Both series are influenced to a certain extent by music, specifically types of jazz. Bebop in Cowboy Bebop and Ragtime in Coyote Ragtime Show; so they share the same kind of musical vibe. Both series have a very sci-fi western feel and both are set in an alternate reality where space travel is both possible and used by the every day man. The characters in both series are also fairly similar; the main gang in Cowboy Bebop are bounty hunters and the main gang in Coyote Ragtime Show are treasure hunters (quite like pirates). Both series have episodes set in space and other episodes set  read more

Outlaw star revolves around protagonist Gene Starwind and his crew of an inherited ship dubbed the Outlaw Star, as they search for a legendary treasure called the "Galactic Leyline". The story has space crime syndicate that will do anything to get the treasure and Gene being a bounty hunter / delivery boy / bodyguard and what not with attitude will not take 2nd place. It has a lot of great action and character development that is again one of those anime that slipped under the radar for some people that once discovered will appreciate the gem this series is. Highly recommended.

Gives a similar feeling as the main cast are wanted through the series of the anime. Some other similar things: *One old guy as a main character. *Travel between planets. *Family related things. I would say Zone of the Enders is better and if you liked Coyote then I think you will like it more and maybe Coyote if you liked ZOE.

CRS is more space-oriented than Trigun but both anime have a strong focus on comedy and both have a main antagonist with a past connected to the protagonist. Both anime have great guitar-oriented soundtracks, Trigun having a acoustic guitar one and CRs having an electric guitar one.

Thieves that steal weather some very important item or a large sum of money, that are also chased by one particular person but are never definitely caught.

In both series, there's science fiction theme that takes place in a world that has technology beyond our standards. Then, there's the main male protagonist who accompanies a girl in such a world. The antagonists in both series have their own ambitions and seeks nothing more to achieve it. There's also the themes of space pirates that deals with the underground societies. The soundtrack in both series are also noticeable and while not standing out too much reflects its atmosphere and science fiction backgrounds.

Both sci-fi, and both have a largely female cast.

Both contain occasional fast paced action, both are more modern/alternative world western style stories with bank roberies, riding into sunsets, standoffs, "sheriff" (detective) chasing after a criminal.
