventure/romance with a fantasy element. They both had actual romance, a tiny bit of kissing and such. Kaze no Stigma is more mature than Zero no Tsukaima.
in both of them they fight frequently but over time the guy starts to like the girl, and the girl starts to like the guy but never admits it to herself let alone the boy as well. they both also involve majic, and in Zero no Tsukaima/The Familiar of Zero the boy is her familiar, in Kaze no Stigma the boy is her body guard so its sort of similar.
The art is similar, and the plot involves people with special powers. The main girl uses a magical sword to fight and is always teasing and fighting with the main guy. The main guy had a painful childhood where he was despised and bullied by everyone, and also, he lost his first love. He also has a huge power inside him, and if that power stays out of control, he becomes evil. The symbol of that power is on his eyes.
both of them (main protaginists) are great "magicans" in a sense,
they both have a swordsman girl as a comrade/ally
they both have special eye powers that are rare.
they both have a laid-back attitude but there still super strong
both of them are "alone"
The relationship between the two main characters are almost identical. In both the animes the girl is hotheaded and always seems to be angry at the protagonist but actually likes him. Both protagonists are ridiculously strong and both the girls weild swords.
Both of these have a strong protagonist right from the start of the anime. Both protagonists have a dark/sad history. Both also anime have magic involved. Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu has a medieval fantasy setting while Kaze no Stigma has a modern setting.
they have the same feelings :D
The main male characters certainly look a lot alike. They are both also protective of the people they care about. Both females are not weak; they show there strengths by defeating the enemies. There is a lot of fight scenes and cute romances in both.
Both Busou Renkin and Kaze no Stigma:
1)Have a male and a female fighting against creatures/or people using magical powers that must be kept a secret from normal people.
2)Have a slight romance also have a bit of comedy involved.
If you liked one try another.
Both anime are based on the supernatural and contain a very likable male lead. Both are high action, very high comedy, and have impeccable animation. Both also have a lot of in-depth backstory that draws the audience in.
Both deal with evil spirits like yoma, and hollows. Also deal with an evil mastermind pulling the strings the whole time. Also Kazuma's and Ayano's relationship is a lot like Rukia and Ichigo's.
They both involve lots of sword fighting and tons of techniques that are similar both very good action anime.
In the series the male and female main characters share the same personalities.
While Kaze no Stigma's main story is mostly based on magic and Kaichou wa Maid-Sama! School life I would say that these are two animes fans of one have to watch.
Both Include
* Romance
* Same Chara Personalities
* Same atmosphere at times
Fans of one give the other a chance, Both are simply amazing animes.
Give then both some time..
the main characters [girls] are always trying their best in everything, but the main characters [boys] always seem better than them in whatever they do. although kaze no stigma is more fantasy-like, and kaichou wa maid-sama is more realistic, they are both nice anime.
The guy is serious and majorly amazing at everything which only infuriates the girl... yet she finds herself relying on him and unconsciously falling for him. Also the girl is tough and will stand her own ground. Overall I think they are very close just Kaze no Stigma is not quite as lovey dovey.

An exile returns more powerful than ever to tell his family that he was not pleased with the way he was treated.
Both main characters are powerful and smart.
These two animes are the only ones i know that dont have an enemy tell the main character something like "your not strong enough"
Instead they both pwn.
these animes are so much alike the main characters are based on a gurl wit fire powers in bother than fall in love wit the main male character
Both Shana and the main female lead have similar characteristics! Both have flaming swords! Both have the same shounen, romance, fantasy action feel! DEFINITELY A RECOMMENDATION to watch while you wait for Shakugan no Shana 3 to come out!!! Also the main male lead is guranteed to become one of your favourite characters in anime! :D Pretty enjoyable to watch!
Both anime are about peaple whose job is to exorcise evil spirits, break curses etc. They also have a similar main male lead who is full of himself and rather irritating to those around him.
This may seem like an odd recommendation, since both shows follow very different story lines; however the characters of each series reminded me of each other. For instance, the relationship that Naru and Mai (Ghost Hunt) have is just of that of Kazuma and Ayano's (Kaze no Stigma).
Magic and similar personalities. Im pretty sure that if you like one, you're gonna like the other aswell.
Even though Fairy Tail is still on-going, it is similar to Kaze No Stigma due to the powers that everyone has, although not everyone can use these powers, it bases around those who can, in Fairy Tail it's more about Natsu trying to achieve his goal in finding Igneel, as opposed to Kaze No Stigma where Kazuma just completes jobs to get his next pay check! Both animes are amazing (I consider Kaze No Stigma a better anime and thus rated it '10'). If you liked one, you'll most likely like the other!
Both of these series involve the characters having elemental super powers (such as fire, earth, wind and etc). The focus and plot line of both of these series are completely different but a different story with similar action may be a refreshing change. Both series also contain some romantic elements, although Tokyo Underground places more importance on this.
They both have to fight against the 'bad guys' and they both have special abilities to do with the elements. The main characters in both stories elements are Wind (Kaze).
They have very similar atmospheres :) Ayano is just like Chidori.
They are similar in that Ayano is loud like Chidori and they both have a person that corrects them when there being rash.
KHR like in Kaze no stigma has these nature powers like fire, water, thunder and others..i think that's pretty similar to both of those anime and both are super awesome anime to watch!
The characters are completely different in the two animes; Tusna is a a wimpy, no-good middle schooler, whereas Kazuma is more "mature" and way more confident in his power.
But both animes have the theme of protecting everyone around them. Both realize the because they have the power to do so, they need to protect everyone they can.
Both have a protagonist with a power in his eyes. Every episode the protagonist deals with supernatural things. The voice actors are the same for the main girl and the main boy in both animes.
The whole atmosphere of both stories is of a powerful guy with problems of his own that he tries to keep bottled up but the girl manages to get to him and they create a strond bond between each other. Rather then romance, you can tell there's a lot of caring between the characters despite their stubborn attitudes. Very similar for sure!
There is a main guy who is a total badass in both who doesnt need to depend on anyone else because theyre CRAZY strong and theres romance in both of them
Both main characters are strong and and have an independent mindset. In the romance aspect, the lead female is strong but not as strong as the main character and they both find that frustrating
Both have different situations, but they both have the same supernatural elements. Both have a arrogant/ rough girl who is trying to fight against the methods' of the anti-hero/ protagonist.
Both series plays the idea of a superpower theme involving a strong, independent, and tough main male protagonist. Thus, in both series, the male protagonist meets a female protagonist and the two form a strange relationship.
Both series deals with power of fire as a tool of destruction.
Both series takes place at a school setting and involves action, drama, and comedy. While Code:Breaker lacks romance, it makes it up with its more variety of supporting characters.
Both includes: the cute romance between nice cheeky guy and stubborn in-denial short-tempered girl
has the decent amount of action and drama
both are a pretty enjoyable watch
the female characters are pretty much the same. can't decide on feelings etc. the boys both act the same cheeky etc. its a good anime check it out. another cool thing as that they are both stronger so its a really good anime if u have time
romance ~ check
fight/action scenes ~ check
demons/bad guys/organisations ~ check
80% action 20% romance give or take. Magic, strong heroes, epic battles, little to no fillers or what might be considered fillers are more like character development.
Neither are super original, but both keep to well formed stories and character developments.
That describes both series.
Train Heartnet the main character of black cat is very similar to kazuma of kaze no stigma, both have a black past and they are really strong in their worlds
Honestly, the only thing that kept me watching in both these animes is that the main character is really strong and beats the hell out of everyone. So if you liked Kaze no Stigma or Black Cat for that reason, you'll probably like the other too.
Both are about a group that fights against demons, and the female protagonist is a energetic schoolgirl while the male protagonist is a guy tormented by the memories of his past lover that died and that he couldn't protect. Ofc, many hints of romance between the protagonists.
A couple just shy of getting together the roles are just switched (ayano is more of a hot head like inuyasha, Kagome is more calm).
Both guys have a previous lover they could not save.
Both guys are not in good terms with their fathers.
Both guys have brothers
In both the female has nosey friends
In both the female is able to handle herself to a degree
- Both are set in a world that is quite normal on the first look (one is a bit more futuristic though) but involve supernatural occurrences, like magicians or people with abnormal powers.
- Both male protagonists are badass. Touma with his Imagine Breaker and Kazuma with his affinity to fire
Both main characters have a cool ability of some sort. They both start off kind of weak but then get stronger (not throughout the story but more in the beginning). They are both really fun to watch.
main hero is betrayed by his family and forced to become stronger in order to live and protect others
The two series have completely different stories, but the main character in both of them is extremely powerful. In Kaze no Stigma, Yagami is a very powerful mage that controls wind, and in Mondaiji-tachi, Izayoi-san has a very powerfull gift although his powers are still a mystery.
Both series involve magic and psychic abilities in a modern setting. The Level Upper arc is remarkably similar to the Pandemonium arc.
Both main male protagonists try to change their life styles from dark merceless killers to caring and positive heroes, also the main female characters is very similar, both of them is very short tempered.
Both anime have character development and then in-depth story lines. I personally consider Kaze No Stigma the better anime; however, they both have supernatural powers. In Kaze No Stigma, they use the four elements (Wind, Fire, Water and Earth), while in 07-Ghost, they use "runes." Both protagonists strive with their powers and both are trying to achieve a goal. Both have good sound tracks and are good anime! If you like one, you'll most likely like the other!
♫both female main characters (Kanade and Ayano) fight with the use of flame♫
♫both anime revolve around supernatural fights, and both have hot, demon (or just demon-like) and a girl which sticks with main protagonist♫
♫both of these anime revolve around suppernatural fights♫
♫both have demon and fire-related girl which sticks with the main protagonist♫
Definitely a fav.
-Great fights, supernatural powers and cool main characters.
Both have magic users. A badass main character. Loudmouth girl. Quiet boy sidekick. Fighting magical s#$%. And the main character has a girl in his life he couldn't protect!
damn similar plots. interesting the same way.
Both Shana and the main female lead have similar characteristics! Both have flaming swords!
Both fall in love with the main male character if you like Kaze No Stima
Your gonna love Shakugan No Shana
Both are action/comedy anime that involve magic use for exorcisms.
In both, certain characters tend to rampage in spite of their friends' efforts to restrain them.
the simmilarity is that no one likes him that there the black sheep and the other is hatted by everyone
the difference one controls magic he other elements using magic and ones an orphan and the others been casted out
One of the few fighting animes in witch the main characters don't get beaten/killed several times before they actually go super sayan mode
-Both main character are overpowered.
-Both anime have "magic powers"
-Both anime have people who can be divided in two categories: normal people, and people with "magic powers" (Esper)
The main character, Kazuma, has an overconfident personality like that of Tooyama Kinji from Hidan no Aria.
The main character's partner having respectable power as well as the ability to hide her true feelings.
Both are involved in magic. One involves fairies, the other natural elements.
They are also very similar romance wise.
Both start with a protagonist that already knows how to do his stuff and both involve a fantasy/magic element. Both are also looking for answers.
Both are about a clan of people with supernatural powers that fight against demons. Also, the main guy is extremely powerful, serious, and tormented by the memories of the girl he deeply loved in the past. Epic battles.
Ga-rei is more bloody and violent, while KNS is more romance, but the two share a plot of action/supernatural, where the main girl fights with a sword against evil spirits/demons.
In both, a girl and one boy blood related (in KD, are siblings while in KNS are cousins) are from a village where there are clans with some sort of power.
Also there are similarities in the plot: one of the main guys was mistreated and misjudged and later arrested/expelled. Also, he later comes back for revenge against those who mistreated him. In both in KD and KNS, the same boy knew a girl, fell in love but then something happened to her.
How far will you go to protect your loved ones? How far can they go? Watch and find out as magic helps and destroys people in this magical anime loaded with laughter and saddenss. Never underestimate the element of suprise~
episode 17 just caught my eye and make my think it was suzuka for a min or two. and they're both really good animes.
Flame users(enjitsu) and wind users (fujitsu) involved in both, while watching flame of recca reminded me of kaze no stigma. Personally think kaze no stigma is better; if you like one give the other a shot
Kamui always makes me think of Kazuma from Kaze no Stigma and both anime have a lot different powers in them.
If you like stories with a headstrong guy and tsundere girl who have to team up to fight for a cause then you will definitely like Princess Tutu! Don't let the theme about ballet confuse you! It gets really serious as you get deeper into the story!
Both are really similar:
**Romance, Comedy, Drama, Supernatural/Magical setting, unexpected love
Both funny magic animes, with plenty of everything: Humor, fighting, and a bit of romance and drama here and there. Watch them!
both deals with demons and nature power..
in kaze no stigma it's fire and wind.. in Wagaya no Oinari-sama it's water and wood..
in short.. both anime has the same feeling to it..
Both are magical action where random bad guys/creatures turns up, gets defeated and then moves on. also, both have elements of romance between the 2 main protagonists.
While seeing all these supernatural abilities, we somehow want to become closer to that kind of world. In Kaze no Stigma is exposed only the one side of it - the direct use of magic without a thought about how it was gained and how it is supposed to be used. But there is Rental Magica that not only focus on the supernatural, on the magic itself, but on explaining the things we don't know about it - how it is related to martial arts, what are the different kinds of magic (e.g. Celtic, Shinto, Solomon) that come from different places on Earth. So if you are fascinated by Kaze no Stigma, you'll just need to learn more about magic with Rental Magica!
If you like the 'One-Man Army' type of shows, then both Kaze no Stigma and/or Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari would definitely be worth seeing.
Whilst Kaze deals with the supernatural, Isekai is heavily influenced by mecha. Each of the leading males have the power to not only move the show, but also their leading female counter-parts.
If you've seen one, than I'd highly recommend watching the other!
both main characters have troubled pasts and fight against demons of a sort, youma/akuma, as well as discover teamwork of a sort and while kaze no stigma has more of a romance theme, they both include action.
No matter if it is action or magic or horror - for me - Anime has to have love and romance. These botth Anime has Romance :)
Both series have a similar relationship between the two main characters (A male lead keeping the female tsundre in check). In addition, both series have the leads beginning as mortal enemies - as far as trying to kill each other.
The main characters who fight in these animes have one thing in common: Nothing can stop them, They force their way forward.
i cant say too much without giving away spoilers but...
sekirei - a game is set loose in the city with many player able to make bonds with many "wepons" and have to battle it out. fun , a bucket load of action scenes, and more echi than you can shake a stick at.
kaze no stigma- differnet sets of mages (set in modern day japan , like sekirei) the leading man being banished from the strongest of the fire clans for being week (having no control over fire sprites) and comes back years later as a wind mage. let the battle comence as our money hungry protagonist fights through house wars with other clans.
Both of the main actors use wind powers, just Kaxe no Stigma is more serious while Gate keepers is a more a comedy series
Chidori really reminds me of Ayano. The thing is that Chidori is WAY more likeable than Ayano!
they both have guys that are trying to work with the special girls to save their town/city, both the guys have their hands full protecting both the girl and the town, and in both stories the characters have special abilities they use
In both series are people with unusual skills who are fighting with dangerous enemies... and friends.
Dramatic, but funny. Tears and laugh.
Plots aren't similar. I mean Mai-HiME has better one. But both of them are interesting.
the romantic aspect and male leads for both of these are very similar. watching one reminds me of the other.
Ayano and Akane both act the same if the person they like disrespects them they get mad and fight them though Ranma and Kazuma are both stronger than them and like to tease them. The differences in both shows are huge in Ranma 1/2 it is a light heart random dojo fighting show this show is more dark sort of funny but mostly action packed. Another common thing about both of these show are they share these girls dads who want to set them up with the lead guy.
