Both series contain ancient magic and a pretty long, red-haired girl with a flaming sword that kicks bad guy butt.
The main characters (Hei and Kazuma) are both contractors and the others also have some extra-ordinary powers which other people don't have. Than we also have the detective/police woman, in Darker than BLACK Misaki and in Kaze no Stigma Kirika. I think that Kaze no Stigma contains some more humour than Darker than BLACK but I enjoyed both of this series very much. Somehow I saw some things that were alike so I wanted to do this recommendation..

The main persons are very funny. In both anime are romantic, action, magicans and a lot more stuff. Ayano and Louise have the same reaction the one with fire the other one with explosions.
Both of these series involve the characters having elemental super powers (such as fire, earth, wind and etc). The focus and plot line of both of these series are completely different but a different story with similar action may be a refreshing change. Both series also contain some romantic elements, although Tokyo Underground places more importance on this.
Both includes: the cute romance between nice cheeky guy and stubborn in-denial short-tempered girl
has the decent amount of action and drama
both are a pretty enjoyable watch
romance ~ check
fight/action scenes ~ check
demons/bad guys/organisations ~ check
They have very similar atmospheres :) Ayano is just like Chidori.

Because of Kazuma and Ayano. Their relationship is similar to those of Chidori and Sosuke. And their both funny. But, their difference is that, FMP uses military theme while Kaze no Stigma uses magic theme.
i cant say too much without giving away spoilers but...
sekirei - a game is set loose in the city with many player able to make bonds with many "wepons" and have to battle it out. fun , a bucket load of action scenes, and more echi than you can shake a stick at.

kaze no stigma- differnet sets of mages (set in modern day japan , like sekirei) the leading man being banished from the strongest of the fire clans for being week (having no control over fire sprites) and comes back years later as a wind mage. let the battle comence as our money hungry protagonist fights through house wars with other clans.
Both anime are about peaple whose job is to exorcise evil spirits, break curses etc. They also have a similar main male lead who is full of himself and rather irritating to those around him.

Both of the main actors use wind powers
the romantic aspect and male leads for both of these are very similar. watching one reminds me of the other.
Chidori really reminds me of Ayano. The thing is that Chidori is WAY more likeable than Ayano!
these animes are so much alike the main characters are based on a gurl wit fire powers in bother than fall in love wit the main male character
Both have strong willed female characters and alloof male characters, not wanting to have a part in the matters until they are forced to. Elements and swords are also involved, not to mention action scenes.
Both deal with evil spirits like yoma, and hollows. Also deal with an evil mastermind pulling the strings the whole time. Also Kazuma's and Ayano's relationship is a lot like Rukia and Ichigo's.
Both the main characters can fly. WHOOOSH!
Both start with a protagonist that already knows how to do his stuff and both involve a fantasy/magic element. Both are also looking for answers.
both main characters have troubled pasts and fight against demons of a sort, youma/akuma, as well as discover teamwork of a sort and while kaze no stigma has more of a romance theme, they both include action.
Both series have a similar relationship between the two main characters (A male lead keeping the female tsundre in check). In addition, both series have the leads beginning as mortal enemies - as far as trying to kill each other.
there is dueling in it almost look like it is real
both deals with demons and nature power..
in kaze no stigma it's fire and wind.. in Wagaya no Oinari-sama it's water and wood..
in short.. both anime has the same feeling to it..
they have the same feelings :D

Both funny magic animes, with plenty of everything: Humor, fighting, and a bit of romance and drama here and there. Watch them!

Both are magical action where random bad guys/creatures turns up, gets defeated and then moves on. also, both have elements of romance between the 2 main protagonists.
Flame users(enjitsu) and wind users (fujitsu) involved in both, while watching flame of recca reminded me of kaze no stigma. Personally think kaze no stigma is better; if you like one give the other a shot
Train Heartnet the main character of black cat is very similar to kazuma of kaze no stigma, both have a black past and they are really strong in their worlds
How far will you go to protect your loved ones? How far can they go? Watch and find out as magic helps and destroys people in this magical anime loaded with laughter and saddenss. Never underestimate the element of suprise~
There is a main guy who is a total badass in both who doesnt need to depend on anyone else because theyre CRAZY strong and theres romance in both of them
Kamui always makes me think of Kazuma from Kaze no Stigma and both anime have a lot different powers in them.
While seeing all these supernatural abilities, we somehow want to become closer to that kind of world. In Kaze no Stigma is exposed only the one side of it - the direct use of magic without a thought about how it was gained and how it is supposed to be used. But there is Rental Magica that not only focus on the supernatural, on the magic itself, but on explaining the things we don't know about it - how it is related to martial arts, what are the different kinds of magic (e.g. Celtic, Shinto, Solomon) that come from different places on Earth. So if you are fascinated by Kaze no Stigma, you'll just need to learn more about magic with Rental Magica!
episode 17 just caught my eye and make my think it was suzuka for a min or two. and they're both really good animes.
An exile returns more powerful than ever to tell his family that he was not pleased with the way he was treated.
