SynopsisMeimi Haneoka, 14, is a normal girl during the daytime, but during the night, she assumes the "position" of Saint Tail, a modern-day Robin Hood who steals from thieves and gives items back to their original owners. She is aided by her friend, Seira Mimori, a nun-in-training, and she is chased by her classmate (and soon-to-be love interest), Daiki Asuka (often called "Asuka Jr.").

If you're looking for a good cops and robbers / cat and mouse anime like Lupin the 3rd, keep looking - because even though this series is about a thief and a detective trying to catch her, the robberies aren't really what you will watch out for. In fact, I would describe Saint Tail as a love story or romance anime extended over 43 episodes. The thefts are merely a backdrop to the developing romance between Meimi Haneoka and Asuka Jr.
Meimi, of course, is Saint Tail and the young detective trying to catch her is her classmate Asuka Jr. You'll have to suspend your disbelief with this one as one impossibility after another keep Saint Tail out of the cops' grasp. And another thing - it's not as if she actually hurt anybody. Who will persecute someone who steals somebody's running shoes and return them to the original owner, anyway?
But as I said, you won't really dwell that much on the robberies. Like me, you'll probably get hooked on Meimi and Asuka Jr. and waiting for the moment that Asuka Jr. finally catches Saint Tail. Lighthearted and cute, this anime is definitely one of my favorite classics. read more

Well... What can I say? This anime is my most recent obsession... Basically, I love it! It was so cute! I loved Asuka and Meimi's relationship....! It was so cute........ This really reminded me of Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne though. They both are Kaitos, or theives. They both pray to god! They both have cute couples! They both know someone who is trying to catch them! So similar....wow! Anyway, i love this anime! I think anyone who watches it will too! This anime will steal your heart! tee hee....

Both are about stealing and love.

I have always found these shows to be similar. Both steal for the sake of god, and to help people. both have crazy female characters who want to catch the main character. and both shows have romances between people who shouldn't know the main character's identity. They're both very good shows :)
The whole thing is almost the same. The mai character has a secret the she is a super theif who steals things for good rather that bad. They are both being followed by the police closely, and are close with the child of the main police officer. And they have the typical magical girl transformations.

Kaitou Saint Tail and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne are two much alike animes.
The main character is a girl and a thief with another identity as a kaitou than normal.
One classmate trying to capture the kaitou self.
Both revolve alot around the God subject etc...
Both contain romance, drama, adventure, Shoujo and more romance..
If you like one you'll love the other..
If you haven't seen either, Both are highly recommended..
KKJ is like the newer version of St. Tail.
Both girls steal in the name of god. The roles are a little mixed-up but they are all classmates: The best friend in St. Tail is a nun-in-training that helps her, and in KKJ she is the detective. The boy in St. Tail is the detective while in KKJ he is the competition.^^
I heard Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne was a remake of the anime Saint Tails. Plots same, Girl same powers, both recarnation, but one difference was that, the guy in Saint tails was the son of the dectective instead of the anime Jeanne, it was a girl.

If you liked Kaitou Saint Tail, then you might enjoy Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne because obviously the creator of KKJ "borrowed" some ideas of Saint Tail. So, yeah, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne is a rip-off of Kaitou Saint Tail.
Both revolve around stealing ... but not for yourself but for others and religion (kind of). Of course there's love and transformation too. A person that want to capture the thief, in Kaito Saint Tail the love interest and in Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne the best friend of the thief.
Both are about an average girl that turns to a thief. And the both have romance.
