Okane ga Nai

Okane Ga Nai is about Ayase, an 18-year old boy, who is sold on auction by his cousin, so that said cousin can pay off his debts. Ayase is bought by the handsome and violent Kanou, who Ayase apparently helped in the past or something. What he did is never really explained, but it was enough for Kanou to fall in love with him.
In the beginning you think; "Oh, that's adorable. He came to save him and now maybe Ayase will fall in love with him and they'll live happily ever after."
Sadly, that's not what happens.
Instead, Ayase wants to save his cousin from the evil collectors and begs Kanou to help him save him. Kanou doesn't understand why Ayase wishes to save the cousin that sold him (and honestly, neither do I), so when Ayase accidently gives Kanou a small scratch on the cheek, Kanou rapes him.
I'm not kidding, he rapes him. And afterwards, he claims that Ayase owes him and the only way to repay him is to sleep with him for money (hence the title "no money").
And that's the show, ladies and gentlemen, Kanou rapes Ayase. Again and again and again, and sometimes someone else rapes him. So I guess you could call the show "Uke gets raped a lot".
But that's really not the worst part. Ayase starts to have FEELINGS for Kanou, at least when he isn't being raped by the jerk. I mean, what the hell? Ayase undeniably suffers from Stockholm syndrome. I wish this show wouldn't try to redeem itself with a love story. It could've worked, if Kanou didn't rape poor Ayase. But no, the show tells us that Ayase LIKES having sex with Kanou. Well, I guess it's alright then!
Honestly, the plot makes little to no sense, but boy is it candy to the eye!
I admit it, the situation itself is horrible, and Kanou uses poor Ayase to the extreme while the creator tries to convince us that it's okay. But it would be worse if the show didn't give us the satisfaction that it does. We see the beautiful uke in dreamy situations that would make any seme want to jump him, and Kanou is delightfully dominant and caring when it counts. Not many yaoi-animes have given me so much to squeal and drool at.
But, admittedly, this is not for everyone. If you're the yaoi-fangirl who likes sweet stories were the boys slowly realize their love for each other and everything's flowery sweet and deeply plotted, skip this one. It will probably make you cry in disgust. But if you like it a little rough with extreme seme/uke relationships, rape and bondage, this is for you!
As I said, this is pretty much soft porn, the plot isn't really that important; it's just there so we can see our cute uke get into dreamy, hot situations. Give it a try if you like those sorts of things, if not, I recommend watching "Junjo Romantica" instead. read more

This is the second yaoi I've ever watched. It KILLED all my good-hearted intentions to give yaoi a chance. This anime is story-less, senseless and totally pointless. It's pure yaoi fanservice, there is no trace of romance if you ask me.

A young boy sold on auction. The buyer wants him to fall in love with him. He pays him for sex. Wait, what?
These 4 episodes contain nothing that's connected to what it should be connected. It's a mix of explicit scenes, tears and rapes. Rather un-romantic, if you ask me. Not to mention there is a whole bunch of old aged gays in this anime. How stupid is that?
Oh~ but the dumbest things are so-called plot twists, that aren't 'uuuh' at all. Just weird, and TOTALLY POINTLESS.

I'll give them credit for that one. The art is the only thing that actually caught my eye in this piece of trash. Some of the scenes were highly detailed, especially the explicit ones... though, we don't wanna remember these.
The character design was rather awesome, although they totally missed with proportions. They are different all the time. Ayase is supposed to be average tall boy, yet only reaches Kanou's chest. Err, is Kanou a 3 meters tall giant? It appears so, but no~ they just made a huge mistake in art AND in plot - it appears Kanou is a pedophile, or at least that's my conclusion. Thank you, Art!

Horrible enough. The opening was some melodramatic emo stupidity, I hated it and skipped it all 4 (actually 3) times. Ending... forgotten. That's just how good it was.
GOD, I hate the voice actors. They do such a good job they make you wanna puke when you put voices and scenes together. Ayase sounds like a girl, Kanou like a rapist, and the okama doesn't sound like okama at all.

What I like is Ayase's personality. That is, he's the only NORMAL person around. Everyone else are crazy horn balls, rapists and lunatics that enjoy other people's suffering. Go figure what I hate.
Kanou is DISGUSTING, HORNY, UGLY piece of trash. He says he loves Ayase. Does he? Well, he says so, but didn't show that pretty good!
Okama's are funny, aren't they? A real comic relief, if okama wasn't there, I don't think I would make it trough.

Was there any~? Well, considering this is yaoi full of hot sweaty guys... no. XD No seriously, romance is lacking BIG time. The scenes are perverse, their conversations, and characters are perverse, and in this anime, you'll feel just like Ayase, trust me. TRAPPED. Just as he is trapped with maniacs, you'll feel trapped in anime,and BEG for miracle to save him, you'll be thinking what ways would you get out of this situations. It totally strikes you soul, but in a bad way. I honestly felt depressed after watching it.

Okane ga Nai is bad. Really bad. They should've waited for manga, and let out a TV production, and not this trashy OVA, which is plotless, and filled with fan service. I rated it like this because I liked Ayase enough to cheer him on, and art wasn't a total waste. Do not watch unless you're really in need of some hot scenes or something like that, or on the other hand, if you have something better to watch. There are thousands of anime out there folks!
