Synopsis

Tsuda Takatoshi is about to begin his first year in Ousai Academy. His decision to enter Ousai was based upon it being close to his home and he paid no heed to the fact he'd be among the first boys to enter the recently gender-integrated school.

On his first trip to school, Takatoshi is surrounded by girls; the train has nothing but girls, the walk to school has nothing but girls and once he finally arrives he is approached by a group of girls and summarily appointed vice-president of the student council and, as expected, he is the only boy there.

Now Takatoshi finds himself surrounded by crazy girls who do nothing but horrify him with their candid conversations about feminine hygiene products and, what's worse, assume he's the worst kind of man, the kind who doesn't clean himself and watches porn all day long.

Is it possible to make a comedy revolving almost exclusively around sex jokes, and not have it come off low-brow and immature?
The answer? Seitokai Yakuindomo.

Thanks to clever wordplay, good writing and actual punch lines, Seitokai Yakuindomo manages to craft a sex comedy that avoids the pitfall of simply being crass for the sake of crassness and is all the more funnier for it. No matter how many jokes about ejaculation they make. By taking their sex jokes down the path of wordplay and and humorous misunderstandings, (instead of making shallow references to dicks and expecting the audience fall over dead from laughter), Seitokai Yakuindomo read more

Seitokai Yakuindomo is a school comedy with little or no relevant story that focuses largely on verbal adult humor, generally avoiding visual adult humour. As with most shows of this genre, it isn’t mind-blowing or beautiful – throughout the show I found myself noticing little aspects that the show could have done without.

However, at the end of the each episode, I looked read more

Both are about a Student Council with all girls save one boy, whom they are often giving a hard time.
B Gata is ALL about a Japanese school girl going against the anime stereotype that presents them as pure maidens. Yamada wants 100+ male conquests, and she's DETERMINED to use an inexperienced Mr. Nobody to lose her cherry with. Hilarity ensues when she turns out to be a clueless tsundere when it matters; resulting in much date-kiss-sex fail.

Seitokai is similar in the sense it presents school girls as sex-crazed nymphos, with only one train of thought. However, where as B Gata's humour comes from sexual failings, Seitokai's humour is built around two girls turning EVERYTHING - no matter how innocent - the male lead says into sexual innuendo.

Nothing that rocked my world but still much more enjoyable than pure-pure rom-coms and the like.
