Special episode included in the last of the nine Blu-ray/DVD volumes.

The story is set a few months after the last scene of the television series. On a calm day in Akihabara, Okabe and the other laboratory members are invited by Feyris to go to America. Mayuri and the rest are planning to reunite with Kurisu, who had come back to an American laboratory. A few days later, Okabe's mad scientist persona Hououin Kyouma arrives alone at the airport in Los Angeles, where he may be taking the first step to leading the world into chaos.

Steins;Gate is still one of my favorite series of all time because it makes you cry, laugh and feel something you've never felt before. In the time I finished steins;gate series, I decided to watch this.

This OVA is perfect to watch after you finish series, because it's happening just after it all ended. You just get this feeling like:" I missed you all ". I was a bit skeptical about this OVA, but I'm not disappointed, because this made me cry once more. There is no real plot or something interesting so anyone who didn't watch series, don't watch this neither.

Characters are still the read more

It's just a special bonus episode, but... ***WARNING: SPOILERS*** anyways.

Story: 7/10
Didn't particularly care for the story in this episode but I understand that as a special you can't really have a complicated and deep plot.

It was great as usual.

Sound: 4/10
Yeah... sorry but I cringed a lot at the voice actors' attempts to speak English. It was difficult to take them seriously because it was just... too thick of a Japanese accent. They need to work on their English I guess :P

Character: 8/10
I found it really cool to see the future mother of Suzuha :D

Enjoyment: 6/10
Not a whole lot happened in it, was a little read more

After marathoning the whole TV series I could not resist watching its sequel, this OVA, Oukoubakku no Poriomania (or in English, Egoistic Poriomania) right away - and I was not disappointed at all. It is just as beautiful as its prequel, and I am talking about the final scene. It was not serious, but it would be redundant anyway. Feiris has to go to America and invites her friends - the laboratory members. They visit Kurisu, but she lost her memories about the other world lines, but her life in the other world lines always appears in her dreams. The kiss scene in episode 22 read more

Personally, I started watching Steins;Gate because of its plot which involves time travel time paradoxes, and etc. The problem with this special episode is that it contains little to no "essence" of what Steins;Gate really was all about.

Story: 6
Again the story had nothing to do with the whole Steins;Gate. It focused too much on the romance with little Sci-Fi. The plot consists of Feyris inviting them to L.A. There Hououin Kyouma starts acting like himself thus creating funny and stupid situations. Okabe also wants to come to closure with Makise. The rest of the plot is romance.

I bought the blu-ray edition for this so read more

Prime examples of special episodes that tie up loose ends and enhance the story of the main series.

Ok, so, while these two seem completely different in terms of ideas, the fact is, they have some matching core aspects.
For starters, both are essentially 'slice of life'. That is to say that while there are some strange things that happen, not much of it is outside the realm of possibility. There's a bit of time travel stuff in Steins;Gate: Oukoubakko no Poriomania and there's essentially a second world in Clannad (which plays a role in Clannad: After Story, until which it can be used to see a metaphor for what the main character is feeling).
They also both have a kind  read more
