SynopsisPatricia and Isobelle O'Sullivan arrives at the St. Claire, a college for girls, to study and live in the new home. In there place, they meet to Alison, Wella, Catherine and Doris, who live too in the St. Claire, and join with their in the team spirit. and both about twins

Both anime present the daily life of girls in an all girls' school. While the action in Marimite is set in the present, the general 'idyllic' atmosphere makes it really similar to that of Ochame na Futago. Of course, the latter has no shoujo-ai undertones.
