Lupin III: Part III

Lupin III Part 3 also known as the pink jacket series. Im not suprised there is not a review of this series because of its lack of exposure to the outside of japan. It was actually quite hard to find for me and when I did get it, the subs were not that great unless I believe that lupin would want to steal 100 american dollars (probally meant 10,000,000 or at least one million I would hope)

The plot is pretty obvious but ill put it on here anyway. "Lupin and his gang travel throughout the world to steal treasures and escape from the law." (wikipedia)

The story is basically episodic just like the other series I believe there was one two episode special in this series with the story being about Jigen which was good but other than that every episode has a different story. Some of episodes are really good and really funny and some can get really boring.

The animation was worse than the last two series. The characters look way different but it gets a little better as the series goes on or I just got used to it. The animation reminded me of like a late 80s american cartoon.

The Sound is not bad but not good either. The music is not as good as series 2. The theme song and ending songs are nothing special. Voice Acting was good though and I believe Goemon has a different VA than he had in series 2 and he was quite good as Goemon no drop off what so ever.

The Characters are back and being them normal selves.
Lupin the Master thief Is still stealing and causing trouble for Zenigata and everybody he is stealing from the mob, criminals, rich people, Governments and others. He also still has that weakness for women especially fujiko.

Jigen is also back as the sharpshooter and Lupin's loyal partner. Still does not trust Fujiko (for good reason)

Goemon is back with his awesome samurai skills and his old school code of honor.

Fujiko is back and being her usuall self by trying to ripp off Lupin and the others but when she gets ahead of herself and gets in trouble the first name she calls for help is Lupin

Inspector Zenigata is still trying to catch Lupin with not much sucess but he still makes it much harder for lupin to steal stuff.

The series was good just not great but I wasn't expecting great. I would recommend watching if your a die hard lupin fan and want to watch everything lupin (if your a die hard lupin fan you would prob watch it anyway lol). If your not a die hard lupin and want to watch some lupin or you are just start and want to tryout lupin I would watch something else like either lupin series 1 or 2 or one of the movies or specials. I would recommend Lupin III The Castle of Cagliostro movie or Lupin III Episode 0: First Contact special I havn't watched this special but I heard it is a great introduction to the characters and a good story itself.
