Peace had seemed to return to the world when Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris had saved the planet from the Luna Attack with their song. However, 3 months later at a joint concert between Tsubasa Kazanari and foreign superstar Maria Cadenzavna Eve, the Symphogear team is faced with her dangerous declaration of war against the world. Maria and her allies Kirika and Shirabe have a fearful power backing them: The power of a dark Symphogear.

Okay, gather around and hear the song of my people. The two top reviews for this are a 5 and a 6? What in this show is a 5 or 6? Not a single damn thing.

"Musical Bitches Symphogear", as it's named on my PC, was one of my most complex human-anime relationships. On one hand, it was helmed by the man who brought me Wild Arms, my favorite RPG series of all time, and some of the people behind Oban Star Racers, one of my all time favorite pieces of animation. On the other hand, it was a hastily-made, awkward and janky show that had read more

If you've watched the first season of Symphogear then you have a good idea of what to expect from this series; poorly developed characters, a completely bonkers plot, bad drama, bizarre plot twists and general all round silliness. However whilst that may be the case, this series is superior to its predecessor in several key areas, making it a significantly more enjoyable watch. In fact, whilst this series still suffers from the multitude of flaws and failures of the first season, there is the possibility that you may even enjoy it.

The visuals are far more consistent than they were before, there will be no scenes read more

When people usually think of idols, the first thing they might come up in their mind is someone who is talented, skilled, and viewed as a symbol of icon. Well, this usually applies to superstars in the music industry. In fact, people who become famous in the real world are often idols that others worship and follow as a legion. However, the concept doesn’t just stop there, not in Symphogear G at least. The superstars in Symphogear G aren’t just armed with talent but also with super powers as they take the fight against a mysterious force that threatens to wipe out their existence.

lol, I could care less for the dogpile of deus ex machina that comprises the story itself but damn this show is sexy! buy the blu-rays they come with awesome extras lol!

Story 7/10
Well, maybe the most entertaining part about watching the show is to come up with some sharp comeback for every shit that happens *cough*hibiki's past why did you just make it up!*cough* but that's what makes it so great anyway. The story flow seems to be much smoother compared to the 1st season. Every episode leaves you with a cliffhanger so you'll want to know what happens next. Also, a lot of the read more

Anime: Choujigen Game Neptune The Animation
Girls, transforms, colorful graphics...
reportRecommended by TheTuhafsama
Anime: Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's
In both shows, magical girls from rival groups battle each other. Both anime also contain sci-fi elements. (Keep in mind they're both second seasons to their respective series)
reportRecommended by Noodle070
Anime: Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru
Both include magical girls, with cute transformations, trying to save the world from evil. Many of the characters have similar characteristics; For example Hibiki (szs gx) and Yuuna both have powerful punches along with the sense of always wanting to protect people in a heroic way

Anime: Vividred Operation
Symphogear g is definitely similar to Vivired opeation. Both series:
-use techology based /mecha- abilities in order to fight evil.
-the power of friendship goes without saying as well as the transformation sequences.
All these result into epic fighting sequences. Make sure to give it try.
reportRecommended by CureBubble
Anime: Mai-Otome
Symphogear G is very similar to Mai Otome as both series have girls using the power of technology in order to fight evil. In Symphogear G the power comes from signing and old artifacts while in Mai Otome from a special substance that is injected in your body on the condition that you are a woman.
Either way both anime are bassed on the mecha/technology elements in order to acquire power and fight.
reportRecommended by CureBubble
Anime: Digimon Xros Wars: Toki wo Kakeru Shounen Hunter-tachi
both show has the same number of hero and rival, 3 vs 3
Taiki was a legend before the first episode of this show, so does Kazanari Tsubasa
Yuu and Yukine were previously an antagonist that had brainwashed by the main villain, and in their sequel, they both took the same role as a supporting character
Tagiru (so does Gumdramon) and Hibiki are so stubborn and both have so much guts for being a main protagonist
