Similar set of beautiful lifestyle living in the country side. With an easy to love cast makes for a lovely series when just trying to relax and escape life for awhile.

A new girl in a peaceful town making interesting friends in a café. While both have a easy-going slice of life feel to them, Tamayura is slightly more mature and calming than the moe and energetic GochiUsa.

Sato Junichi doing what he does best -- making series that heal your heart. If you like one of these sweet, touching, easygoing, heartwarming series, I am fully confident you will love the other as well!

The atmosphere is the first thing that comes to mind when comparing these two. They both focus on specific hobbies (scuba and photography) and manage to tell quite a few deep and emotionally resonant stories around these hobbies. Good slice of life all around. If you want slow but intentional character building, some light drama, some comedy, and most of all a relaxing mood, then give one a try.

Sweet slice of life about the bonds of friendship and building relationships with each other.

As for now those are two series which are most similar (yes I'm counting also OVA) both fluffy and warm slice of life, with slow tempo and nice scenery also I've choosen Orgination as both of them show main character developing and changing.

Tamayura is about a girl who takes up photography, while Sketchbook:Full Colors is about a girl who takes up Drawing, and how both come to shape them. Though Sketchbook takes on a notably less serious tone than Tamayura, the two anime share the same heartwarming quality that makes you just feel at peace with life. It`s quite reasonable to hug a kitten or make a large donation to a charity after an episode of either.

Both are slice of life and the protagonist together with her friends and family.

Both is a trully slice of life, well balanced for all aspect. A bit slow pace but in the end both has perfect ending. *for tamayura case, should watch the entire series.

Tamayura is essentially a more light heart version of K-on that uses photography instead of music.

Both of these Anime are slice of life that deal with life and friendship of a group of high school females as the discover and/or work with what they want to be.

Another great and underrated slice of life. Focuses on a group of girls rather than a girl and her "dad", but both shows share the same wholesome and comfy vibes. Plus the OPs are done by the same singer so if that doesn't let you know they are in the same category I don't know what will.

Both series contains that slice-of-life theme and daily school life. True Tears has more romance themes but Tamayura: Hitotose is still enjoyable. Both OP songs also has a touch of light tone and the art of both series is appreciable.

There's a similar vibe going on in both series. For one thing, most of the cast are cute girls who spent their time around the neighborhood, at school, and with one and another. They are friends and are enjoying their lives. Also, there's a slice of life feeling to the series that focuses on life and its progressive movements. Then, there's the lighthearted mood with the light toned comedy that brings a pleasant feeling for viewers. The girls from both series are also gentle and kind to others.

The two animes take place around a shy girl, who spends time with her new friends.

There's something about the calm outdoor vibe each of these shows gives off that reminds me of the other. They both feature an in-depth look at their respective activities (camping and photography), and it motivates you to go out and do it yourself. The characters are distinct and enjoyable, and the music is super relaxing in both. If you want some nice scenery, heartwarming coziness, and something to bundle up with, these are both excellent choices. Tamayura is more focused on telling a story with character growth, Yuru Camp is more focused on episodic shenanigans, but both leave me with a similar feeling of  read more

These are two of the coziest anime I have seen. While their premises might be quite different, the atmosphere and mood these two portray is nothing short of the anime equivalent of cuddling up in a blanket by a warm fire. They have inviting worlds, charming characters, and will always lift your spirits after a rough day.

A group of girls with many differences who become friends. The story follows the life of Aoi/ Fuu as they start high school and take up an hobby that they enjoyed when they were younger Mountain climbing /Photography. She's shy/clumsy as well as being airheaded at times however with the help of her best friend who were childhood friends when they were younger (Hinata/Kaoru) who quickly becomes friends with two more girls (Kokona and Kaede / Maon and Norie) Both shows are slice of life shows about a group of girls who explore their hobbies together.

There's a similar feeling I get from Tamayura and Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou. For starters, they both take place in a quiet town with a small yet colorful cast of characters. They live life in simplicity although sometimes run into common everyday troubles. But nonetheless, the characters seize every moment to capture memories and make the most of it from the relationships they develop. There is decent amount of comedy and slice of life feeling coming from both series. If you're into a show with a simple and light toned story, give both of these a try.

Both moe, slice of life shows follow the shy protagonist following her interests (Theatre/ Photography) while having fun with her friends.

Both Anime's Have A Very Sweet Storylines Both Have Lighthearted Characters Both Are Relaxing To Watch Both Have Heart Touching Moments And Both Of Those Anime's Will Make You Smile And Cry As Well The Difference Is That March Comes In Like A Lion Is Involved A Shogi Player Named Rei Kiriyama And Lived With The Kawamoto Sisters, While Tamayura Is Involved A Girl Name Fu Sawatari Who Likes To Photographicing Just Like Her Father And Having Fun With Her Friends, If You Like March Comes In Like A Lion, I Would Highly Recommend You To Watch The Tamayura Series

Is what you're looking for, a moe, slice-of-life, lighthearted, warmhearted CGDCT anime? With a touch of Japanese scenery? And yet there is characterization and plot (just not as extreme)? Then look no further, Tamayura: Hitotose and Yama no Susume showcases just that. Easy to watch, none of those mind-bungling plots and complex characters, these anime are perfect for a lazy afternoon or cool night. It's simple, refined, and adds a great rendition to what CGDCT anime are. Plus, both Kana Asumi and Yuka Iguchi are seiyuus in these two anime.

Similarities: Both are about girls finding their own ways of coping with the death of a parent. Both give you room to appreciate the small beautiful things in life. Differences: Sorayori is more melancholic and less fluffy (mono no aware). Tamayura ~hitotose~ has a coherent philosophy of kindness at the heart of it which had a big impact on my life. While Sorayori tackles the feeling of feeling lost in life I don't think that it presents a (simple) philosophy as impactful as that which Tamayura ~hitotose~ radiates in every fiber of its existence. Haibane Renmei and Tamayura are both slow-paced slice-of-life shows that are very relaxing to watch, and they star a bunch of girls in either a fantasy or a realistic setting.

Both shows are heartwarming slice of lifes with a predominantly female cast. Though expressing incredible positivity, I found myself in tears during most episodes of both shows. They are both underrated and are definitely worth watching for fans of the heartwarming, cute girl, slice of life genre.

Both leads in these two animes hated their 'respective roles in which they had alot of potential for, they had exceptional skill yet they refuse to take on that role because they both went through traumatic events of it in their past(s).

Like with the OAV, the Tamayura TV series is centered around a girl who reconnects with a memory and an old dream she used to have, and the friends who stand by her as she gets there. The difference is, while in Tamayura, Fu has to overcome the sadness of her father's death to follow her dream, in Yama no Susume/Encouragement of Climb, Aoi must deal with a phobia: her fear of heights, which also resulted in her becoming somewhat introverted.

Both fall into the 'slice of schoolgirls' life' category, with their easy-going paces, emphasis on character bonds, and inherent sweetness all making them a good match.

Obviously, the plotline and genre of these two shows very starkly contrast with each other, with Tantei Opera Milky Holmes being a comedic and mild action title, and Tamayura ~Hitotose~ being purely a slice-of-life with very light comedic undertones. However, the primary characters of both titles very much remind me of each other. In Milky Holmes, Sherlock is the air-headed leader, Cordelia is the boisterous one, Hercule is the quiet one, and Nero is the tsukkomi; in Tamayura, Fu, Norie, Maon, and Kaoru, respectively, fill these roles. The Milky Holmes characters are more lively and zany than the mostly mild Tamayura characters, but, regardless, their  read more

Both are about a main character that is socially awkward(although Fu is more clumsy than socially awkward) that becomes friends with girls from school(each with their own unique personality) and begin to have more confidence in themselves and more determination to complete their goals(Sawako;Do one good deed a day.Fu;become a photographer).Kimi Ni Todoke is a romance, while Tamayura:Hitotose is a slice of life.Kimi Ni Todoke is more centered around Sawako, while Tamayura:Hitotose main character is Fu,but centers around all four girls and the things they do together.

These are both very calming, cute, and relaxing to watch. If you want a very believable and human coming of age story of growth, self-discovery, and friendship, these two are great. They have some very well-written characters that feel fleshed out and surprisingly ordinary (in a good way). These are two very down-to earth shows that give me the same vibes.
