Recommendations

Both of the series have a male protagonist with similar personality. Sakuragi Hanamichi and Mitsuhashi Takashi are a lot alike; they have idiotic smiles and laughs, Hanamichi used to be a delinquent while Mitsuhashi is still one, they both like to fight though they often use tricks to escape from the difficult situations and find the easier way from them.
Both animes are full of humorous things; their genres are shounen and comedy, while in Slam Dunk sport (basketball) has a great role as well.
Both series were aired in the '90s, that's why the design of the anime is unique, i find the way they make the characters into chibis cute and adorable.
Kyou kara Ore wa!! isn't subbed completely, only the first OVA has English subs unfortunately.
