Synopsis

In a town where discrimination based on colors is in place. A boy wearing red who is at the bottom of the society. A girl who passes him every time he is attending night high school. In the past, she had encountered the boy who scribbled on a wall. The girl who has understood the meaning of the message. At that time, what was the meaning of the girl's smile to the boy. Two people who have passed each other on countless occasions pass each other again in this short Boy Meets Girl animation.

"Life no color" plays with no dialogue against a sparse IDM soundtrack, opening with a boy who is being put-down by a group of his peers. It is about 4:00 and worth watching twice, if you appreciate it.

I think the film did a great job of placing you immediately in a real world situation with a character that was accessible. I also thought the cell shading of the carousel and the choice of background art, and how it ties into the character and back-story, was smart, impeccable and interesting, enriching the "contained" environment. Recommendations

Anime: Durarara!!
Urban environments and an emphasis on the color of clothing worn by their characters is what these two have in common. In Life no Color, those at the bottom of society wear red clothing to symbolize their inferior status, while those above them wear blue. Durarara!! deals with "color gangs," who show their alliance by wearing specifically colored clothing.
