Synopsis

Haru and Natsu are not human. They do not know what it means to be anything but a robot.

Abandoned by their previous owner, Haru and Natsu are taken in by a scientist named Masa. Haru wants to feel, wants to understand how to act human, and wants to know what it means to love. Natsu is just afraid that they will be abandoned again. With Haru striving for positivity, his companion is left alone to drown in his own negative thoughts. Over and over, they ask the same question: what is love?

Interesting short about two robots pandering about life and love.
Art is more of experimental which might not be to the liking of everyone but I don't mind it, it's full of colours and textures.
Sound is not bad, time to time voices sounds bit weirdly but this is small project so I can understand that. Soundtrack was definately more better and got you into mood nicely.
Characters are not that bad but it was too short for me to start liking them. Though they all have their own characteristics and don't feel flat.

Overally I feel like this short is tickling depression behind all of that what is ...

For a ten minute long short, this really packs a punch. Right to the gut. By punch I mean a stab and by gut I mean your heart. Really. It still hurts when I think about this.

It starts off simply enough. Two abandoned robot boys and a surly professor who has taken them in. 'What is love?' Haru asks. Immediately the phrase 'baby don't hurt me...don't hurt me...no more' pops into your head.

Goodness how you wish that came true and that this OVA did not totally destroy you in the most painful way possible.

It's a common enough premise for a story, an AI who wants ...

A beautiful, thought-provoking OVA that suffers from uneven pacing, confusing writing, and bad sound design.

If you've watched any of the Kono Danshi (This Boy...) OVAs, Robotica*Robotics will feel familiar. It has the same dreamy feel and minimal yet gorgeous animation. Sadly, it doesn't get on the same level in other respects.

I'm starting with the art, because it's the best part of this anime. Robotica*Robotics is more like a slide show than an animation in the usual sense. The style is simple and sketch-like, relying heavily on colors to set the mood. Textures are mixed in as pieces of the environment, words as transitions. It does ...
