Rockets or plasma blasts or something shoot out of his breasts? Generic weapons and he reminds me of the guy from that old Japanese live-action show. I can't remember the name, but he grew tall and fought giant beasts like Godzilla with his gold, pointed helmet? If you know the show, send me a comment and let me know the name cause it's bothering me now. Anyway, I like mecha, but couldn't get into this one. I watched the movie and it was ok, but boring compared to Demon Lord Dante or Devilman.

So many years passed but I still love it.
+Breathtaking plot, the story won't let you get out of a screen!
+great animation (those monsters are so cool, how was I not afraid of them when i was a kid O,o), a lot of blood, meat :D
+Characters' temper and their nature are showed well!
So,I'm reading the Guyver manga at the moment, and so bad there are only 12 series :(

Your classic 90s hero fighting monsters on Earth. The first few minutes of Tetsuwan Birdy reminded me so much of the Guyver OVA series --- dark mood, the music, everything. If you've seen one of these shows, then make sure you check out the other. I can guarantee you'll love it.

Remake of the original animation but a lot less violent/less gore. Many differences to the original along with being stretched out more but that's because there are 24 episodes, twice as many as the original.
