While trolling around on Sankaku Complex, a place I'm beginning to despise as time goes on, I was looking at the "Top 10 AT-X Anime of 2010". Whilst being completely unimpressed by the horrible anime choices, I found one I was unfamiliar with, and that was Tamayura.

So, to my curiosity, I looked it up. First impression was, "this looks like crap", "moe-trash", "stupid ova filled with cute girls making stupid faces with cute noises". Then I watched...

The opening scene in *anything* is the most important. Sets the tone, ignites the story, etc. etc. I was expecting the good ol' lazy-girl-wakes-up-late-and-runs-out-the-door opening. To your surprise you're read more

A four-episode OVA series that should soothe any weary heart.

As always, my reviews are spoiler free.

Tamayura is a slice of life that consists of only four episodes, telling the story of Fuu Sawatari and her life as an aspiring photographer. Tamayura is directed by Junichi Satou of Aria, one of the most acclaimed SOL series of all time. It is called a "healing story", and this description is quite apt considering the atmosphere presented in this too-often overlooked series. This series was created before Tamayura: Hitotose, but actually takes place inside of Hitotose's timeline. I would advise watching these read more

The most of what your going to hear about this anime is its Relaxing calm and Temperant. It is soo relaxing it made me get in a better mood. Tamayura Is one in a kind anime with many diverse characters. I felt the need to write a review Regardless of many situations, Yes I do have high expectations of this series. If you love slice of Life animes this is a Huge Must watch.(no looking Back)

Fu likes taking Pictures and is way obsessed taking pics. she has many weird attributes, I really like her nervous acts of courage XD

One other Character that I really enjoy, read more

This is a review from the OVA all the way to the part 2 movie. The scores are scored by the whole series.

Might change if part 3-4 of the movie comes out.

Now, tamayura is an under-rated anime, thing about this Anime is that it is slice of life, and what this anime separates from the other slice of life animes is that, this isn't your usual Comedy Anime with pervy jokes, or Club Anime which bullshits around with romance and fan service, and this Anime absolutely has no fan service at all. What I like about this Anime is that it gives out a chill read more

Anime: Kamichu!
Both have a lovely cute short girl as protagonist together with her girl friends.
Both are slice of life that make you smile.

Anime: K-On!
Both are moe, cute anime that are in the slice of life genre. The art style has the same feel to them, but not quite the same. Both focus on interests and hobbies as well as day-to-day life.
reportRecommended by MisaTange
Anime: One Off
This is pretty much the same as One Off, and it also happens to be an OVA.
You get 4 girls, all friends, each one with their own dreams and things they're good at. It also takes place in a small town, and the main character also happens to meet an older someone that inspires them.
The only notable difference is that, in One Off, the main character actually dislikes the town where the series takes place, but in Tamayura the MC loves it.

Anime: Sketchbook: Full Color's
Makers from the same studio. Both have a similar premise of finding friendship through art and photography in a laidback setting. Cats make recurring appearances in both stories.

Anime: Hanasaku Iroha
A young lady tries to find something out about herself through slice-of-life day to day adventures with the people around her.
reportRecommended by Yemi_Hikari
Anime: Kimi to Boku.
Both are about a group of friends and the things they do together.
