Tsuda Takatoshi is about to begin his first year in Ousai Academy. His decision to enter Ousai was based upon it being close to his home and he paid no heed to the fact he'd be among the first boys to enter the recently gender-integrated school.

On his first trip to school, Takatoshi is surrounded by girls; the train has nothing but girls, the walk to school has nothing but girls and once he finally arrives he is approached by a group of girls and summarily appointed vice-president of the student council and, as expected, he is the only boy there.

Now Takatoshi finds himself surrounded by crazy girls who do nothing but horrify him with their candid conversations about feminine hygiene products and, what's worse, assume he's the worst kind of man, the kind who doesn't clean himself and watches porn all day long.

Seitokai Yakuin domo: The Show Prison School and Shimoneta Wanted To Be!

The Japanese school setting + student council + all girl's school with few male entrants + perverted characters + ecchi/fanservice/nudity/andor harem is a really tired, really overdone concept at this point. For example: there have been at least 20 such shows involving at least 2 of the aforementioned tropes just THIS year. Count 'em.

The reason that there are currently so many of these shows is less that they're a real "work" and more of a "product" designed and marketed specifically to an audience that consistently and routinely purchases their product in large read more

One of the very few cases where explaining things is a BAD idea.

An anime focusing on comedy, Seitokai Yakuindomo is a highschool story where the straight man Tsuda, one of the first male students of the up-till-then female-only school, is forced to become a part of the student council, since the president (Shino) has decided that she needs a male's opinion in managing the now-both-sexes school. Along with her are the secretary, Aria, and the adorable blonde loli Suzu.

That said, from the start Seitokai shows clearly that it isn't interested in promoting any sort of story and each episode after the first is a read more

Is it possible to make a comedy revolving almost exclusively around sex jokes, and not have it come off low-brow and immature?
The answer? Seitokai Yakuindomo.

Thanks to clever wordplay, good writing and actual punch lines, Seitokai Yakuindomo manages to craft a sex comedy that avoids the pitfall of simply being crass for the sake of crassness and is all the more funnier for it. No matter how many jokes about ejaculation they make. By taking their sex jokes down the path of wordplay and and humorous misunderstandings, (instead of making shallow references to dicks and expecting the audience fall over dead from laughter), Seitokai Yakuindomo read more

Let me start off by saying that Seitokai Yakuindomo is probably right up there on the top 5 anime to have me in hysterics every 5 minutes or so, if you're looking for an anime full of laughs, simple characters and no emotional story so there's no drama, this is EXACTLY what you're looking for, if you're looking for romance, ecchi, love triangles, drama, sadness etc, you should probably give this a miss, although there are vague hints of love interest.

The story revolves around Takotoshi Tsuda, A male high school student who decides to transfer to an all-girls school simply because its closer to home, read more

Anime: Seitokai no Ichizon
Both are about a Student Council with all girls save one boy, whom they are often giving a hard time.

Anime: B Gata H Kei
B Gata is ALL about a Japanese school girl going against the anime stereotype that presents them as pure maidens. Yamada wants 100+ male conquests, and she's DETERMINED to use an inexperienced Mr. Nobody to lose her cherry with. Hilarity ensues when she turns out to be a clueless tsundere when it matters; resulting in much date-kiss-sex fail.

Seitokai is similar in the sense it presents school girls as sex-crazed nymphos, with only one train of thought. However, where as B Gata's humour comes from sexual failings, Seitokai's humour is built around two girls turning EVERYTHING - no matter how innocent - the male  read more

Anime: Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai
The girls in these anime are perverts
The jokes are full of dirty jokes, but they are funny so yeah? xD
Male MC is the "Tsukkomi" person in the show
If you like one of this, you should watch the other one
Because it's so similiar one another

Anime: Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai
Same inappropriate humor. Both male characters were forced into the club. One male with many females around him.

Anime: Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
They the opposite in maid-sama they 80% boys and the Seitokai Yakuindomo there almost girl and no boy . and both focus on student council .
reportRecommended by Melisandre
Anime: GJ-bu
The concept behind both series involves a club at school where its members does fun activities on a daily basis. The main male protagonist gets himself dragged into the clubs' many activities.

Both series' club/council members have contrasting personalities that often creates different moods depending on the given premise of the episode.

There is a lot of humor in both series that takes place in the setting of a school life environment. Despite the majority of the cast members to be girls, there is little to no hints of romance. Rather, there is absurd dialogues and comedy.
