Well, the main storyline is more or less different, but the way the characters are drawn very similarly, as well as action scenes and blood. Also Blood+ is a dark anime and so is Claymore, so it would be good for those who like/love dark anime (sorry for stating the obvious....) Anyway both of them have very deep storylines so I thought that people who like Blood+ would like this, because I think of Claymore when I think of Blood+.
These two series have so many similarities that each of them can be considered an "alternate" version of the other... They're both top-notch anime series, so I'd say watch them both and witness the similarities for yourself
Both feature girls/women who has a hack-n'-slash fest, killing monsters with their swords.
Blood+ has some similar elements to Claymore, such as the relationship between a helpless "brother"/"sister" and a cold-blooded killer of the opposite gender, that greatly sways either person's actions during the course of the show. In a sense , it's partially Claymore in reverse, here the purebreds go after the half breeds, but what matches these two up the most would be the high level of action, gore and dark mood that stays overcast most of the time. You'll probably understand once you start watching it.
the girl w/ the blood of the monster their killing, sounds familliar is it?
Hot kick-ass girls with big swords chopping up monsters!!!
it has fighting scenes, protecting someone, fighting monsters, and others things you like in them:)
Girl as the protagonist who fight bunch of monsters.
Blood+ and Claymore have something in common, and that is both are killing off monsters. They are both dark and gory. Blood+ has a longer story than Claymore but nonetheless they are still jampacked with blood spilling monster slashing scenes.
they both portray women who fight abominations that live off human flesh or blood warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! violent anime but cool ha ha
love the action shows women who can kick ass!^^
both bloody anime and both main char of the story weilds a sword. basicly the same... saya vs chiopterans ... and clare vs Yoma's but claymore has more blood sheds and more violence compared to blood+
Both series are full of blood and female characters that are very skilled with sharp metal objects ;)
It has monsters and killing/blood as well.
Monsters fighting monsters. Sword wielding female protagonist fighting very bloody battles against the grotesque as she tries to discover herself and protect what's important to her. Lots of blood, dismemberment and decapitations, mixed in with some camaraderie and family bonds.
"OMGZ THEY ARE BOTH GIRLS WHO ARE NOT FULLY HUMAN AND BOTH HAVE SWORDS AND KICK THE SHIT OUT OF MONSTERS OMG RUN ON SENTENCES NO PUNCTUATION!"
- Almost every 16 year old with a keyboard in America.
However, there's some truth to the above statement but I'd like to get into Blood+. If you really liked Blood+ and thought the story was riveting, loved the gore and the fight scenes, and loved Saya as a bad ass monster killing female main character, then you'll absolutely LOVE Claymore. Now, what I said about Blood+ is giving it a little too much credit. Don't get me wrong, I liked the show, but I just felt that Saya didn't take charge enough for me(at least till the end) and I cringed at a lot of the dialog. There was also just way many too cliche moments and typical "feel good story" music during the first half of the series. It's at least underwhelming for an anime with an R rating.
Claymore's R rating on the other hand is well deserved. It is WAY more violent and bloody than Blood+ and the langue is a lot more coarse as well. Claire and Saya both come into their own a bit midway into the shows but Claire has a lot more depth to her in my opinon and is a lot more entertaining. Both girls are trying to rid the world of monsters, even though they are both types of monsters themselves.
All and all, If you liked Blood+ and don't mind a shorter series with more violence and swearing, then chances are you'll love Claymore. If you watched Claymore first and are expecting a lot from Blood+, chances are you'll be let down a bit, but will still enjoy the series.
Action packed, gory, strong female lead characters, and story driven. Both use swords and are related to mythical beasts.
Both anime have a lot of blood, monsters, and fighting.
Same kind of plot evolvement and just as good
These two series are like siblings with many similarities that can be drawn upon.
Both Claymore and Blood+ involves a lot of action dealing with the supernatural specifically demons. The main female protagonist (who both have skills in swordsmanship) in both series are literally weapons with extraordinary abilities. The only thing that keeps them from going insane are their companions. Additionally, both series' main female protagonist also has a dark past that is filled with tragedies and sorrow.
Both series also involves organizations with their own purposes and enemies with dark ambitions..
Both series contain action, drama, blood, gore, and gets darker and darker as more episodes progresses; a pleasing series to the audience into the darker side of the hack-and-slash genre.
While every show is unique in their own way, Claymore and Blood+ have a myriad of similarities that will make a fan of one show, a fan of the other. For starters, both shows revolve around the concept of monsters that consume flesh and blood. They are painted as evil, but in both shows the main characters are also connected to these vicious monsters they seek to kill. The connection is genetics though it is applied differently for each show. Besides that main concept, both shows involve powerful heroines who wield swords. They develop in different paths, as one show is about remembering one’s identity while the other is vengeance. Both shows are hack and slash, though Claymore is by far more violent, bloody and intense. Dire injuries are inflicted regularly as many monsters and people are killed, while Blood+ takes the killing down a notch. Blood+ also has weaker moments when it comes to killing due to the dialogue, but I found myself able to look passed that due to the differences in the atmosphere of each show.
If you are going from Blood+ to Claymore, a more aggressive and intense show awaits you, while the transition from Claymore to Blood+ can be a letdown only if you thrive on scenes filled with gore. The length of Blood+ is wonderful as Claymore is shorter and deviates from the manga at the end absolutely destroying the show for manga readers. Either way, if you are a fan of one show, you will most likely be a fan of the other as the action in both are very entertaining.
Protagonist are both vampire like monsters
Main characters are genetically evolved and use swords
Genres are horror and dark action
Goal: Rid the world of the evil monsters
Character abilities: supernatural strength and speed

Blood+ and Elfen Lied deal with the definition of what it means to be human and humane. In both cases, a super-evolved species represented by an apparently frail female lead, presents a menace to mankind. Yet humanity is to be blamed for much of the violence that follows. While EL is occasionally borderline ecchi and Blood+ maintains a very serious tone through and through, both series are emotionally-moving exercises that allow emotional bonds to be forged, despite the deeply violent world-scape they present.
Girl protagonists who kill a lot and spill a lot of blood. Both are poignant and moving throughout, with deep emotional struggles and bonds all over the place. Both have mutated human beings who take the role of bad guys pose a threat to humankind as a whole.
well their both horror and have lots of blood in them....their story seems to differ but im sure if you like one of them you'll like the other one to < 3
Blood +, like Elsfen Leid, has alot of blood (look at the name XD).
they has similar subjects like supernatural, Sci-Fi, the undead cretures and more...
those two also has a similiar endings, they both ends with many things unfinished.
Both have lots of blood, fights, and violence.
In both anime, the main character is a girl who literally becomes another person when killing, even though Saya, on the opposite of Lucy, has not exactly a split personality.
Both are dramatic and sad, prepare the tissues.
Also, the story of the Schiffs , created by humans, used as killing machines, and then getting eliminated because too troublesome, really reminds of the Diclonius.
Both are absolutely worth watching.
The story line is fairly similar; both main characters have a kind of split personality and powers that awaken due to a series of events where they learn about themselves and secret organisations going on around them.
These shows teach lessons without you knowing it. You learn to love one that may not be like others. These shows are amazing, but not for all eyes to see.
Bloody, Dramatic, Just Like Elfen Lied.
And Pretty Disturbing.
Just Like Elfen Lied...
-.-
Both of them are animes with a lot of violence and with great plot behind.
The main character in both of these animes are Female. Both of which are extremely violent and gory. In other words, at one point of their lives they could be considered 'killing machines' for their actions.
Both also have a double sided personality. The one that people adore and the other, which is blood craving.
Anyhow- there's a lot of action and fighting scenes! There's also a bit of romance here and there. If you liked Blood Plus, you're almost guaranteed to enjoy watching Elfen Lied.
Lots and lots of blood spilling.
Both Anime are revolved around different species that are used for war and most of the problems throught the two stories are caused by humans.
Elfen Lied and Blood+ details two series that are violently driven involving powerful evolved species that becomes a menace to society. They become dangers not only to others but to themselves as well.
As such, both series features a lot of violence and gore with the main female lead being the center of it all.
Both series has emotional back stories that tells the sad side of the main characters involving tragedy.
Both series overall have a dark and serious tone that brings out a violent but also tragic story.

Both relate to a quest to defeat blood-sucking beings (Vampires) in order to make of the world a better place for everyone.
kind like not hellsing but with different type off vampires and equally great story
Action, blood, a fight for a better and safer world, and of course, vampires galore!
Well because this also has loads of fights like Blood+ and its bloody too!! The reason for the fights is same in these animes!!
Both shows deal with vampires. Both shows have main characters who have siblings in the opposing faction. Both of them vow to defeat their siblings so that there would be no more harm. Both of them doubt about themselves until they eventually accept who they are.
o.O both are kinda related with *blood word*..also they are quite similar for me
Both are abut vampires trinity blood is more serious and the drawings are better while blood+ is entertaining but the plot isnt too good and somewhat similar to elfen lied.
They're both action anime with vampires.
There's a lot of action, blood sucking creatures, and some romance on the side. Something everyone loves!
If ur a fan of bloody animes and vampire like beings than WATCH both Trinity Blood & Blood+.
Killing bloodsucking creatures and keeping them from causing other harm. That's what both anime are about. This comes with the necessary amount of violence and bloodshed of course. The characters and the context of the anime differ tho. Also, Trinity Blood is more serious while Blood+ has more drama. Nevertheless, if you like vampires, action and bloodshed. Go watch this show!
The main character in both stories is vampire, they fight their own kin to safe human race from doom.they belief that human and vampire can live together in harmony but some vampire think human is just only food to consume.
They Both are vampire type show , and I think they Are Very great show to watch
Action, supernatural, vampires. Main characters fighting against bad vampires, bloody scenes.

Romance, vampires, and lost memories for the female protagonist, who ends up having a more important role than first glance.
Both share a similar female/male lead that must dance around the concept of immortality and vampirism in their exploration of each others' feelings.
Besdies the obvious association of creatures needing blood to survive, Blood+ and Vampire Knight also both follow the plot of self-sacrifice to protect those you love.
Fully recommend you watch Vampire Knight...touching.
Both have to do with Vampires. Main character is a female. Vampire living in a human world trying to make things right for their own reasons. There's a bit of romance in Blood + , but not as much as Vampire Knight. Main character doesn't remember their past in the first few episodes. -Turning others into Vampires :]
Both deal with vampires and both deal with love. They have good fighting scenes between their enemies and each have an evil person within their family who is trying to get them killed. If you are into bloody romances and killing, basically a trilling anime that will keep you on the edge of your seat, please do watch it and enjoy it ^^
both are kinda dark/kinda goth, have a thrilling plot, and have a main character who doesn't have memories of their past :D
Both are similar in the way that:
there is a young girl, who lost her memory as a vampire/monster, and a romantic type of man comes into the picture to protect her, yet she also falls in love with another person who is close to her.
the only difference is Blood + has more action.
Both anime's have vampires, action, and romance. They also both have good character development and story lines, and you can't help but fall for one or more of the characters. If you enjoy one you'll most likely enjoy the other!
Both animes are 'dark'. Yuuki and Saya have a past that they can't remember because it was sealed. In the series they discover their true natures and help battle evil. In blood+ the main focus is on the plot and the battles. Saya's feelings slowly develop throughout the story. Meanwhile in Vampire Knight Yuuki knows her feelings from the beginning and Kaname knows his as well. Dark pasts, shocking secrets and emotional struggles. There is no better recommendation for Vampire Knight or Blood+.

Check out blood + if you enjoyed black blood brothers. Both revolve around fights and vampires.
Do you like the dark vampire anime series like Blood+? Then you should definitely try Black Blood Brothers. The brothers are just like Saya, and it is worth watching.
Both Vampires and both kick ass and take names!
AMAZING. that is pretty much all there is to say about this it is my FAVOURITIEST anime of all time the charachters are amazing the artwork is 9/10 but eyerthing else 16/10
Both involve vampires and action. Like Blood+ Black blood involve a deep story line spanning many years. Both involve the hunting down of monsters, Blood+ is chiroptera, and Kowlon children in black blood. Both man characters also have a complicated past
The theme of vampires, blood, and action comes into play in both series. As such Blood+ and Black Blood Brothers are two titles that are quite similar:
Both series has the supernatural theme involving vampires and vampire hunters.
The main characters also has a dark history related to other characters.
Both have a darker story as the episodes progresses.
Overall, watch these two if you're interested into some vampire action.

Violence, drama and love. Emotionally deep female leads.
In both anime the main characters are twins (Diva & Saya/Aya & Aki).
Aya=Saya. Apart from having almost the same name, both are average schoolgirls who have a power within them and become another person when angered or in danger. Both are also pretty hesitant and annoying at times.
Toya=Haji. The emotionless, cold, non-human guy in love with the main girl, he's basically her bodyguard and lives only for her.
Yuuhi=Kai. The good guy, also in love with the main girl, but with no chance to succeed, he's loved in return by another girl.
In both you'll find love triangles, blood, gore, action, bishounen, romance, drama, scientists, doctors, experiments.
They have also a few more themes in common, such as memory loss, science, pregnancy, "incest", and family bounds.
Both can be considered reverse harem anime, Blood+ is just a zillion times better than Ayashi No Ceres.
the love triangle between Haji, Saya and Kai reminds me a lot of the love triangle between Touya, Aya and Yuuhi. And I hate the final pairing in both anime
Similar sort of framework (female lead, special powers, hopes to help others from an evil she indirectly causes because of her lineage), but I preferred Blood+ on almost every front to Ayashi.
Girl turned 16 and family suddently turned into enemies. Man from unknow world (and distant past) come rescue. Seach and eventually find her destiny.

Swords, monsters and blood!
Both the series have same things, but Blood+ is so much better! If you liked Tokko, you must see Blood+ (and Blood: The Last Vampire, related to it).
they're both great anime which has lots of blood and violence. Also they have demons that they go around killing so that they could save the world.
both invole hunting demon like creatures and tons of action. A great anime that has lots of blood and good fighting scenes.
Blood+ and TOKKO's story lines are very similar( blood, gore, slicing things etc.).
Both titles comes off as violent anime series involving action, drama, gore, and other tragedies.
Both series' main protagonist's lives completely change after certain circumstances and are now realizes that they may never go back the way it was before.
Both series have supernatural elements involving demons which brings forth the violence and gore.

If you love vampire anime, this won't disappoint you :)
Both are about a quest to destroy vampires, by using vampires
And they both have the same kind of dark feeling to it.
Vampires in modern age... done as such that oozes style.
Both are about powerful vampires cooperating with organizations that specialize in killing vampires. The main antagonists are also engaged in mass producing vampires and are part of powerful vampire organizations.
Both anime are about killing bloodsucking monsters (vampires) to keep the world safe from those evil creatures. Both anime got the regularly dose of action, violence and bloodshed. So if you like those vampire based action anime, I'd say watch this.

Both are centered around an undead girl who fights other undead creatures. Both have a boy with a connection to the girl as their lead. Both have disappointing action scenes and kind of a cheesy aura of sadness hanging over the girl, with the boy sort of having this attitude of wanting to save her.
They look really alike because in the two case there is a girl who isn't really human. The two of them also have to kill some strange monster and they have a boy without power who support them.
They're both alike with how both of the main characters are girls who have to destory/fight monsters; also, both of the monsters in them are like vampires too. Ouri and Kai are the same really, bystanders who get casted off to the side because they're "useless", per say. I found that while watching Shikabane Hime: Aka, it had some rather simliar aspects to Blood+, with the vampire(-like) concept and the fact of the "living dead."
Very similar in the fighting styles. Both women have something in common even though one is a vampire creature and the other is a dead killer they are fighting for the common good. There is a level of mystery in both and they are both actually very decent anime.

If you like fullmetal alchemist then I promise u will get stuck through every episode of this anime. Just like fullmetal alchemist, characters are well developed and there are no fillers. In fma we have Chimeras and in blood+ Chiropterans. Chiropterans are undead monster with the ability to disguise themselves as human. They live by feeding on peoples' blood. There is a secret organization called the Red Shield that exists to hunt down the Chiropterans.
[or vice-versa] Both animes deal with a little bit of a "gore" theme and center between teens who have abilities/characteristics unique from others. Both series also imply the importance of family, acquaintances, and life xD (the main characters of each series have their family the antagonist! kewl)
Not completely the same, but they're both really good. There's fighting scenes that must be seen. Blood+ is definitely a lot more bloody than Fullmetal Alchemist, but in the end both characters are fighting for something that they want to accomplish.
Epic storyline, epic characters, everything's pretty original in its own right. Anime's a similar length too.

Most of these anime's elements are the same. The only differences are mainly the time, country, and weapons used. These Anime both are about demonic outbreaks that only need to be resolved by te main character who has mastered the power to controll the demonic side of him/her.
Aham.
I will be short and exact.
In "Blood+" the main character Saya Oronashi and her brothers Kai and Riku Myagusku have a happy life.
But in a day Saya descover the truth about her person:she's the own hope of humanity.
Her blood is the single weapon that can combat Chiropters, the monsters created with her twin's blood,Diva.
In the end,she destroy her sister and keep her sister's babies, saving the world.
But during the first episodes, some of her memories and actions are completley full of blood.
Watch it!
The animation on Blassreiter leaves a little to be desired, but the stories are similar. The lone hero fights against the injustice of their own kind to save humans. In both cases the hero's story is where it all began.
Both are action series with a darker tone to them, and both focus more on characters and are more character-driven than what normal action series tend to do
D.Gray Man has many similarities, such as an order who kills monsters, unique weapons and so on.
When I started watching Blood+, the first thing that came to my mind was D.Gray Man but in a different setting. Both have two parties, the good guys and the bad guys. They both have in common an organization which fights off the antagonists. Another noticeable similarity is the 'monsters' even though they're different, they both are dangerous to humanity and humans can also turn into these 'monsters'.
Girl with a Sword fighting off evil monster that attack humankind, struggling with the truth and loved ones around her. In my eyes its almost exactly like Ga-Rei: Zero. You could almost call them sisters.
Both series consists of fighting the supernatural (among them demons) with the art of swordsmanship.
The main female protagonist in both series are strong and possesses extraordinary abilities but also harbors a dark past.
Both series contain themes of tragedy, drama, action, and emotions later on.
From the sword fighting, monster killing to the theme of family and the bond between sisters. If you thought Ga-Rei:Zero wasn't enough I would recommend you check Blood + out
Similar in atmosphere and mystic.
Semi-emotionless guy protecting someone important to him.
Luka and Haji both not human and can be considered 'evil' but are fighting for good.
Yuki and Saya both dont want to get involved at first but do in the end so they can help protect people. Both also cant remember past times but gradually regain memories
Blood+ seems to have a darker atmosphere and is generally the better creation but both are good :)
Both about a promise made with someone in the past and both Saya (Blood+) and Yuki (Uragiri....) have lived in the past and had reborn/awaken again now in the present and don't remember their past life. They both fight monsters....
Many people have the same character in particular is very similar to the relationship hagixsaja- sebastianxciel
Same masterxservant relationship is implied. In Blood Plus, there's a queen and her knight who protects her with his life. In Kuroshitsuji, there's an earl and his butler who ALSO protects him with his life. Both are dark themed and historical.
Demons, butlers, slice of life, mystery, super powers

bleach and blood plus r the same because:
1. bolth have lots of blood and violence
2.bolth have bad creatures(blood+ creepy monsters, bleach hollows)
3.lots of sword play
i hope u check them out.thank you.
Blood+ has a lot of more Gore, but both can be really entertaining to watch. Main characters are skilled with swords and therefore have AWESOME fight scenes with lots of action!! Both of the main characters are fighting to defeat evil, almost to the point where they've had to sacrifice their lives, but manages to live.

Both Persona Trinity Soul and Blood+ share several key staff members and both shows feature the same kind of atmosphere as well as emphasis on familial themes and relationships. If you like Persona TS, you will more than likely enjoy Blood+ as well.
similar exciting action with intriguing story. Supernatural & similiar style of animation
If you were dissapointed by Blood+ like I was comparing it to the preview and what I expected, you should really try Ergo Proxy. It has many things that Blood+ would never have, although if you would here the story for both of them, you could barely differentiate them, and I'm talking about the atmosphere here. Ergo has the truly dark sceneries, ravages and atmosphere that you'd expect in Blood+, the conspiracy level is way higher and a lot less stereotipical and the difference of levels to what basicly exists in both would continue.
Strong entities who kill each other.
Humans who have to deal with god like mysterious powerfull creatures in the same way.
Dark atmosphere, a girl that is "special" fighting against her own kind...hunting her own kind. The dark, silent male as a love interest and a mysterious past. Drama, blood, people dying. Story goes deeper than at first looks, and furher in history...this especially for Blood+
They both have to deal with in a way vampires when you think about it cause what saya is fighting in Blood + is in fact a vampire when you start to think about the fact they need blood to live
The two stories share a plot that revolves around a strong, young girl set on a mission to fight using her supernatural abilities.
Blood + and first squad both have female protagonists who are really as like as two peas. (Fight manner and loss of memory’s). If you liked one, try another. You may like it.
Both anime are about killing bloodsucking monsters to keep the world safe from those evil creatures. Both anime got the regularly dose of action, violence and bloodshed. Hellsing has more action while Blood+ has more drama. So if you like those vampire based action anime, I'd say watch this.
Blood, gore, and monsterious creatures that rome the night. Both main character's battle these monsters in order to protect the human race and to keep their exsistence secret.

♫same genres (Action, Drama, Mystery)♫
♫both of these anime have dark and supernatural themes♫
♫both these anime have fantastic action packed fighting scenes, and plenty of different mysteries to solve♫
♫anyone who has seen the either Darker than BLACK - Kuro no Keiyakusha or Blood+ would love the other♫
If you like a series with gratuitous action and an ever-deepening mystery where answers only raise more questions about the past of protagonists and the meaning thereof, both are for you. The supernatural spin doesn't hurt, either.
The overall theme of the two might be different, but there's something about them that makes 'em similar. In a way, Saya and Shiki are alike. If you enjoyed the bloody battles and the deep storyline of Blood+, I'm sure you'll find the same feeling here.
Both series feature eerie supernatural elements, lots of gore, strong female leads who posses powers that are unrivaled, lots of action, and beautiful character development as the protagonists figure out who they really are. These are such beautiful series, and I recommend any fan of either one sees the other.
Both animes have a character shrouded in mystery and both of them have another character who loves them whole heatedly in one way or another. The plot is surprisingly similar in many ways. However these similarities aren't felt until the end of the series. If i would compare these two, I'd say these two animes both contain the same plot while one took the dark and mysterious approach the other one took a more childish and lighthearted approach. At the end of the day, both contain the same deep meaning and may leave you with many hours to reflect on them.
♫same genres (Action, Drama)♫
♫in both Blood+ and Eureka Seven, a group of people set out to uncover the history of the female lead and even though they expect a certain amount of seriousness, they never would have expected how deep things go♫
♫without spoiling anything, all I can say is that feelings of sadness, regret, and hope can be found in both♫
Both are Production IG series that belong to the mystery, supernatural, horror genre.
Blood+ is longer, yet more exciting than Le Chevalier D'Eon, but if you liked one, try the other too.
Chevalier is a similarly dark storyline of vampires and the havoc they cause our loved ones. Different time (takes place in baroque Versailles instead of the modern day and victorian period) but the components are pretty much the same.
they are the same..! the girls are fighting their destiny with the guy, (friend.,chevalier.knight.watever!) who's ready to protect them and do what the girl wisHes..
a girl and her companions fight monsters (technically her own kind). both vampires.
Saya~Miyu
Haji~Lava
Chiropteran~Shinma
Diva~Chisato
Lelouch is britannian and he doesnt like the way his father(the emperor of britannia) talks about how the strong shall crush the weak. So he started a rebellion.
Saya is a chiroptera(kinda vampire), and she thinks that Chiroptera are decimating humans, so she joins Aka Tate to fight against her own kin.
Immortality, war, power and betrayals - both series have that, though CG is much deeper and has much better character developments.
The story's almost same even though Devil May Cry is a bit strange and Blood+ is cool with a lot more action!!!
They both have a "girl with sword" main character. And there's magic and love triangles too!
They are both thrillers. There's investigative action in both of them. They both have a handsome blond bad guy with a gentle voice. The bad guys in both animes are very wealthy. Both animes have monsters. They are both very addictive and the stories are very different, but they are both really great animes.
Both shows feature protagonists who live normal high school lives, but are soon dragged into large, action-packed adventures.
Both have dark atmospheres at times. Mostly sword fights with lots of action. Also a bit of drama in both anime's.
♫same genres (Action, Supernatural)♫
♫both Blood+ and Chrno Crusade have as main protagonist a female character and a protective male character♫
♫both of them have a deep and well defined drama aspect and both female protagonists at the begining don't know who they really are♫
♫i'm sure that if you liked one of this two you will definitely like the other one♫
♫same genres (Action, Drama, Supernatural)♫
♫schoolgirls wielding deadly weapons only they can master; this is the basis for both stories, with the story unfolding their fate, as well as the destiny of those that care for them♫
♫Blood+ is dark and gory, while Busou Renkin offers mild humor and comical relief, but the difference in feeling is just a bonus in originality, and any fan of one should welcome the slight change in perspective♫
Both anime have vampire- (like) creatures, blood + doesnt have much comedy and it is definetly more serious. if you like VKG, then you'll like blood +!
They both heavily involve supernatural elements (Exorcist = demons; Blood+ = vampires) and a main character who is darkly connected to those very forces that he/she fights. Both series are quite fast-paced and exciting, and the first episode or two of either should suffice to draw you in.
Both involve demons and protecting, also lost memories and a lot of action.
If you are into the blood, darkness, a little bit of spooky horror not to mention brilliant plot!
Focusing Saya normal high-school girl who live his life at Okinawa island, but it all has started to change when bomber fly over the school.. Strange momeries of the past then incident at school and mysterious man saves her from lollipop!
Noo spoilers here!! ;)
Amazing storyline going thru 50 episodes and the ending is perfect the mighty finale what have been twisting and thightening 48 revial to the truth and to the future.

Canaan and blood+ both focus on two girls (Canaan+Alphard/Saya+Diva) who came from the same origin but live to hunt down one another. Both Canaan and Saya fight not only for revenge, but to protect the people they love. Like Diva's group who creates Delta 67, Alphard's group creates the Ua virus, both which pose a threat to humanity. The stories each focus also on a journalist who happens to witness events they shouldn't have, getting themselves involved in the action... and a partner to the journalist who has an emotional attachment to a characters fighting the antagonists (Maria+Canaan/Mao+Kai).

There are much more stronger similarities with Kuroshitsuji II than Kuroshitsuji because we can easily see a better comparisons (war among chevaliers / butlers):
Saya = Ciel
Haji = Sebastian
Diva = Alois
Diva's Chevaliers = Claude and the others Alois's servants

Well, the resemblence is absolutely obvious: schoolgirls as main characters, both Saya and Utena are top-notch fencers, lots of sword-fighting, repulsive "noble" men characters.
Nonetheless, there are some dufferences.
Firstly, B+ has very little humour, actually, no humour at all. Whereas RGU is not that mournful and is full of jokes (there is even a small annoying mascot). Sometimes jokes in RGU are used in the most serious and crucial moments to show, how odd duelists' pomposity is.
Secondly, B+'s animation is of a better quality than RGU's (in RGU there are >1minute animation sequences steadily repeated in every episode). Although there is a sword fight in almost every episode, RGU is not an action anime as B+ (by the way fights in RGU are rather poor and can't be compared to B+'s ones), it's more likely a drama.
No doubt there is drama in B+: two sisters, trying to kill each other is rather serious a drama. But drama in B+ is just a background for action, and in RGU it's quite the opposite thing.
So, if you are not keen of excessive symbolism and adolescence mental problems, you'd better not watch RGU, because it consisits of symbolism and teenager psychology. If you want more monsters bisected with a katana, go watch something else, RGU won't satisfy you.
As for the characters, they're completely similar as far as their personality is concerned. Both Utena and Saya want to protect their friends and wish they could live happily without fighting. Chevaliers and duelists are alike: although they appear to be noble and physically strong, they turn out to be wicked people, obsessed by their desires.
Ultimately, these series have a lot in common, but that doesn't mean, that you like B+ and you'll definetely like RGU. If you are not bored to death by soul-searching animes, go watch RGU. Or go watch B+ (if you have already watched RGU). I guarantee you won't regret it.

Mystical girl with amnesia is found by her immortal guardian servant (who also happens to be a love interest).
Both involve girls running around with gigantic sharp objects, cutting stuff up. Must I say more?
2 things come to my mind if i compare these 2 anime:
Blood and action
Tall dark mysterious supernatural males partnered with high school female. That's pretty much where the similarities end though...Neuro is nothing like Haji, considering that Haji is Saya's servant and Yako is Neuro's slave...lol

A Story About a Pure Evil Queen of All Vampires and a Pure Good Werwolf Knight wich is sick in a disease called "Love"
Blood + is Also a Story about Love and problems.
Both use the idea of superhumans and experients connected to greedy corperate rich guys trying to take over the world (long sentence, I know). Both mains have huge responsabilitys with trying to protect their loved ones.
Similar in telling a story that ends up on a much larger scale than it started! World and existential issues caught up in a coming-of-age type story. Both have lots of relatively complex minor characters. And both are frequently funny, while also tackling some deep stuff!
Main character is a girl who wounds up in a bad situation she didnt cause. She was chosen (by fate/lineage/blood...) to do something big.
Both anime show the value of family despite not being related by blood. HTe characters are 'siblings' that care deeply for each other.
amazing story and characters's personality complexity
In both series the main characters are typical school girls that after some extrange events, are forced to fight against human like monsters.
Also at first the plot seems obvious and clear, but as the plot goes on, the history keeps getting more twisted and confusing.
Both have that monstrocity element to it, such as people infected and turning into beasts. The animation is stunning, and the characters are believable. Very highly reccomeneded. This is one of my favorite animes.
The main protagonist and antagonist are connected by the past. The interaction between the two are similar in both series. The fate of humans is up for debate.
The main plot lines are kind of similar, and the stories fill out as a tragic history is slowly revealed.
Both have the same violence level with a lot of mutilation, murder and blood, but without nudity. The graphs from are both very similar and very elaborated.
The plot is probably different, but there is one theme - vampires. To be honest it seemed similar to me when Natsuno accepted with the situation and decided to give his blood to Tohru by himself. As far as i know (i can make a mistake, sorry if i will) in Blood+ Haji did the same to Saya and also (i can be wrong with the characters again) Kai did to Irene. Situations are quite different, but when i was watching that moment in Shiki, i thought about Blood+

both have characters who are connected to each other by shared events and forget their past, however;advancing in the series, all of them get to remember their lost memories.
