Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Superman Legend was a 2 episode special created in Japan for the sole purpose of promoting a new line of toys . The plot revolves around the turtles finding magical Mutastones which greatly enhance their powers. Naturally, Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady also acquire stones but nonetheless are foiled by the turtles!

Story: If you're a fan of TMNT plot probably isn't the most important thing to you. Its got all the original characters getting into the usual shenanigans.

Art: For a show thats only from 1996 it looks decidedly crappy. It looks identical to the original 1987, which makes sense considering it ...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a quintessential cartoon of the late 80s and early 90s. It was a fun series that took full advantage of its goofy premise and it became famous worldwide with a lot of tie-in merchandise and other franchises attempting to rip it off. At the tail end of the series run in 1996, Ashi Productions went to work on an OVA to act as a tie-in for the toy line in Japan. And what better studio to work on the Turtles than the one behind... Magical Angel Sweet Mint. Wait, what else did Ashi Productions do? Well, regardless of their past ...

Mutant Ninja Turtles: Superman Legend is a japanese adaption of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Compared to its 1980's counterpart I felt it was to different from the rest of the TMNT series. Although this two part series was to promote toys I felt they could have done more into the super mutation. I also found it quite difficult to understand the bridge between the two episodes (I get they are supossed to be two different stories). In one episode the super mutation made them muscular men with the Saint that they could combine into and then next the were animals.

Honestly I really only recommend ...

If you have a friend who hates anime, then be sure to advise/ make him watch this anime title.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the quintessence of all the takeaways of anime haters. There's everything they like to talk about here

lack of animation
dumb anime tropes with forms of power, reincarnation
A shredder who speaks like a Japanese schoolgirl, a Krank who speaks like a Japanese schoolgirl with a smoky voice
there are even a couple of hypersexualized fairies, just like we like

I generally like the animation of the 90s, and there is a kind of vibe of cheap titles of the 90s, someone may like it, but I ...
