There is no romanticism in this OVA, which is odd, considering the content. Mokkun, a somewhat bland character, sees Pico and ends up having sex with the underaged boy. He brings Pico around slowly, taking him out for ice cream, giving him blowjobs in the car, then finally bringing him around to his apartment. What creeps me out is the realism involved here...they don't fall in love. There are no roses. Instead there's a guy who seems to have little or no social life or girlfriend obsessing over a pretty boy. To the point where he dresses the boy up as a girl and even compares him to one. Pico likes the attention and (after the initial shock) the sex. It brings to mind stories of teachers having sex with their young children that you see in the news from time to time. I watch this anime and think...this could happen, no, this has happened to people. Not all cases of pedophiles are brutal rapes. Mokkun is neither presented as a bad guy or a good guy. He is not madly in love with Pico nor does he treat him badly, nor is it clear if he is manipulating the boy or simply lonely and desperate.
Pico too is a mystery. He is staying with his grandfather, for the summer if I remember correctly. The man seems old and disinterested in Pico and more than happy to let a completely strange man take his grandson out for long periods of time. If we consider the ending, which takes place at night on the beach...where is the grandfather!?
Of course, I'm not trying to say this is anything but shota porn, no. Merely that it stands out to me because of its stark realism. Compared to other yaoi, and even to its own sequels (Pico to Chico and Pico x Coco) Boku no Pico stands out awkwardly. It's clear Pico loves Mokkun much more than Mokkun loves him and the ending scene where Pico turns his innocent blue eyes towards the audience (facing Mokkun) and says 'I love you' always haunted me.
There are no roses and flowers in this OVA, no love, no happy ending. Just a brief glimpse into the life of a man and his lover, who happens to be a boy. The series takes its time showing scenery and building up to the sex scenes, all the while playing the disturbing call of cicadas. Had there been better character development, more story and more purpose, this could have been quite the interesting anime.
Overall, enjoyable as shota, but with the slightest sense of something not right going on underneath the surface. I can't even go so far as to say it glorifies pedophilia or rape...just presents it. Boku no Pico is an anime that does not judge, merely shows. read more

Boku no Pico is the "Two girls one cup" of anime. It's gained some viral popularity mainly through its pure shock value for those not expecting it. It's also occasionally described as "the worst anime of all time" by fairly popular reviewers such as Arkada and HoldenReviews however they provided little information as to what it is actually about. As such I watched it with no context as to its actual content, just to see what everyone was on about.
To make this crystal clear to those who are not aware this is Shoutacon Hentai, meaning it is animated homosexual pedophilic pornography (for art purposes only according to the show :P). Around 60% of the run-time of the episode is purely sex scenes.
The relationship between the two characters is creepily believable and realistic. The older man seems lonely and in denial about his bisexuality, even going so far as to dress Pico up as a girl, he never acknowledges he feels any romantic attraction to him or that the relationship exists for anything other than his own sexual satisfaction. Pico on the other hand is clearly infatuated with him.
But perhaps the most disturbing thing about this show is the same reason I can't give it a 1 even though I have no interest in yaoi. This isn't some shitty dojinshi, the animation is of the same standard you'd expect from an average anime of its time. It's even complete with an opening and soundtrack. So this cannot have been cheap to produce and judging by the fact that multiple sequels were made it may also have been a financial success. What I'm getting at is that a lot of people were actually willing to PAY for this.
The show really isn't all that bad at achieving it's intended purpose but there are really only a couple of reasons to watch this, if you are genuinely entertained by shoutacon hentai. To troll your friends, or just to know what the hell everyone is going on about when they talk about this show.

At times, it will have you laughing.
At times, it will have you crying.
At times, it will have you curious.
At times, it will have you enveloped into the sharp folds of the powerful, compelling storyline of this masterpiece, 'Boku no Pico'.
Story - 10
This is one of the most beautiful and complex stories I have ever seen. You really need to pay attention to experience it all, small details may have you puzzled over the overall plot.
Well, what is it about?
This story is about Pico, our main character, and his travels. He meets many people on his journey to overcome the great overshadowing darkness of heterosexuality.
The story is just so well scripted and well written that I couldn't ask for anything more. Each individual scene is crafted with such elegance that it's hard to believe that this was originally a low-budget anime.
Art - 10
The artwork in Boku no Pico is simply eye-dazzling.
Such detailed and bright, colorful artwork contrasts with the deep storyline of Boku no Pico to create a brilliant blend of excellency.
I fail to see how anyone couldn't like this art style.
One of the outstanding points is that there is NO QUALITY. Faces are all drawn extremely accurately and with care and effort. Laziness is not a factor which you will find in the artwork of Boku no Pico.
Sound - 10
Boku no Pico's sound quality.. what can I say?
The voice actors are just so talented and the emotions they portray are so realistic that you would almost think that the VAs were feeling those emotions real-time.
Boku no Pico's voice actors are nothing you would find in an amateur animation. These voice actors are just so skilled and talented with their silky fabric voices, sounding like the strings of a thousand golden harmonicas rained from angels above in heaven.
The OST is absolutely astounding. The background music is crafted with various instruments to create the most eargasmic sounds which you will ever hear. A lot of piano and violin is used to create the perfect combination of notes which will have you downloading the whole OST just to listen to it over and over again.
Character - 10
Each individual character is unique and cliche characters are never present. The character development is just so good that you really wonder if this was based off a real story.
The emotions felt by the characters - ranging from happy, to sad, to angry, are all very lifelike. You will never have thought they were fabricated with video and audio. Such strong emotions rival the deep emotions of Sasuke from Naruto.
Enjoyment - 10
A fucking blast. Amazing.
Overall - 10
Like I said, what have I got to say? Boku no Pico is a masterpiece among masterpieces. It is just simply excellent.

Where to begin with this... Now, since this is a bit, um, sensitive to review, I'll try to be, I don't know, open-minded or something. It horrified me. No doubt, I was shaking in fear the whole time watching this. Not only the thought itself is so disturbing, but added with the art and sound...Oh, sweet freakn Jesus.
Also, the characters (all, like, three of them) are never really developed at all. There's really no story, nope, they're too busy with the porn for that.
So why, WHY did I give it a 10? I couldn't. Stop. Watching. Even though I tried. So. Hard. I'm sorry that I can't explain it. But even though it scarred me for life, it was...good. Really good. Maybe that it's just the thought that the creators were like, "Yeah, we're doing this! We don't care what anyone thinks! Even if the police arrest us for being complete pedos, we're doin' it anyway!" Maybe the fact that it's so taboo is what makes it so hard to stop watching. Even though it's so painful to, you're interested.
Watch this, if you dare. Fair warning, afterwards you shall be immune to anything hentai throws at you. read more

And indeed, I quickly went through all those steps.
At first, it was curiosity. Then after 3 minutes (this strange opening passed), it felt just wrong and I had to use all my will to prevent myself from piercing my eyes.
Basically, it is the story of a man which is asked (we don’t know why so suddenly) to befriend with a girlish young boy which dresses up like a girl...
My grandpa, is asking a total stranger to take care of me. Dammit what's wrong with this line?!
And then, their relationship grows at the speed of light having sex and stuff together. Everything's fine. There it is: nothing more, nothing less. Nothing is interesting about the characters, we learn nothing about them except the size of their junk.
What would have made it more enjoyable (if it was possible), would have been art and music to add some non-existant emotion, but on both sides, it was bad.
The worst thing in it, was that this OAV is so absurd that it becomes laughable. read more

The biggest challenge in the anime world is to watch the infamous yaoi shotacon series called Boku no Pico produced by Natural High Studios. Do not take on this challenge if:
- you cannot think of a young adult male giving head to an underage boy without getting nauseated or beyond disgusted.
- you’re watching Yaoi for the first time. If you’re curious about Yaoi, watch anything (Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is highly recommended) but this!
- you’re a Yaoi fan who hates girly ukes. Trust me, this is the worst one yet.
Story (3) / Character (3):
There is no love story or drama involved in this OVA. You basically have a young adult male who becomes sexually attracted to an underage boy at first sight because of his feminine appearance. Pico is spending the summer at the beach working at his grandfather’s café in a maid outfit. After Tamotsu (or “Mokkun,” Pico’s nickname for him) meets Pico for the first time at the café, Pico’s grandfather suggests that Pico and Tamotsu become friends.
In similar hentai (e.g. Oni ChiChi), there’s protest and mention about an age difference. The grandfather doesn’t care that his grandson is gone all day and night with some complete stranger. Mokkun begins a sexual relationship with Pico without any regards to him being a child. It seems to be completely normal in that world.
The story is greatly misleading, and there’s a lack of character development. It’s as if Natural High Studios is forcing you to move forward with the sequels. The theme song presents Pico as a major slut with him modeling in one-piece swimsuits and sexy lingerie, showing the outline of his scrotum. Also, Pico seems experienced when it comes to teasing a man with the way he licks ice cream lustfully from his lips. However, Pico “claims” to be a virgin but takes everything from Mokkun with no hesitation.
Hentai lovers would greatly find this anime to be mediocre because of Pico’s reaction from the first time he has anal sex. He doesn’t scream nor shows any resistance. It’s a plain reaction you would expect from a sexually experienced individual instead of a little boy taking in a huge penis from a guy in his 20s. It seems like Pico has a past or is hiding something. I’m convinced that he’s been with a man before.
Pico appears as a crossdresser from the very beginning. He literally looks like a flat-chested girl with short hair and a girly voice to match. He wears feminine clothing from daisy dukes to workout clothes consisting of a sports bra and tight shorts with ballet slippers. It made no sense for him to protest when Mokkun asks him to wear a little girl outfit consisting of panties. That was an irrelevant scene considering the circumstances if you ask me.
Sound (6) / Art (8):
Natural High succeeded in the sound and art category. The story takes place during the summer on a beach, and you hear the sounds of bugs and the ocean waves crash against the rocks, despite the loud moans coming from Pico. However, the lyrics to the theme song provides misinformation about the story. Lyrics: "Let's fall in love before we kiss." Once again, there's no romanticism in this OVA.
The art is your typical shoujo animation, so there’s no complaints unless you hate big-eyed characters. The characters are well-drawn as well as the image of Pico in skimpy outfits. It’s realistic under the circumstances (e.g. Pico's small penis).
Overall, my curiosity peeked from people having mixed feelings about this series and statements from several people who actually vomited from watching it. I wanted to be a badass, so I took on this challenge. I found myself constantly checking the timer: “No, I have 25 more minutes left?!” Despite the fact that I hate Yaoi with girly ukes anyway, this is the worst Yaoi and Hentai I’ve seen. This challenge was bad enough, so I doubt if I can take on the sequels. I feel really sick and completely lost my appetite.
If you read this full review and feel completely disgusted, don’t watch Boku no Pico! However, if you want to be gutsy, then good luck! read more

Ok, this anime is messed up in some many cases, people actually had to write and draw and even get paid for this piece of a crap anime and shouldn't even be called anime. First off, right off the bat the show shows a message stating that this is not child porno and does not support child porno. Let me tell you that is a load of crap there is no way, no frickin way that is not child porno. Secondly, no story, just gets straight to the butt fucking. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT WATCHING THIS SHOW. After finishing this horrid piece of crap called anime I felt like I need to put an egg beater to my eyes and kill myself for even putting myself through that horrible experience. read more

There was no plot to this at all, beside underage/pedophilia/perverted sex, I kept hoping to see some form of story line and was sadly mistaken.
The sound...well that comes along with the story line, I had to watch the whole 3 OVA's either with ear phones or my computer at sound 8 as otherwise my family would question what on earth I was watching.
There are no character developments at all, and all I got from them all was that they enjoyed sexual pleasure.
As much as I hate to admit though the art was not the worse I have seen, and as bad as the anime is, I.e. I would rather watch School days 3 times in a row then this once ever again, the art was alright.
To sum this up, avoid if possible. This was not an experience I would recommend to any one. Even if it is just to say "I watched this really messed up anime! here check it out!" read more

Story: There is no use in dressing this up as anything other than what it is, Boku no Pico is shota porn so if that's what you're into then this one is for you. There's no real story to it, there are a couple of very short scenes to string together the sex scenes but thats about it. If you're looking for something with substance this one is probably not for you & as a yaoi fan you might be happier with something like Sensitive Pornograph as there's more story in there to flesh out the sex scenes.
Art & Sound: There's nothing really wrong with these, it's been animated well so I wouldn't say anything against it on that front.
Character: It's too short to do any development, so the characters are fairly bland. There's no definitive personally traits to them, quite simply it's two little boys who 'experiment' with one another.
Overall enjoyment: Personally speaking, I am not a shota fan. I like yaoi but watching this made me feel dirty on the inside. There are things out there which are more disturbing than this, but because it had no real story to it, it just felt like a flagrant excuse for porn. What I would say is that if you're a yaoi fan who wants to see some simple sex scenes with a little story, then try Sensitive Pornograph instead. If you like younger boys but want something with more story than this has to offer, I'd suggest Enzai which I actually found quite enjoyable to watch. read more

The story of Boku no Pico is straightforward; a story of a young adult, Mokkun, who meets an androgynous lad named Pico. The premise of this is as generic as it sounds, and provides nothing new. With the coming of plot twists, there are numerous questions proposed. Unfortunately, the majority of these remained unanswered throughout the episode, making this a confusing watch. It’s blatantly obvious that the producers took the sex scenes as a higher priority to the plot. As a result of the severally flawed storytelling, Boku no Pico gives the impression of being an exploitation hentai. To an extent, this is true, but the character department may prove otherwise.
On the outside, characters in Boku no Pico seems to be devoid of any emotions other than lust. However, further analysis reveals complex emotions being displayed in a subtle manner. The cross-dressing Pico noticeably indicates that Mokkun is questioning his own sexuality. There is also fair share of symbolism. Although overused, the depiction of semen through ice cream is a good instance. A more delicately presented example is the usage of ice cubes to stimulate nerve cells, thus inducing the ultimate erotic sensations. While there are some interesting factors here and there, the vast majority of emotions displayed are underemphasised and unbefitting to the situation. The prevalent issue regarding hentai underlies in the character development. Just like condoms, characters are discarded and neglected. They simply ‘cum and go’. The same issue is present in Boku no Pico. Without any insight to his past or current status, Mokkun is nothing more than a disposable condom made to have sex with Pico.
Visually, Boku no Pico delivers. The character design for Pico combines his androgynousness with the boyish features of pre-pubescent boys. The result is a hermaphrodite that never fails to confuse my dick. For the most part, animation runs fluidly, and the ejaculation scenes are comical. Such instance is the car sex scene, where Pico’s semen splattered all over the car ceiling, the upholstery, and the windows. The Opening is a tasteless song that can be easily skipped, if it wasn’t for the badly choreographed soft-core scene that accompanied it. The voice acting is substandard and nothing out of the blues.
If a druggie gets HIV from an infected needle, and then complain about getting HIV. Obviously nobody’s going to console with them, since it’s their own damn fault. Same case with Boku no Pico. By now, you should be perfectly aware of what you’re getting yourself into. So if you’re a homophobe, but you still watch this and then start spewing crap about how revolting this hentai is… well, you can go stick a dildo up your arse.

There wasn't much of a plot, but the little-ness of an actual story was just amazing. I give it a 9.
10. The art was really detailed, and the shading was amazing. The characters were really cutely drawn.
The music was good, and the voices were great too. 9.
10. Pico was amazing, he is one of my favorite anime characters ever. Mokkun was pretty awesome too. I like Pico because he's cute, and really girly looking.
10. I really enjoyed this anime, and I think you should watch it. Unless you hate yaoi or shota. Other then that, EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH IT! read more

Boku no Pico is about a little boy named Pico whom possesses the personality of a generic schoolgirl, the shapely ass of a newborn baby, and the fashion sense of a call girl. This is the part where you stop watching. It's semi-illegal in most North American countries so it's kind of hard to find, and DEFINITELY not worth torrenting.
I love shota, but this anime is the very definition of "unwatchable", and for those of you reading this do yourselves a favor and stay away from it.

The love story between little androgynous boys Pico and "Mokkun" is absolutely innovative and heartwarming.
This series also explains complex themes such as gender identity and sexuality.
The art is on par with the greats and can be easily compared to the likes of Vincent Van Gogh.
Boku No Pico haven't changed anything on what I thought about anime and my "outlook on life as a whole", like some people state. It's just another Anime with yet another quite disturbing plot.
In closing, Boku No Pico is the greatest piece of entertainment I have ever enjoyed. I mean it's like on of-a-kind although I'm not ready to watch anything similar to this. By the way, I don't really like shota or Yaoi, I wonder how I managed to watch it all. read more

As others have stated, Boku no Pico is a shotacon hentai movie... Therefore, there's not really much of a plot to speak of outside of the basic premise. Tomatsu (who is mostly referred to as "Mokkun" by Pico) is on summer vacation when he meets Pico, an incredibly feminine little boy. Pico doesn't have any friends, so Tomatsu takes him out for ice cream. During this outing, they begin to their sexual relationship, which pretty much sums up the rest of the OVA.
It's pretty difficult to give any opinions on the plot when the vast majority of it is adult/shota yaoi. However, I felt that the relationship was incredibly difficult to believe... Tomatsu, in particular, was so bland, I had trouble believing that he was attracted to Pico at all. He didn't come across as gay or a pedophile, in my opinion. I know that it's a hentai movie, so the character's motives weren't the main focus, but I think it would have helped if there was a little more chemistry between them.
There is a bit of conflict toward the end, though, saying that it's a "bit" is an understatement. Pico asks Tomatsu what their relationship means to him, and Tomatsu was unable to answer. However, this was resolved without even a conversation between them, in favor to give us another sex scene in the last five minutes. Honestly, I thought that this last part was pretty unneeded, and it did nothing but make the OVA longer than it should have been.
There's really not much you can say about the art style, as it was drawn in a pretty standard anime style. There was nothing particularly special about it. The character designs weren't anything special, either. Tomatsu looked like your typical anime character, and Pico looked more like a girl than a boy. (I did like how Pico looked when he cut his hair toward the end... He looked much cuter in boy clothes.) One thing that I did find odd about the art, though, was the depiction of semen; it appeared much more solid than it should have. I'm not sure if that's common in hentai or not, but I found it odd anyway.
As with the art, there's not much you can say about the sound. I felt that the voice acting was pretty boring... Pico's voice really annoyed me, and Tomatsu sounded as typical as he looked. The opening and ending songs were both the same, and they were both pretty dull. Not memorable in the slightest. I did find the sound effects to be incredibly strange, though... The sound for eating ice cream, kissing, and having sex were all the same. Again, this is probably a typical hentai problem, but I found them really weird and sort of gross to listen to.
I've already touched upon the characters in the story, so I don't need to go into too much detail here. The characters, like the rest of this OVA were incredibly generic. You have Tomatsu, who is your stereotypical anime male in every way, shape, and form, and you have Pico, who is quite confusing to figure out. I say he's confusing because he doesn't seem to have a consistant personality... He's shy and "easily flustered" one minute, then somewhat outgoing the next, having no problems with asking "Mokkun" for ice cream then proceeding to lick it off his shirt in a seductive manner. He's equally as inconsistant during the sex, somtimes asking for more and sometimes begging Tomatsu to stop. Still, he's pretty streotypical, so his flactuating personality comes off as inconsistant than mysterious.
I was not shocked or offended by Boku no Pico... In fact, my reaction was quite the opposite. I found the whole thing to be incredibly boring, with nothing interesting to provoke any reaction other than indifference. Everything that was done in Boku no Pico has been done before, and in much better ways. I honestly don't recommend it to anyone... It was just too dull for words. read more

Well, first off, this is bad - really bad. I mean, it's hentai so this isn't a surprise, but this was the first hentai (and probably the last) that I ever watched. There's barely any story. Characters are weird as ever. It's just impossible to say how bad this anime is. Everything that you assume happens in this anime does indeed happen. I assure you. It's weird. It's creepy. It's everything that you hear people say about it.
The only good things I can say about this anime is that the art and sound is pretty good. Of course, I have yet to come across an anime that doesn't achieve this.
Now some might wonder why I rated this a 10, instead of a 1. Well, I rate anime based on what it achieves in its genre. I rate comedy by how much it makes me laugh. I rate horror by how scary it is. I rate action by the amount of action. The list goes on and on. While I did not enjoy this anime at all, it does what its genre, hentai, is meant to do. For people who love hentai, you will surely love this. I promise you. For me, I never want to watch another one of these hentai-themed anime ever again. read more

I read all of the reviews for this anime, and honestly, I was very skeptical about watching it. I've been meaning to get to it for a year or so, but I kept putting it off. Should have kept it that way. But nooo, I couldn't just stop there, because this thing called morbid curiosity rears its ugly head every single time. Graphic shotacon revolts me. That should have been enough to keep my away from this, but I wanted to see with my own eyes how bad it really was. Or, whether it was awful or not in the first place. That's just how I am.
Why, oh WHY did I watch this?
A minute into the theme song, I was already annoyed. One minute later, I had progressed to revolted, and by the time I was ten minutes into the video, I felt a near uncontrollable urge to TURN IT OFF. Sixteen minutes comes: random guy picks Pico up. Pico abruptly leaves with him immediately. And the grandfather...says absolutely nothing about it. AT ALL.
That was when I did turn it off. I've seen some really awful yaoi, but never before have I found myself unable to finish it. This is even more disturbing than Enzai. Honestly. That's pretty bad when it was about the main character getting raped every five minutes.
Unless you're into older men taking advantage of very young boys, stay as far away from this as possible. It is plain to see that there is no semblance of a story here at all. read more

Boku No Pico is clearly a masterpiece, directed by Katsuyoshi Yatabe (who's name I totally didn't copy out of Wikipedia).
The Story and Characters:
The Story, just like the characters, are both an obvious 10/10.
The original, brilliant story is full of symbolism and hidden meanings and has to be rewatched at least 5-16 times to be truly understood. It starts with our main protagonist, Pico who is a young, dynamic nudist and works at his grandfather's caffe out of pure altruism. His grandfather, by the way is ingeniously named "Ojiisan" what is japanese for grandfather.
Anyways, one day a very childfriendly (VERY childfriendly) costumer named Tamotsu "befriends" Pico, at first mistaking our young protagonist for a girl.
Tamotsu immediately consents to look after our lead, Pico. Here is where the series first shows it's high, interpretive nature. The authors wanted to make a clear reference to the increasingly thin social system of contemporary society. The grandfather, who symbolizes the aging population and the result of demographic problems of the developed countries, as well as Pico, whose volunteer work for his grandpa and voluntary assistant in whose operation is to encourage the youth to comply with the contract between generations and social levels and old people whose standard of living, in addition to the pension ago only be ensured by further work to extend the helping hand.
Tamotsu, a stranger who cares about the little boy wants to show the audience the importance of devotion and affection of adults for children, openly criticizing the education system, which calls attention to the fact that the youth is our future.
As Tamotsu and Pico sit in a car, Tamotsu shows the young lad that it is bad to waste food, even if it's just one ice cream cone. Distracting the boy in every imaginable way and punishing him when he drops the ice cream, this anime shows us the problems of hunger in the world and the lack of supply Third World countries.
I will start with the outstanding art now, since I don't want to spoil more of this deep and beautiful story, that the anime Boku No Pico has to offer.
Just like the story, the animation deserves an obvious 10/10:
This magnificent, profound story is supported by the high quality animation, brought to us by studio Natural High.
Different then in low-budget productions like for example anything Kyoto Animation or Studio Madhouse ever did, they showed us the typical wardrobe you would see on an eight year old boy.
In the few scenes where you see the characters naked, one is overwhelmed by the juvenile, bodies and perfect anatomy. The movements, usually in the pelvic region, are high above average. There are found no still images and repetitions.
Sound is also 10/10:
The voice acting is brilliant, every character has a perfect voice. There is no english dub available sadly, but I hope there will be some day. The opening is probably one of my favorites of all time.
There is not much more to say in the sound department.
Boku No Pico is an anime for the whole family, showing you morals for young and old.
Most kids will not understand most of the symbolism, but it is still a very enjoyable show for everyone.
Boku no Pico is a superior blend of genres. The comedy portion of the series was so hilarious: the word games with Cocos name made me laugh days after seeing this OVA. In addition, we have the drama part that made me cry more then any show ever did before. Will Chico's sister come home before Chico and Pico are done with games? Will Coco and the two guys ever be able to settle their differences? These questions kept me on the edge of the seat through most of the show.
Boku No Pico is probably the best anime ever, no the best piece of film ever.
It has better animation then Attack on Titan, a deeper story then 2001, is funnier then the Simpsons, and is overall just a masterpiece you have to see for yourself. read more

Okay, so compared to other romance stories, this one falls a little short, however keeping in mind that this story is only a single episode to introduce the characters and develop their touching relationship; I’d say that it did a fairly good job.
There isn’t much to comment on when it comes to the art, it doesn’t stand out from other series’, but it’s not bad either.
Same as the Art this is pretty standard, although I’d like to comment on how it’s rare that a lone OVA has an opening so I was impressed with this, it was a fairly good opening too, the song is catchy.
This is where the show lacks some, although it is no fault of its own, there simply isn’t enough time in a single episode to give detailed backstory on several characters, and the character development is also limited, however they managed to pull off a romance with extremely basic backstory, which allowed for a majority of the episode to go towards character development.
On the whole I will have to say that this is mediocre, it was an okay for what short time they had to fit it in, however it pales in comparison to romance anime such as Romeo x Juliet, and Chobits, but if I was to compare it to 24 episode shows then that would be unfair, so I’ll leave it as being mediocre.
Alright, so overall I will have to give this anime a 5/10, it is the definition of mediocre, and it’s far from terrible, but also lacks depth, although it cannot help that. I would say that this show is definitely worth a watch, since at only 30 minutes long, it is not time consuming in the least, the only warning is this anime contains some ecchi scenes as well as a handful of nudity, but that only helps show how intimate these two lovers are.
