Those who are squeamish about sexual innuendo's or visual jokes about the human anatomy and sexual preference should not watch this show by all means. But others who don't care about that stuff because its commonplace in an anime this one is a cant miss.
Can't miss because its 4 episodes and because it's a pretty laugh out loud comedy if you don't mind the aforementioned style of comedy. Basically the story starts out as Ryofuko Housen, a general for the Three Kingdoms and his Lieutenant get transported from their alternate universe to the real world with one catch.... They turned into preteen little girls. At first, the viewer is going to turn out and think this is going to be a lolicon festival. For the most part the viewer is right and wrong. Right as in theres so much fanservice than there are stars in the sky, but wrong as in if you watch it closely its making fun of lolicons in every which way imaginable.
I say that because the for the first time in in a LONG while I actually found the male characters more of a draw to the show than the girls. The guys are all hilarious in every way. From homosexual acts to lolicon fetishes, they get stuck in the worst predicaments its hilarious. And when I mean males i mean the ones sounding like actual men, not the chibiko girl voices of Ryofuko and company. My favorite was the voice of Koujin, being the narrator and a character in the show you will hear his voice everywhere but its never gets old. Simply because the voice is so serious but he's stuck in hilarious situations. The whole show is like that.
Never mind the story, the story is complete and utter hogwash. But the overall character chemistry, personalities, their voices and situations make this show so fun to watch. None of it will make sense and it even makes fun of itself for doing so but anyone who enjoys laughing at otakus, homos, lolicons, perverts, and such, give this show a shot. Its just pure adult comedy. read more

First of all, I AM A CHINESE living in China Hong Kong. I do studied The Three Kingdoms period for acadamic needs and self interest. Again as a Chinese, I'm quite strict on stories/animes based off The Three Kingdoms - and in this case, Ryofuko is not that good.
Story: 4/10
Being a fanservice anime, I didn't require story that is very rich or interesting. And though the first half of the story is decent to me (where it explained that how the manly man Ryofu turns into a loli girl), however, the storyline totally didn't made good use of the Three Kingdoms. Some characters with the same names are appeared but their personalities, settings etc. are totally not related to the originals, and the Three Kingdoms background didn't play an important role despite naming the characters.
Art: 6/10
The art is okay, you know as a fanservice anime art is important right? The main girls are pretty well drawn, fans of this genre would be pleased. Though the guys are comparetively poor (compared with other fanservice anime's minority guys). I do not like the show, but I Chinkyu is very appealing to me I have to admit. (and I'm not a loli con)
Sound: 6/10
Cute op and ed. And the ost is decent, fair enough for such a fanservice anime.
Characters: 5/10
Most female characters are cute, but then again their bonding with the Three Kingdoms are way too weak. The main selling point for a Three Kingdoms based anime is its Three Kingdom theme! Lacking those important bondages is simply no fun, no different from watching a below average lolicon fanservice anime. (And Ryofuko who is a magical girl didn't feel like Ryofu, and the famous Sou Sou even has a personality that TOTALLY opposed the original historical figure)
Enjoyment: 2/10
It is boring, no fun. So far below average - and mainly because of my strict attitude on its Three Kingdom theme so that I failed to focus on its cuteness.
Overall: 5/10 (I rated 4/10 in my profile, but 5/10 is much more decent for all)
If you'd like a fighting magical girl, I reccomand Dokuro-chan for you.
If you'd like a very cutre magical girl(with tons of fanservice), I reccomand Moe-tna.
It you'd like a Three Kingdom based fanservice anime, I highly reccomand Koihime Musou(which I love very much) for you, it has awesome characters, soundtrack and storylines.)
But not Ryofuko, this anime attempted many high aims(fighting scenes, Three Kingdoms, magical loli girl etc.) but none of them was achieved. Anyway if you just wanna take a break, kill time, this simple, brainless - but somehow quite cute(Just look that that Chinkyu, Cuute!), watch it then. read more

Both have quite a bit of fanservice, powerful loli characters, and elements based on The Three Kingdoms.
If you enjoyed one, you'll probably enjoy the other.
