Synopsis

When Gintoki apprehends a movie pirate at a premiere, he checks the camera's footage and finds himself transported to a bleak, post-apocalyptic version of Edo, where a mysterious epidemic called the "White Plague" has ravished the world's population. It turns out that the movie pirate wasn't a pirate after all—it was an android time machine, and Gintoki has been hurtled five years into the future! Shinpachi and Kagura, his Yorozuya cohorts, have had a falling out and are now battle-hardened solo vigilantes and he himself has been missing for years, disappearing without a trace after scribbling a strange message in his journal.

Setting out in the disguise given to him by the android time machine, Gintoki haphazardly reunites the Yorozuya team to investigate the White Plague, and soon discovers that the key to saving the future lies in the darkness of his own past. Determined to confront a powerful foe, he makes an important discovery—with a ragtag band of friends and allies at his side, he doesn't have to fight alone.

Well, well, well, if it isn't Gintama Movie 2, the movie that had me laughing so hard, I almost spilled my tea. Let me break it down for you in terms of story, style, main characters, music, and enjoyment experience.

Firstly, the story was as wacky and nonsensical as ever, and that's exactly what we love about Gintama. It had me scratching my head at times, but in a good way. The plot twists were unexpected, and the ending left me feeling satisfied.

As for the style, Gintama's trademark blend of comedy, action, and drama was on full display. The animation was top-notch, and the fight scenes ...

Ah yes, finally a Gintama entry that actually stands out from the usual stuff. The second movie is an original story showing the Gintama cast after... after. Well first there's a bit about piracy that was enjoyable on an ironic level.

Afterwards the story starts, and it's a pretty nice story featuring time travel. Not a proper time travel story like Steins;Gate which takes its time to explain the mechanics of the device rather than simply using it to advance the plot. You get to see the cast 5 years later if that's what you're into. Personally, never really enjoyed epilogues but in this situation it ...

Mixed Feelings
Gintama Movie 2- Be Forever Yorozuya

Gintama has won many hearts with his humorous and charismatic manner. And Gintama's second film had it all again.

The lovable and personable characters, the music, the stupid ingenious humor, and the wonderful urge to parody everything possible.

I can't deny it, the film got off to a very strong start. The characters and the quality of the humor have been worthy of the series.
Again, this film tried to be extremely serious from the middle and presented a mediocre plot. Gintama can't just stop doing it.

As you already know, Gintama is practically unbeatable when it comes to comedy interludes. Gintama is also ...
