Night Shift Nurses is one of the most controversial Hentai anime I have ever seen. There’s a heck of a lot of psychological mind games and BDSM, so it’s certainly not for the faint hearted.

The story is about a hospital that employs a doctor, to help them with their future “special ward” the chief director is planning, but first they need some obedient nurses for this “special ward”. This pretty much means he has to get some dirt on the nurses, use it against them and then desecrate them. As you’ve realized the basic premise is “blackmail”, which may not be the favourite hentai concept for some but this is one of the few that’s done fairly well. That pretty much sums up the first half, with the second half being a sort of re-cap in the form of a police interview.

The doctor in question, Ryuji Hirasaka has to be the most cruel & perverse main hentai character ever. Sure there are a tonne of sick creeps in the hentai world but none are portrayed as realistically as Ryuji and his actions and manner of speak prove to be believable. The victims are all basically cute nurses, each with their own personality (sweet, energetic, naïve and headstrong), which makes their experiences completely different from each others and its easy to get mixed feelings about it all.

The animation quality is pretty good for a somewhat dated hentai anime. The characters in general may lack detail or consistency but the main ones have well-defined features and move fluidly (even during non-sex scenes). However the quality of the drawn environments is pretty poor.

The sound quality is alright, with a decent soundtrack that can easily go unnoticed during the sex scenes. The Japanese VAs did a good job on their characters and seemed very convincing but unfortunately the English VAs just plain suck.

Overall Night Shift Nurses is one hell of a depraved Psychological, Hentai anime that will most definitely disgust you with its sickening formula (enema & eggs = scat). Sure there are some enjoyable aspects to it, Ryuji hilarious one-liners but that doesn’t change the fact of how increasingly depraved the sex becomes. So it’s up to you to decide whether to leave this in your forbidden pile, or allow curiosity get the better of you.

This disgusting anime left me huddled in a corner. I felt corrupted, violated, and I knew I could ever eat boiled eggs ever again.

If you like bondage, watersports, scat, bloodplay, rape and S&M, then by all means, don't watch this. Honestly. You will lose your interest in any of these things because Nightshift Nurses makes you never want to have sex (or have anyone touch you for that matter) ever again.

The art was incredibly good though, for a hentai. Good production values, and it shows. However, the characters weren't very good. Let's see, rapist and rape victims. Sounds like hentai to me, but does it make it a good anime? I think not. I can't say I enjoyed this. I was nearly to the point of tears; it's terrible and frightening. I know other hardy young men even cringed and felt like crying, so I was not alone. But the thing was like seeing someone get shot--you just can't look away.

This is a scarring anime, and it does nothing but ravage your innocence and show you numerous unfabulous uses for an egg. read more
