Gyagu Manga Biyori is a collection of off the wall short clips that manage to present some of the strangest and most hilarious stories ever conceived within a five minute running time--hell, sometimes they even manage to fit two plots into one episode. This length attempts to ensure that things remain frantic, fast-paced and fun, which Gyagu Manga Biyori is for the most part. This series has a critical flaw however: for every gut-buster of an episode, there exists a five minute dud to act as a counterweight, leading to a very uneven watching experience as a whole.

Gagyu Manga Biyori is one of those comedy sketch shows based on the manga of the same name. Set out in short five minute episodes they set out to try to make u laugh by showing you crude drawings silly parodies and anything else in between. Being a super short anime the comedy hits you fast and hard. You'll either get it or you dont. And its painstakingly obvious that they care more about the punchline over the artwork. But then would you care of what you drew if it was a short 5 minute skit of nothing but japanese slapstick?

My full audio review above. This show was great for it's length even if most fo the jokes were lost in translation and culture but the ones that the western audience does get are great. When you get a chance check out the director.
