It has vampires and both the main character and Alucard look strangely alike. Black Blood, however, is more concerned with the nature of vampires, although it also has its share of awesome fight scenes. WATCH IT!
Both series primarily feature vampires and Jirou's design is somewhat of a ripoff of Alucard's design in Hellsing. The difference between the two is that Black Blood Brothers focuses much more on the nature of vampires, but I found that the plot within Hellsing and the general action scenes of the series to be much more intriguing then that of Black Blood Brothers. In other words, if you like Black Blood Brothers you may like Hellsing a lot more.
It is quite possible, Black Blood Brother's took some bit of insperiation from Hellsing... or not. Both stories are about vampires, but they seperate the vampires into two classes, those in control of their blood lust, and who happen to live lives with humans, and those who happen to be zombie like, no control over their hunger, having become, unlike the others, like a viral infection.
Both involve vampires and action. Like Blood+ Black blood involve a deep story line spanning many years. Both involve the hunting down of monsters, Blood+ is chiroptera, and Kowlon children in black blood. Both man characters also have a complicated past
The theme of vampires, blood, and action comes into play in both series. As such Blood+ and Black Blood Brothers are two titles that are quite similar:
Both series has the supernatural theme involving vampires and vampire hunters.
The main characters also has a dark history related to other characters.
Both have a darker story as the episodes progresses.
Overall, watch these two if you're interested into some vampire action.
Black Blood Brothers has the same relationship with the main female character, in both anime you find a person who lived longer than a normal human can (Chrno in CC and Jirou in BBB) they both have lost loved ones from the life they had earlier (Magdalene in CC and Alice in BBB), and in the present time they find an other person they take close to them (Rosette in CC and Mimiko in BBB)
Both feature a special zone for vampires and both feature vampires with special abilities. Both also have werewolves, though it's a vampire transformation for a single individual in BBB and an entirely different species in Dance in the Vampire Bund.
* Both has «Special Zones/Islands» for inhuman creatures (vampires/werewolves..etc)
* Both has Vampire & Human girl as main characters (male vampire & human girl...)
* Lots of action in every episode...( damn, those vampires!!! )
* Really nice OST's ( one of the strongest point of both series )
* Idk, just BBB seems more epic...(StB seems to suffer with too much characters)..
Being someone who tries everything in order to bring peace between different races - humans and vampires, is always a hard job. But you need to do your best so the ones you care about may not be hurt. The lead male characters in both Black Blood Brothers and Trinity Blood - Jirou and Abel, are the kind of guys who after deciding on something, do everything in their power just to see it realized. They are both tough and hard to deal with when it comes to arguing, but deep inside they are soft and caring. Also, they can be considered defenders of justice and peace. And I am sure everyone will deffinitely like them both! read more
In both the main guy is an immortal being that was in love with a girl that reincarnated as a boy, and so, he lives to protect that boy. Both main guys are voiced by Sakurai Takahiro. Also in both there are a group of people with powers.
both are vampire story´s , although i pefer the last vampire WAY more than black blood brothers as an masterpiece, still both are simmilarity in the ´vampire ´genre and earned their name, Especially Blood, the last vampire.
I haven't watched either in years. But when i saw the picture of Gun X Sword, BBB quickly came to mind. While Gun X Sword shows growth, BBB seems to show decline. Other than that, from my memory, they were pretty similar.
Both are about vampires, shiki is more bloody, but it shows vampires struggling to find their place in the world (by less peaceful means). I also recommend this from black blood brothers because Im sure lots of people might not even notice shiki or think its a vampire anime, because I didnt.
Both have plots about a man who fights against demons (or in the case of Black Blood Brothers, evil vampires). Both are very heavy on the action and gore, yet still contain some tender-like moments as well. Both are highly recomended!
Here in lies to vampire Anime where the vampires vary from the norm in some way, shape or form. Both turn out to be rather nice Anime to watch, so all that ends well. On top of this, they have simular styles, though one leans more towards red color schemes and the other a more feminine color scheme.
This anime is similar because the main character who is a vampire helps to protect the world and or humans from evil creatures of the underworld. Also the main male characters in both the animes seem to have the same attitude style.
