Devilman: Crybaby and the Berserk movie trilogy both deal with humans vs demons and have dark, mature content. Akira and Ryo have a similar dynamic to Guts and Griffith. Plus, both works are remakes of their respective original series and give an amazing new flavor while still remaining faithful to the source material.

Blood. Limbs and guts scattered. Oh my, your hands would probably get sweaty as you see squads of underdogs fighting against the odds in order to not get slaughtered. These series are both set in medieval times with strong political and military themes. Also, the two have supernatural mysteries that add more to the lore of their worlds. Overall, Berserk and Shingeki no Kyojin are two thrilling, intense and series.

Both anime have a main protagonist who uses a giant sword to fight all sorts or creatures, both humans and monsters. They contain a lot of action and violence, as well as protagonists with anti-hero qualities. The only difference is that the events of DMC happen in modern times, while the events of Berserk happen in medieval times.

Both anime have very similar, distinctive styles. Even though they are set in different times and worlds (medieval Europe vs Edo Japan), both have many similar themes. They focus on a badass main character, as he fights hordes of enemies, both human and inhuman using his swordsmanship skills. Both anime contain a lot of violence, gore, sex and depravity, creating a very similar atmosphere.

Both are epic medieval fantasy anime, featuring monsters and knights. Both have a lot of gritty action, gore and violence. The main protagonists in both anime have similar anti-heroic personalities.

They're both very similar. They revolve around a dark environment, and the worlds are in a great deal of corruption

Both stories revolve around supernatural elements minus the setting which are the main focus of both plots. Also one char has a rivalry with another char. I find some of the characters to be similar though: Shizuo-Guts Izaya-Griffith

there's the band of hawks in berserk which is just like the gangs in air gear :o

Both have stoic and highly skilled MCs who face the world on their own terms, often at odds with established organizations & powers. They also involve found-families which frequently face daunting foes that must regularly be outwitted/fought.

Both animes have a very similar character. Watch to find out which one. They both include 'war', but nobody really cares about that. It's the perfectly developed characters that make the series a masterpiece.

Guin Saga is similar to Berserk in that the main protagonist is a hulk of a warrior that fights for their allies in a medieval setting . This anime in particular focuses more on the world building and politics of the world more than Berserk does.

Action with an element of gore is the way to describe those two anime. It takes a while for the monsters to appear in Berserk, but otherwise the two feel the same from an action standpoint. The only thing that is better in Berserk is the drama. Also both are anime movies with great CGI animation.

Both films mark the beginning of their set of movies and OVA's. These movies give a tale of men understanding their destiny and the struggles they must overcome.

Both Guts and Shin train really hard with their swords and end up doing major damage on the battlefield Both encounter palace conspiracies that plunge them into battle Both anime use CG animations Both Guts and Shin believe in their swords more than anything Both include smart strategems in order to win battles Comrades of Guts and Shin put their trust in them to undergo important missions

Both has violence and gore. Both has monsters and dark vibe to it. Packed both with a lot of action and blood. Highly recommended to people who love these things.

Both animes have a similar medieval setting and are very violent with lots of blood. Both titles have a sword-wielding character fighting off humans and demons in action-packed battles.

Same atmosphere, with the badass and strong MC, and it's something about devil too. Dark atmosphere, but Berserk is darker and has more gore than Maoyuu. And the awesomeness between the two anime is similar! Great adventure anime!!

Both are very dark and mature seinen anime filled with ridiculous amounts of violence and gore. Although they are action driven, they both have interesting plots which feature a great cast of characters and an especially bad ass main character.

Both are stories set in a fantasy world relating to demons and mercenaries, with gorgeous animation and character designs (whose male characters' designs are also fairly feminine) by Onda Naoyuki.

Setting is also in a period of dark ages that people live by the sword. The evil dark forces are very similar to Berserk, a bloody and seemingly hopeless waste.

Log Horizon feels to me like the children version of Berserk in some way. Both anime have many discussion about war, royality etc, each anime with its own way. Some moments really looks similar, as when Crusty talks the that princess, same as Ghrifith done in Berserk (They even have the same voice actor- Sakurai Takahiro)
